Did you do anything to the ends where each board meets the other? I was expecting to see a seam, but I can hardly tell. Each slat looks like one large piece of wood that goes from one end of the ceiling to the other.
How far did you space the slats apart? I am trying to do the same for my camper van. As my cuts arent perfect the slats leave uneven spacing between them if I dont deliberately space them apart
You definitely have to have precise cuts to get an even look, we spaced ours the width of a board apart so 1/4", but I'd say maybe do more for yours if your cuts aren't perfect or you will be able to clearly see it doesn't align.
I’m a sucker for wood beams but the slates look amazing! Definitely a total change of the style of the space! ❤
Thank you! We love it ❤
Yes they came out perfect definitely not something I would have thought of and I'm hooked. I love the look and you picked a perfect stain
Phenomenal achievement congratulations on a job well done
Thank you so much! Definitely worth all the hard work!
Looks pretty rad
Beautiful!
The wood beams are nostalgic for me but I love the slats😍
Happy New Year to you and yours 💕
This is so much better
could you show how you choose to complete the corners? like the skylight
You should check out the Miracle of the Sun
Thumbs up
Beautiful work---need more detail instruction. Were the 4x8 sheets of plywood Sandee? or CDX? how thick? 1/2" 3/8" or 3/4"?
We used 1/4" 4x8 birch plywood
@@WildwoodFilms did you secure them with glue? or brad nails?

Nope we didn't just butted them against each other when installing! You can see the seams in person a bit more

Just about your carpets etc
Make sure that glue wasn't asbestos
Yes we had everything tested beforehand
I liked the beams better. Should have statted in between them
