I just don't get why at 1:37:15 Sharp would move his army out in front of his base with no turret protection, no scouting, etc. like where is he looking? Everything hinges on those 2 valks and his attention is elsewhere, only glancing at his own army after moving it completely out in the open. Just very low level mistake, surprising to see. Also honestly all the Terran pro's need to spend some time working on their Valk play, lot of lost games, if they just turtle for another minute or so until they get 4 valks out together and more marines and then the army can just move right across the map and more then likely kill the zerg, they get antsy and the zerg jumps them before they mass and they die almost every time.
Definitely a huge mistake, but the reason terrans get antsy is they don't know if the zerg is making more mutas, or taking a 3rd and putting 5 lurkers there, or getting +1 armor with a 3rd and playing really greedy. You can't scan every possible 3rd and scan what pops out of the eggs, so they kinda have to move out (just with better execution on valk/marine control)
@@pie2these I know they are worried about lurkers but I feel like even if they get lurkers out you can kill all the ovies on the entire map and have them locked in their base while the game continues, its not like the game is over at that point for the Terran if he doesn't kill the zerg then and there.
@@JoshDragRace0688 Some games from soulkey he will leave scourge traps around the map, which make it really hard to not lose any valks unless you get up to 5-6, and at that point the zerg's 4th should be done with defiler ultra maybe 80% finished, with the terran on 2 base with no vessels. zerg can (sometimes) stall out the valks with scourge + hydras long enough to get ultra defiler out, and I think too many games were getting to that point that terrans would rather take their chances that they don't mess up the control. It seems like the current meta for stacking valks is a read that the zerg will make more muta scourge (trying to punish the antsy terran) instead of taking a fast 4th and rushing to defilers.
He's not doing it live ... you can tell because often he finishes talking and the woman is still talking. In that sense, we don't know if he's "insanely good" or not.
Maaan, seeing Queens in action is so nice. Still waiting to see a pro send 10 scourges and a queen to a CC that's about to get lifted because of zerling infestation, only to be picked up by scourges and a queen. Also, I really love what Sharp did in the first game. It wasn't just the marines at the 3rd, it was also the early SCV scout, the double firebat which were sent to harass, but also kept the mutalisks busy for a while, the sunken bust, then those 4 marines - all of these great decisions, that surely were also well planned (well, some of them).
1:37:20 A couple little things happened here that cost sharp the game. One, he was too aggressive with the valks, and waited far too long to pull them back to the safety of the turrets. This let hero nail the first valk. Two, hero got verrry lucky with his second scourge- it took TWO turret hits on its way to the second valk, and the third and lethal missile was in the air on its way when the scourge connected with the valk. With those two two singular events not happening, the mutas wouldnt be able to whittle down the marines, the zerglings wouldnt have been able to rush the miners, and the midgame would have continued with the edge in sharps favor. Great game

herO is the most complete zerg right now. He has that game sense where any advantage immediately snowballs into a win. You saw it in game 3, after he deflected the wraiths herO seemed to perfectly steer the game from there. He's the only zerg who can kill you at any point in the game, you don't want to play against lategame herO but his early game offense and defense are both top notch as well.
Artosis: notice that terran has 63 minerals here, if he had 65 it would be optimal to build 2 marines, but instead Sharp is going to correctly go for the single marine variation. Tasteless: I know we might have some new viewers here, so just to quickly explain, Starcraft is a real time strategy game where you die if you lose all your buildings.
Artosis having a seizure for an hour and a half while his wife shrieks and calls for an ambulance was chilling, but Tasteless just ignoring him and commenting over it on the games was just brutal.
I also hated when Artosis was brutally hitting his kids and you could hear the smacks clearly. Thats just not cool either! But man can multitask ,gotta give him that!

I'm a simple fan, if you mix in Battlecruisers as a terrran, Queens with Zerg or dark archons as protoss then I'll be your fanboy and cheer until you win ASL. Sharp is now my new starcraft crush, sorry Royal.
Spoilers I feel like more than any other unit, the Valk has the biggest gap between how much Tastosis hype them up, and how they actually perform in game. They always talk about crushing the mutas with them, and the valks always, always just die immediately, sometimes to scourge, but sometimes just to the mutas. As someone who doesn't play BW...what gives?

If only Terrans could learn that Restoration stops Plague on SVs and BCs.. I still don't understand why BCs aren't kept with the army vs Ultras.. It should be a rule in every Terrans head to have a Bunker at the front of every base with a firebat and a marine in it to deal with the inevitable ling runbys.. Great games by Hero though. Mutas are truly Sharps Kryptonite.

It doesn't always happen. Oftentimes the mutas melt. Oftentimes they just stay back.
