I used dawn degreaser and warm water soaked paper towels stuck them to the wall. Waited 25 min . Got a very damp hand towel soaked in plain hot water. I ironed over the cloth on the wall. The paper fell off Basically, poor mans steamer.

Did you do anything to the ends where each board meets the other? I was expecting to see a seam, but I can hardly tell. Each slat looks like one large piece of wood that goes from one end of the ceiling to the other.

Glad you removed it. Wall paper no matter if it’s vintage or modern looks ugly and cheap in my opinion, wood planks, textured walls or other decorative options are way better and look valuable 😊
