What happens to the departments who do not input the information or "do a fellow officer a favor" or does not do a backgroundcheck? ANY bill must have something to put a stop to this and makes those involved think twice about playing the system. To do this stiff punishment and mandatory sentences must be part of the bill. If not then this is just "I want your vote" move by politicians.

a few things that need to be done at the federal level. DOJ are you listening?
      BLUE LIES MAFIA POLICY

ONLY if laws, policy, civil rights, and/ or rules have NOT been violated, then they will be eligible for back pay.
IF ANY laws, policy, civil rights, and/ or rules have been violated, then NO back pay/ administrative leave pay.
      PENDING INVESTIGATIONS:
if an officer is being investigated for _______. the investigation whether pending, started or ended will be considered "OPEN" if they quit before any discipline is handed out. also they will NOT be able to move on to the next agency over or receive retirement funds and any other benefits until pending case is resolved.
Any officer under investigation....The investigation should still be completed and any valid charges still processed.
      BODY CAMS:
ALL law enforcement police, FBI, DEA, CBP, ICE and any other law enforcement agency shall have and use body cams.
body cams will be turned on prior to an incident or as soon as possible and are to NOT be turned off, muted or paused until after the conclusion of the incidence.

      LOCALE DAs/ POLICE:

It's dumb! More useless red tape for an already broken system. The law should simply implement personal liability policies for every officer, where the premiums increase with every disciplinary mark...Have depts pay the initial premium, and the officer pay any increase. When an officer becomes a liability, they cant get a job...Simple! All this current "proposal" does is add more loopholes to the already corrupt system..."We're sorry, you/we cant afford to insure you..."

This is no offense to the children who lost their lives, or the family members who have to deal with the pain every day in Uvalde, Texas… but some thing that gets overlooked about Uvalde needs to be addressed here .. how did the officer in the Uvalde situation get a dishonorable discharge… Because the Supreme Court has clearly ruled, and this is why parents cannot sue… Police officers, have no duty or obligation to protect or put their lives on the line for anyone. i’m assuming this is why he actually got to be rehired… He didn’t break any laws, he just didn’t meet the expectations of the public which now I hope people are learning was just an expectation and not an actual requirement… Or did this officer get dismissed from the department for another reason they haven’t disclosed? it’s for a a deprivation of rights then I can stop calling him an officer and call him a pig… Does this have to do with the incident at the school or a separate issue on why he was relieved of his duties? Anyone have any answers? I think it’s obvious why Uvalde representatives did not show up at the hearing, because they knew they could not get the officer discredited, they just did it for optics for the public. there was nothing unlawful with the officer did, there was no legal misconduct whatsoever. there are much better examples of officers in many of these deprivation of rights lawsuit videos that we are witnessing, this is just not the example that should’ve been included.

A few years back they were saying the same thing about toxic nurses. They'd be fired from one hospital and merely hop over to another. I would guess that staffing shortages are to blame in many of these cases with both nurses and cops are in short supply. That means if you are hiring, you have a vested interest in not looking too closely at the resume.

Hmmm. Those two "pipelines." as you call them. do not resonate with me. In my experience, compassionate people are the ones who gravitate to nursing, and bullies are the ones who end up in jail, not the ones who put them there. Mean nurses and bully-cops are the exception, not the rule--constituting pipeline. But then, I'm an old man and maybe out of touch. At least, that's what our youth-obsessed culture indicates. @@Tortilla.Reform

So, how many days after the cop is fired for violating someone's Constitutional rights are they considered for the FBI and ATF?
I have it on good authority that the way cops audition for Federal Police Jobs like the ATF is to commit blatant acts of criminality under the color of authority, maybe unalive someone's dog or spouse (un-aliving an unarmed innocent elderly person while they're in bed sleeping gets the best score with FBI & ATF), make sure it's on body cam and then make sure you admit no wrongdoing all the way to the end then smile for the cameras in court while the spouse of the person you deleted cries.
Then and only then are you fit for Federal Service or work with the IDF, MOSSAD, CIA, FBI, ATF, IRS etc... 🤡👍😮

One of the problems this story missed is small departments find "wandering officers" appealing because they can hire them and DONT have to pay to send them to POST (Police officer standards and training)... it all about the money!! and you have bad officers just going from department to department terrorizing the population.
I believe the solution is to de -certify the officers for a discharge below general( The unions would scream bloody murder) and if they want to be cops they have to go to post again. So I'm not saying they can't be cops they just need to go to training again. This would stop small departments from hiring them JUST because there certified.

If higher ups aren't following law then why would the cops? It's systemic and must start at the top, the boss man(abbot), oh wait! He's a criminal too! Well hell!
