Hytale is an upcoming survival-adventure sandbox game from the creators of Hypixel; Minecraft's most popular server. Skywars, Skyblock and many more minigames have been made famous by the team, but how will they fair with their own game? "What To Expect From Hytale In 2023?"
Me: Nothing, nothing at all. Literally nothingness. Because if I expect nothing, every little thing will impress me.
I always forget that Hytale exists for like a month, then hear about it and get excited all over again. The thing is, I know practically nothing about the game. I remember watching the original trailer, and the stuff shown there is all I know about the game's mechanics and lore. Honestly, I don't think I do want to learn about the game's lore before release. It will probably be way more fun to discover it all by myself when I play the game for the first time. I remember how when I first started playing Terraria, I went into it completely blind, and it was an absolute blast. I only really watch hytale news videos to get an idea of how far along they are in development.

It is so cool to see people are still hanging on to this project. I am so excited for the next update.
I'm interested in this game because I think that Minecraft has not lived up to its potential. Compare terraria's development to Minecraft's, it's night and day. There's so many good ideas that modders have made for Minecraft that Mojang haven't even considered and instead they add a fox. It's depressing. Yes you can mod your game that's great but Minecraft needs a total reinvention to make those mod features feel natural and function properly.
Yeah we need a dev team in a survival game that finally works with the modding community rather than against them, it really cant get simpler.
I really hope we can make custom races for roleplay based servers, maybe even make custom character creation menus

Hytale has joined my list of games where I'm super excited for them but they're just gonna come out when they're good and ready. Currently it sits alongside the likes of silksong, in the distant ish future Terraria 2, and Elder scrolls 6. And some like metroid dread and totk have come out and as expected they're truly epic and have shaped what their genres will look like for year's to come. So to those anxiously waiting, chill it's going to come out when it happens to, buy it when it does, trust me there's no way you'll miss Hytales launch
if John Hendricks somehow sees this, my favorite automation system was Gambits in Final Fantasy 12 (PS2). Managing party AI/priorities or manually inputting their next queued action has never been approached since. It was a single player MMO, and as far as companions are concerned, some people aren't so fond of animals or being social, and might like to recruit some humanoid creatures to face off dangers with them in order to ease into an escapist comfort zone.
Can't wait to give my grandkids this game

My hype may have lowered but I really do hope this is a Minecraft "killer". Not the core game to be exact but I hope it looks pretty without custom shaders, better optimisations and better mod support then what Minecraft has given. I hope all of my favorite mods can be ported with ease and don't get killed by every little bug fix.
This has been the main reason I want this game to come out, mod support is a must have to have a big creative community and the freedom to have those little tweaks you like so much.
My fear is having this game free to play and then being blocked from mods and offline play. If this game does go free to play they better have a hytale+ or gold or prime or whatever they want to call it, just let me have mods and offline mode.
I can't wait to see if Create, enderIO, or Immersive Engineering ever show up to hytale. That would truly be awesome. But first I hope the game comes out before I die. I played alpha Minecraft, let me play your unfinished game Riot!😂

The game does look promising and something I’d love to put a lot of hours in, but if it’s a game that’s shown a lot but not clear when it’s releasing them it’s not going to be something I’ll stay updated on until it’s close to release. Let’s hope they can release a quality product
For a game that's supposed to be a platform for the community, it ain't really letting the community in.
it can be looked at that way I guess, but the alternative is they chose to give the community something much greater than originally thanks to the community giving much feedback and hype.

Think about it, everything they show just increases expectations and also can both make ppl happy and upset, it's best those features are reserved.
People don't even realize the RGB texture tints feature was shown 4 years ago, I bet they still don't.. it's not worths showing the same things over and over.
There's 40 blog posts to read over to get some ideas about the game, I don't see the reason of more until the game is coming.

Let's just take a moment to appreciate - whether Hytale ever sees the light of day or not - how spectacularly Minecraft dropped the ball. The things that grab most people about Hytale? Are features and details that easily could have been introduced to Minecraft.
Hell, just look at what No Man's Sky has been doing.
It's actually frustrating. When I bought into Minecraft back during its beta period, I thought "Wow, this has real promise. The sky's the limit!"
More than a decade on, and I find myself realising - not quite the sky, no. The hill's the limit, apparently. It's quite a nice hill, but it's not even a mountain.
Yeah the base game is a joke and they practically killed their own modding community, at least we have the silver lining of knowing what Not to do.
I honestly thought this game’s development had faded out. I opted into the beta around the time the reveal trailer was uploaded, and after a load of silence I just lost interest and moved on to other things.
Here’s hoping this game is worth the wait.

Following Hytale development over the years has been so weird. Like, it's a game I've known about and have been super excited for for so long, but it's also a game that's so weird to talk about with friends cause to them it's just another unreleased indie project that probably won't even see the light of day for the next few years. I don't blame them for not being excited or interested in the project, but it really makes me want the game to be released soon so I can actually share it with them.
I wouldn't call Hytale a Indie Project anymore lol
Wait. Are we going to HAVE to use the asset editor in order to embark on our adventure and see it propel for the wretched hands of the void? I am starting to ink my lings on to that very moonshot possibility where it is mentioned that players will create in response to the world building. is this a bad copout for voxel creations tied to a free to player world/campaign, or will you actually be building things to your liking, using the story campaign as a way to show the players the most simple edits of a complex creation in order to push them forward into a creative outburst once they have full creative control or desire over something?
Imagime the music instruments working based on where you are looking, like look straight down it would he the lowest pitch and looking straight up makes the highest pitch

Tbh, during these times i'm just waiting for the official release date or early alpha to play the game, i don't doubt the game will be as pollished as any ever, but i can't be hyped for so long.

My biggest concern is freedom. I played Minecraft exclusively on anarchy servers like 2b2t and Civcraft. IMO, the best part of these kinds of games is the freedom they allow you to have, and the EULA of autocrat basically destroyed all of its creative potential (cough, BUKKIT, cough). I hope that Hytale doesn't police itself into oblivion in the same way, everything else already looks so promising.
This game has so much potential so ill be patient
this game has come so far, back in 2019 i was kinda bummed that the game was getting delayed, but even just seeing this game growing and becoming better and better is honestly really cool
So the game is still just vapor ware :,( I hope they start doing more external texting or even a closed beta like battle bit did to build some more hype and get some feedback.

yeah when it releases after GTA 6 in 2030
it will flop sadly. The issue here being it will never meet the hype that it had generated back when the trailer first dropped. Aka the time it took wont match the quality of the product and people will try it and go "this is it? this is what we waited for?" And then move on to the better games like nightengale which will be out before then. They never should have redone the game just to make it multi platform. They took way too long. Its a giant meme at this point.
@@TalonWrenI honestly think otherwise, the hype that first went up after the trailer drop in 2018 has toned down because of the long developement time and how the team purposely tried to kill the hype, and it seems they've succeded, I still hyped for this game but it wasn't as the same as it in 2018-2019, I feel like a lot of us who waiting for this game felt the same way.

im curious how the drop system works... will it be always the same amount and items like minecraft? or will there be chance drops where theres a chance to get certain items?

Most games use a loottable system that determines drops and their numbers on the fly, with conditions such as randomness of drops and their dependancies on if they even drop anything is all up in the air rn
I know what you mean, but minecraft uses a chance drop/loottable system for lots of things.

kinda wish Hytale was a open world where everyone was in one universe or one server like eve online. It would of had great story telling and would immerse you even more into the game but its probably unlikely
I really would love to work for hytale. But i can barely code.
I hope with the instruments in this game you would be able to connect your synth (electric keyboard) if you have one and play in-game just like how you are able to connect your synth in Rust to play a instrument (mainly piano). I hope they add a piano to Hytale.

I hope it has stuff that Mojang refuses to add to Minecraft like vertical slabs, alligators, fireflies and all that. Because Mojang has the most idiotic excuses to why they won't add stuff. I know frogs can die if they eat fireflies but they made parrots if you give them a cookie.

Me and some my friends got 40$ saved for this game since 2021 we do wish it was on console and crossplay but we're building our own pcs and modifying laptops just for this game we are hyped

@@TalonWren Ok dude, just stop already. You don't know Jack sticks about game hype and development and there certainly won't be better games releasing before hytale does. Realistically Nightingale is not going to outcompete Hytale given that the games are so different and that Hytale is backed by RIOT games.
I swear to everything that i believe in that when this game drops im gonna be a magician that slings fireballs, magical spells and taking it really slow since i have the tendency to really rush a game at launch (i have no idea why i do this and see it as a toxic trait for myself)
