Great collection review! That Tuzi 323 is just wow!
323 is great (if you don't need a clip). I bought a bunch of PenBBS back when they were really new and the prices were VERY low.
I had the Galaxy resin model and for reasons I cannot remember, sold it. I decided to get it again. I got the white cracked ice version. It is translucent and the pen is great as an eyedropper. It holds a lot of ink.
It is such a nice pen for the hand and swapping nibs is a breeze.
Hi Chris, great video of your 323 collection. I absolutely love the 323, my only wish is that PENBBS stop making these silly filling mechanisms (like the magnetic) and make these pens again, the shape is amazing.
Awww I love the 487! All mine work great! I have small hands and that model is a great fit for me.
Awesome 323 collection! 🎉 i'd easily pay 65 dollars for a 323 Tuzi.
Good starting price. But we all know, happiness has no price.
1. The 323 is definitely the most cool for your buck.
2. Aren't the lines of the metal version slightly different, softer? They should have given it a different number.
It's a nice looking pen. I would buy one but I do like clips on pens.
I guess the Tuzi might be wortth $30-40US ??
Hello, thank you for your review. I have a question that is not really about this pen, but in general does Wingsung 699 nib fit Penbbs pen or Asvine V126/V200?
Nib should fit. Not something I would do.
You mentioned Bock and Jowo nibs. So they can fit in to the PenBBS 323? I can just screw in it a Bock #6 nib unit? I thinking about a nice Galaxy PenBBS 323, but with a Bock #6 titanium nib.
Nib units not compatible, can swap nibs, using PenBBS nib unit.
@@chrisrap52 The main thing is that so I can use it with a #6 Bock nib.
The Majohn S5 is similar.
I love the S5. I loved that it came with 3 nibs. Very comfy in the hand.
Similar but smaller. In my hand not as comfortable.
I was sold on PenBBS through review sites. Bought three over a period of year. Great writers? The nibs were horrible -- scratchy, hard, and dry.
Bummer. Sounds like bad luck.
While their nibs D0 ship to you on the drier side, as they are designed for chinese/Japanese writing, you can easily widen the tines and improve the flow. I own a TON of PenBBS and they are all incredible writers.
Bummer about your bad luck!
Need to learn to write with some nibs or learn to tune them to your liking. There are many options.
@@chrisrap52 No, I don't need to do that. I have about 20 fountain pens. They provide different writing experiences, which is wonderful. What's not good are Penbbs nibs that, at best, need me to work on them. Playing around with nibs that don't write, or barely do like the Penbbs nibs I got, isn't my cup of tea. (Incidentally, not to sound biased, my first Leonardo Momento Zero was horrible. Threw it away, much to my chagrin. I even sent it out to get "tuned," but the nibmeister said the pen was beyond redemption due to other defects.)
I've never had any PenBBS pen fail to write or skip. Some are dry. Fountain pens usually respond well to some minor work. It is part of using them. Do you flush before inking? Have you pulled nibs to check feed? Consider opening up feed channel. Hope you have better experiences.
@@chrisrap52 My PenBBS pens didn't fail totally to write. They did skip a little. All were dry and scratchy to the degree I felt were failures. I refuse to do any work, minor or otherwise, on a fountain pen I buy. Like, I buy a refrigerator and I should monkey with it to keep my food cold? (P.S., yes, I do flush. No, I never pulled the nibs and I never will. And I will never open up "a feed channel." Is that my job when I buy a fountain pen? Like I should tune my engine when I buy a new car? I would argue it is the job of the manufacturer or the retailer. No? You disagree?
These are serious, not rhetorical questions. I think they would make good topics for you to discuss and defend on your enjoyable Web site.
