That is also my question. I also have to go out at night to pee, and my girlfriend never has to, i guess she would be annoyed if she had to go out with me at 3AM 😂
I have a 2.0 and still love it. After all these years of heavy use it's still as noce as the day i bought it. As a person who frequently gets up to go to the restroom in the middle of the night will it cause problems for the other person? I do love the option of a single hang for two.
That's awesome to hear that your 2.0 is still going strong after all these years! As for your concern about getting up in the middle of the night, rest assured, it shouldn't cause any major issues for your hammock buddy. Having a buddy in the hammock can actually work in your favor. They act as a stabilizer, which means less overall movement. So, while there might be a gentle sway, it's not as disruptive as you might think 😊 With a little practice and consideration for each other's space, sharing Draumr Double can lead to some seriously restful nights. So, no need to worry! A good night's sleep is definitely still on the cards, even if you need to go to the restroom with a buddy in the hammock! 😁
I have been waiting years for this product. Is an XL (longer version) coming out? Edit: according to the FAQs on their website, there will not be a longer version.
Hi there! 👋 An XL version of the Draumr Double will not be offered at this time, and I'm afraid there are currently no plans to develop one. The Draumr Double is specifically designed to accommodate two LW (198 x 65 x 9 cm) pads, creating a sleeping surface that feels both longer and wider compared to the Draumr 5.0, which is intended for use with a single LW pad 😊
Wow. thank you. one question: what’s about couples who likes to lay closer together ? is it possible to sleep together on one side or is it possible to swtich the place in the hammock?
You can sleep on one side, but that really defeats the point of the double hammock, the Draumr Double is designed for a good night sleep for the both of you, giving you one pad each :)
Hvordan er den om en person vil slappe av i køya? Både i ligge og den nye sofa modusen :) Fungerer det fint, eller bør det helst være 2 personer i køya samtidig? Hilsen fornøyd Amok kunde :)
Heisann! Takk for spørsmål! 🤩
Hey everybody - If you go to their website and go under the FAQ on the Double you will find answers to the questions. I had the same but also went there and found my answers. Just check it out AND if more needed just email their support team directly. These guys are great on service/support - I know cause I own 3 of them and use the AMOK 99% of the time. I have the 4 the 5 and the Ultra Light. I may get this, however, both my wife and I are older and she isn't into hammock camping anywhere near what I am. Based on the website answers to the FAQ on the double, even IF I take it along and she chooses not to use it I can still use it single. js
Thank you so much for your insightful comment and for sharing your positive experience with our products! 🙏 We're thrilled to hear that you find the FAQ section helpful and that our support team has been able to assist you effectively. It's wonderful to know that you're a dedicated fan of our gear, owning three of our products and using them so frequently. We appreciate your consideration of the Draumr Double, and it's great to hear that even if your wife isn't as keen on hammock camping, you can still enjoy it solo. Thanks for your support and happy adventuring! 🤩
I noticed that there isnt a new tarp online or anything mentioned here (unless I missed it, in which case, my bad). Will the regular tarps you have for the 5.0 suit this new design as well? :)
Hi there! Our Skjold 10 tarp is big enough to give good coverage over the Draumr Double. The previous version of this tarp, called Skjold multitarp, is a bit smaller and will cover the hammock, but if there's rain AND wind you might get a little wet. Team Amok
Thank you! 🙏 It's a bummer that your wife won't join you on your outdoor adventures, but hopefully, the Draumr 5.0 is still adding enjoyment to your solo outings. Thanks for your support, and happy adventuring!
@@golfish8589 I have a few ideas: maybe some attachment points for a quilt, a winter sock to make it wind/snow proof. In the head area a elastic fabric to keep the pillow in the right place. A complete sleep system like Zenbivy but just for the draumr. Possibilities are endless:)

Hi! 200 kg (approximately 440 lbs) is the maximum weight load for Draumr Double. It is more due to the added forces on the suspension points (use only strong and healty trees!) and the suspension, rather than on the hammock fabrics. The closer you are to the weight limit, the more you need to pay attention to the suspension points and to be very carful not to tighten the suspension straps too much (a very tight suspension will not make the hammock any flatter, and will only multiply the forces on the trees and the hammock buckles!)
Hi there! The Draumr Double might be a little tight for you at 202 cm. Our recommendation will always be to try it out for yourself to find the answer. We have a 100 day return policy that allows you to test the gear. There is no XL version planned. You can sleep alone in the Draumr Double, yes! More elaborating answers can be found in our FAQ, here: amokequipment.eu/a/faq Team Amok
Now that you have this accomplished perhaps you could turn your attention to an Amok hot tent. Love my 5.0 XL but a hot tent for snow camping would be would be great, everything I look at has the vent jack in an inappropriate place for a Draumr and is oriented for traditional hammock often making it impossible to use with Amok products. I'm really trying not to scratch build one. Come on Jonas, do us right.
Hi there! 👋 Thank you for your suggestion! While we appreciate your interest in an Amok hot tent, at the moment, our focus remains on ensuring our current products continue to perform well for winter camping. While we understand the appeal of a hot tent for snow camping, we believe our current lineup offers robust solutions for cold weather adventures. However, we'll definitely keep your feedback in mind for future developments 🙌
@AmokEquipment Thanks for the reply. I agree that you have a robust solution for cold weather adventure, and I'm happy sleeping in my Draumr 5.0 in any weather. Still want a hot tent that I can fit my rig inside, lol. But hey, you do you, I bought in and am happy I did. I'll post up if I find a compatible rig.
One person exiting the hammock is no problem. The remaining person won’t slide down or risk falling out. They might shift slightly towards the outer side, akin to rolling over in bed, but it's still comfortable, even if they're on the edge. Whether this disturbs sleep depends on various factors like habits and depth of sleep. While it might cause a brief awakening, it shouldn't be overly uncomfortable. Comfort returns once the other person re-enters. Entering with someone already in the hammock might even feel easier than entering a regular one alone, thanks to the counterweight effect stabilizing it faster. Enter diagonally and hold onto the side panels. Stay tuned for more detailed videos on these topics!
It seems there might be some confusion here. Our hammocks have never been priced as low as $25 - $80. We do not sell through external retailers, and all Amok products are exclusively available through our official channels 😊 If you've seen such prices elsewhere, it's possible that they are from unauthorized sellers or scam websites. We take the authenticity and quality of our products seriously, and we urge our customers to purchase directly from us to ensure they receive genuine Amok products and the best customer experience.
