No one asked but in latin america they translated that to: "cuidate Wazowski, cuiiidaditooo" which would mean something like "be careful Wazowski, veeryyy careful" It's hilarious.

aghostshell I'm so glad my parents and grandparents never felt this way. I think it's cause of that (and rewatching these movies a lot) that I have such a strong appreciation for animated films and kid shows.

5:24 Nitpicking the nitpicks here, but you actually see a monster take the picture seen in the newspaper during the sushi restaurant scene. He's taking a picture of a couple when Boo suddenly pops up and scares the hell out of him, causing him to throw the camera just as the picture was being taken.

+Luckylikeit A time zone map is clearly visible in the Scare Floor scene, and in the prequel, we see that there are, indeed, night-shift workers. I honestly thought they handled time zones remarkably well. Except for the fact Hawaii and Paris are enjoying daylight while Tokyo, Florida and Nepal are experiencing night. There's at least one error in there somewhere.
The reason that boo was afraid of Randal and not sully, is cause the kids are matched to their monsters based on their personalities. Big hairy monsters that roar don’t make her scream, they make her cry. while something invisible and suddenly popping out at her is prob more unpredictable and will keep her on edge to make her scream.
Andrew Weinstein they meant during the scene in sully's apartment. The lights started flickering like mad when Boo was crying after getting the stuffed bear taken away, to the point the CDA took notice.
sjbrooksy45 ah,but if you remember after boo start crying Mike start yelling to sully to give her the teddymonster (?) fall, roll, put himself somehow in the trashcan, the cd's dropped in to his mouth and then the bolling ball fell to his head. And then boo start laughing pretty hard. XD
In the scene where Boo's laughter powers up every door, does that mean a random kid opening their closet door can get to the monster world? "I'm just gonna go get my jacket and - what the hell is this shit?"
Julius KIm the doors can only be opened from the monster world to the human world, once open they can be passed through until the power runs out or the door closes, from what I understands. However I assume if the door or frame is damaged it would close or cause an interdimensional tear, after seeing some of the safety hazards, most likely the latter..
Coding Ethan But then how do Mike and Sulley manage to go back to the factory through the doors? It means that, as long as the door is activated, you can use it as a portal in both directions.
4:20 They literally state in the beginning of the movie that monsters are given kids that they're most compatible with. Meaning kids that have specific fears that the monster is equipped to capitalize on. It's not illogical that Boo is afraid of lizards but fine with big furry animals.
Her crying was acting as scream, which was making the power flicker, but then when Mike's fall made her laugh, the power of it lit up everything in every apartment in that building and all surrounding buildings so much that it blew the power to all those buildings. So yes, it was her laughter that caused the blackout, not her crying. -2 Sins please. Sin total: 106
I'm pretty sure that would result in -1 Sin, because that in itself, is a single thing, not two things. But that's still bullshit that laughs turn the power on, and the parents probably think the kids are fucking insane to be laughing at nothing in the night.
@@thomasfernandez6580 Nah it'd be -2. The video gave 2 sins based on not noticing that it was Boo's laughter that caused the blackout, so they both need taking off.
1. They all go to sleep at the same time because they divide the work in time zones. See the map in the background 2. Maybe they're sleeping somewhere else and some rooms are empty, but what would be the point of showing that in the movie?
Not to mention, Randall is probably dead after being hit with the shovel. You're not gonna let a live gator just leave your house, and maybe they eat gator. Dark ending if you think about it.
***** Apparently he did survive, went back to the monster world, was sent to prison, escaped along with Waternoose, with the help of Sid (from Toy Story), and went back into prison.
That very last sin just shows that this movie could really use a SEQUEL in addition to a prequel. It would be interesting to see how Sully's relationship with Boo progresses over the years and how long it can ultimately last.
The only thing I didn't understand when I first watched this movie that makes no point was the part why Randall told Mike that he had until 12:30 to put Boo back where she belongs right before the door is said to be placed in the door shredder at 12:30. The current time at that part was 11:55 by the time they had their little discussion. After they return back to the station, Randall said it specifically clear as quote, "When the big hand points up, and the little hand is pointing up, the door will be in my station." which should've been the exact time both Mike and Sullivan appeared at the station right where the door is said to be. The clock that was shown in that scene after Mike said, "Just like Randall said", the time on the clock is now set to 12:30, which is set for the door to be gone. 12:00 was not the set time for the door to be shredded. 12 is the time it is said to appear. I think this movie should've done a better job keeping up with the time Boo's door is set to be gone. My question is, regarding about the set time Boo's door is set to be gone, why the heck would the current time be set to 12:30 by the time both Mike and Sullivan appeared at the Station where the door is said to be, when 12:00 should actually be the time the door appears, and by 12:30, the door is said to be gone? That makes no sense.
In all seriousness, that is the main reason why Boo from Monsters' Inc has at least a singular amount of strong points. In fact, Monsters' Inc is loaded with strong points like most other Pixar films and Pixar itself.
And the monsters come in many different sizes, so it would make sense for the cups to be the same way. Remember Monsters University? That one monster was taller than the buildings.
sin for mike saying 'you've been jealous of my looks since the fourth grade' when apparently they didn't meet until college, bet that slipped under Disney-Pixar's noses
Imagine that, A movie from Boo's parent's perspective? Their kid disappears after crying about Monster's in her closet, parent's see/hear movements from an invisible Randall causing them to think there's a ghost in the house. Boo's parents are accused of being crazy/ responsible for her disappearance until Boo comes back home. Their parents read her a bedtime story thanking God she returned when the closet door slowly opens and Sully steps through. When Boo acknowledges him, their parents look up to see him standing in the dark room only lit by the nightlight. Credits.
Oh crap. You just made me think of Monsters Inc. meets Paranormal Activity meets Poltergeist. A bunch of cameras set up, Boo magically floating toward her closet door, the disappearance into the closet, her brother talking about the scary tree monster that used to come into his room late at night to try to eat him. The house was abandoned when they returned Boo because all the family members were either sitting downstairs around the "hot zone" waiting for Boo to talk to them over the television or they were all chucked in the looney bin.
Haha Yeah 🤣🤣 But Amy didn't have a monster as friend, but a doctor, so a beeing that looked like a normal human. Everyone just thought it's her imaginary friend. But it's worse if someone is insisting in having a monster as a friend...
It wasn't Boo's crying that caused the blackout in Sully's apartment, it was when she laughed after Mike fell in the trashcan and the books fell in his mouth. He didn't pay close enough attention to the movie and some of these sins were not deserved.
Now that I think about it, why can’t they just record a child screaming and use that instead of tormenting a bunch of children! *ding* 9:35 Considering that after this every door in that place is now activated, there’s a very high chance that some kid is going to open their closet door to change and then fall to their death. *ding*
Recordings use electricity, and it may have to be an authentic scream from vocal cords - not from a speaker. On the other hand... you make an interesting point about the closets. In fact, this raises another question: what happens to the children who leave their closet doors open all night?
Sorry, but her crying did NOT cause the blackout. That same scene, Mike is hurt, which causes her to laugh, and cause the blackout. Sulley says "What was that?" And Mikey says he has no idea, but that it shouldn't happen again. Sinning the sinner here. Sorry.
I'm pretty sure the laughing is what caused the blackout the first time, wasn't it? She started crying, Mike fell into a bin, she started laughing then that blew out all the lights. That means 2 sins off I reckon at 6:12 and 9:45
STER Gaming Finally!!! I came into the comments hoping someone would point this out!! He sinned it twice for the her 'crying causes the blackout' nonsense :L
Elsie Not Giving You My Last Name No. The power went a bit wonky when she was crying, (while also screaming), but it fully went out when she started laughing at Mike
The power went out because of her laugh, not her crying. Her crying only caused lights to flicker, not to out. Cinemasins should have looked that scene and know that laughter is much more powerful than screams of crying. The reason why the lights in the factory didn't go out is because she wasn't laughing out loudly, so her laughing out loudly can cause power outages.
Wolf_king_dan || ウルフが支配的になります。He misspoke, he was thinking that Captain Pickle was saying that he thought that this had been done already, when he actually meant that he was suprised that this hadn't been done already. Would still need the dry toilet paper on the ground that wasn't in any of the shots for that to happen. I know, you and 33 others have a hard time putting those things together even after Jeremy explained their impossibly.
you don’t think between the stall (where the scene ends) and walking out of the bathroom, through the locker room and to the scare floor there might’ve been tp to step on? Put that together 😇
What I don't understand is why sully is known to everyone as the most scary monster and is employee of the month every month when he isn't actually that scary! I mean look at him! He's a big blue fluffy animal with purple spots and tiny horns! I know if sully ever came out of my closet when I was a kid I wouldn't scream I would most likely hug him.....
+Alex-Zander Browne It's also pretty damn frightening when a giant hairy beast comes out of your closet and roars like a superlion at you in the dead of night.
6:13 The first time Boo cried, she just overcharged the lights in Mike and Sulley's apartment slightly, but only when she laughed after Mike got hurt did the power go out. DING.
I don't understand why they need human children's scream? And if the insulation gets wear and test the resident have to hear the human kids scream the entire time until the fix it. Id rather get electrocuted.
What if - by chance - the child or even its parent happened to be in the closet at the time the door was activated? Would they just implode or end up in purgatory or something?
WeAreTheInsurgents I think that, when the doors are turned on, the front of the doors in the monster world opens into the room in the human world, and the backside leads into the closet. Another question revolves around what happens when doors are activated when at least one side has the door opened.
He blinks, its not about the number of eyes. Cars in cars would have car insurance in place of life insurance because there are no humans. Goofy is essentially a pet that learned to talk and function and is perfectly aware his best friend owns someone like him. Disney worker answers
Sam Spain I always find the sin videos for good movies are the best because Jeremy instead of going in like, "Let's get this over with," then finding obvious sins, goes into the movie trying to find things no one else has ever noticed and they're hilarious catches.
“Why are recorded screams not making energy” is basically the same as “why can’t this sun lamp power a solar panel” : it can’t produce more energy than it consumes (also yeah, crying, laughing, AND screams produce the energy. Why would only one or two child shrieks produce energy? It’s ALL child shrieks)
Here's a list of my favorite quotes in this film: 1."Once you name it, you start getting attached to it! Now put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!" 2."You've been jealous of my good looks since the fourth grade, pal." 3."Boo?! What about us?! Ever since that kid came along, you've ignored everything I said! And now look where we are! Oh, we were about to break the record, Sully! We would have had it made!" 4."Well, I don't know know about the rest of you guys, but I, spotted several big mistakes." 5."2319! We got a 2319!" 6."I'll start off with the old Waternoose- jump-and-growl." (Roars) 7. "It's pronounced, "cretin." First of all, if you're gonna threaten me, do it properly. Second of all, you're nuts if you think kidnapping me is gonna help you cheat your way to the top!" 8."You see that clock? The big hand is pointing up, and the little hand is pointing up, which means the door will be at my Station. But when the big hand points down, the door will be gone. You have until then to bring the kid back. Get the picture?" 9."That's it. I'm all out of ideas. We're closed. Hot air balloon? Too expensive. Giant slingshot? Too inconspicuous. Enormous wooden horse? Too Greek!" 10."How could I do this? How could I be so stupid? This will destroy the company." "The company? Who cares about the company? What about us? That thing, is a killing machine!"
My mom could have done this with me, I have a birthday very near Halloween, and had dark brown hair. The one problem was that as a kid, Monsters inc. scared me, because I had (and still have) a large closet, so after watching the movie I was scared that a monster would get me.
Lollipopsuger Hahaha I know that feeling. When I was a kid I was afraid to go to the beach or to the public pool because I was afraid Bruce from Finding Nemo was going to eat me. I still can't swim to this day due to my irrational childhood fear lmao
MrBWhite88 The point they're trying to make is that the first time the power went bonkers in their apartment was when Boo was crying and screaming because the bear got taken away from her.
Lynne the Trendy Tetraodontiforme Nooo, when she's crying in the apartment, the lights are flickering, but it's when Mike ends up in the garbage can that she laughs hysterically and all the lights burst. It's absolutely her laughing that causes the initial blackout; the crying only causes flickering.
Dude, the toilet paper stuck to his foot cause his foot slipped in the toilet, boo made the 'ew' noise in response, and so he was drying his foot off. Probably left a few scraps on the floor in the process. There ya go, take that sin away.
Well it is actually based on the Disney land attraction to show cool futuristic stuff and they based the movie on that like they did pirates of the Caribbean.
Yeah I don't think it was an easter egg for another movie but just a poster for the ride. It looks very "retro futuristic" not "modern futuristic". Keep in mind this is a kid's room, and he probably visited Disney World and loved that ride
because the laugh is ten times more powerful so the surge in power caused a short circuit due to too much current flowing through the bulb. Then again neither this movie nor the sequel explain what part of or how a kid's scream/laugh can be converted into electricity so it's all vague
Nope, they just get different jobs. Before it was the silly monsters doing paperwork and the scary ones scaring, but at the end the silly monsters do comedy routines and, presumably, the scary monsters are doing the paperwork.
@@awesomecat42 a bit late but iirc some scarers did still do comedy routines instead of getting a different job. Like the Dentures guy, George, and Claws. To give 3 examples.
It depends, I guess. Back when they scared kids, they made sure the monster being sent in would be someone the kid would be scared of (explaining why Boo is scared of Randall, but not the other monsters), so they must do similar research to make sure the monsters they send in will be seen as funny rather than scary by the kids.
Nick94956 Because, as demonstrated in the scene where they get exiled, the doors are just normal doors until otherwise powered up (so only when a scarer is using it)

Andrew Weinstein they meant during the scene in sully's apartment. The lights started flickering like mad when Boo was crying after getting the stuffed bear taken away, to the point the CDA took notice.

Hei Jussi
Krebons1200 yes but in the apartment scene they try to calm her down, Mike gets hurt, the kid laughs and it blows all the lights in the building.
sjbrooksy45 ah,but if you remember after boo start crying Mike start yelling to sully to give her the teddymonster (?) fall, roll, put himself somehow in the trashcan, the cd's dropped in to his mouth and then the bolling ball fell to his head. And then boo start laughing pretty hard. XD

In the scene where Boo's laughter powers up every door, does that mean a random kid opening their closet door can get to the monster world? "I'm just gonna go get my jacket and - what the hell is this shit?"
Julius KIm I had not thought about that one.
I believe that is only possible when the door is activated
Caleb Fitz And in this scene, every door is activated (otherwise they would not be able to go in and out the human world with random doors
I don't care what you say, this movie was my childhood
Calm down, no one said it wasn't

He's not dissing the movie, it's just a fun rant
Her crying was acting as scream, which was making the power flicker, but then when Mike's fall made her laugh, the power of it lit up everything in every apartment in that building and all surrounding buildings so much that it blew the power to all those buildings. So yes, it was her laughter that caused the blackout, not her crying. -2 Sins please. Sin total: 106
Haha very thorough I actually appreciate this
I'm pretty sure that would result in -1 Sin, because that in itself, is a single thing, not two things. But that's still bullshit that laughs turn the power on, and the parents probably think the kids are fucking insane to be laughing at nothing in the night.
Also this is a Cinema Sins video, not a real review.
@@thomasfernandez6580 Nah it'd be -2. The video gave 2 sins based on not noticing that it was Boo's laughter that caused the blackout, so they both need taking off.
@@thomasfernandez6580 But he continued to refer to it as evidence to sin other parts of the movie so it's -2
Even without seeing the whole movie, seeing the scene when Sulley is reunited with Boo always gets me
Same here, It's one of my favorite Pixar moments
Can't help it, I tear up a little every damn time.

Another thing is, how the hell does an ELECTRICITY COMPANY have the right to exile people (well, monsters)?

HOW THE HELL DID AN ELECTRICITY COMPANY SHARE A LOGO AND FUCKING ALUMNI WITH A COLLEGE UNIVERSITY!
Another sin why do all kids go to bed at the same time?and no one is sleeping at their parent or friends?
true
Well in the one scare Sully comes out loading up multiple canisters and says "Slumber party"..so.......lol
1. They all go to sleep at the same time because they divide the work in time zones. See the map in the background
+Not Tuska thats in the comic's
it's not confirmed
but it would be cool to see that in the 3rd one and they seek revenge on Sullivan
*****
Ah. I see.
+Not Tuska It states somewhere that hes killed
+Jerica Griffin Anyone have a list of films where Steve Buscemi dies? Can't think of any right now
That very last sin just shows that this movie could really use a SEQUEL in addition to a prequel.
That makes no sense.
you missed the fact that boo could easily have pulled her arms out of Randal's cuffs
I know right?
In all seriousness, that is the main reason why Boo from Monsters' Inc has at least a singular amount of strong points. In fact, Monsters' Inc is loaded with strong points like most other Pixar films and Pixar itself.
Mike fell into the toilet and used the toilet paper to clean himself up. One sin removed.
And the monsters come in many different sizes, so it would make sense for the cups to be the same way. Remember Monsters University? That one monster was taller than the buildings.
Don''t use Monsters U as a reference to a video older than the film. You're right but, still.
Nathaniel Rincon I wouldn't have said it if they didn't have the video.
Monster Hanna Ok.
sin for mike saying 'you've been jealous of my looks since the fourth grade' when apparently they didn't meet until college, bet that slipped under Disney-Pixar's noses
10/10 would watch. sounds like a great thriller.
There's a theory that Boo is a Super and he power is teleporting.
“Does Boo go crazy trying to tell people she has a monster?” *cough* Amy Pond
Yeees😂😅👏!
Haha Yeah 🤣🤣
But Amy didn't have a monster as friend, but a doctor, so a beeing that looked like a normal human. Everyone just thought it's her imaginary friend.
But it's worse if someone is insisting in having a monster as a friend...
(TARDIS noises intensify.)
It wasn't Boo's crying that caused the blackout in Sully's apartment, it was when she laughed after Mike fell in the trashcan and the books fell in his mouth. He didn't pay close enough attention to the movie and some of these sins were not deserved.
But his thing is being an ass! It's funny, because he's bitter!

Michael Lantz You need to go and relive your whole entire childhood right...about...NOW!!!
Gabe Lothspeich I get the feeling this movie is important to you
Now that I think about it, why can’t they just record a child screaming and use that instead of tormenting a bunch of children! *ding*
9:35 Considering that after this every door in that place is now activated, there’s a very high chance that some kid is going to open their closet door to change and then fall to their death. *ding*
Recordings use electricity, and it may have to be an authentic scream from vocal cords - not from a speaker.
On the other hand... you make an interesting point about the closets. In fact, this raises another question: what happens to the children who leave their closet doors open all night?
@Delita Heiral @SuperCarlinBrothers, get a move on these things!

I didn't notice until I saw this.
Sorry, but her crying did NOT cause the blackout. That same scene, Mike is hurt, which causes her to laugh, and cause the blackout.
Sulley says "What was that?" And Mikey says he has no idea, but that it shouldn't happen again.
Sinning the sinner here. Sorry.
......... *Ding noise effect*
Travis Linton I was hoping someone else noticed that.
This is why, Kyle. It's cause of your attitude.
Travis Linton Damn i was gonna point that out. Should of figured someone would have already.
An overload of power can easily cause a blackout. Perhaps even faster than a lack of one.
I'm pretty sure the laughing is what caused the blackout the first time, wasn't it? She started crying, Mike fell into a bin, she started laughing then that blew out all the lights. That means 2 sins off I reckon at 6:12 and 9:45
You are not wrong
Exactly what I thought! Sorry, Jeremy, but not paying attention to a movie's plot points does not give you an excuse to point out inaccuracies.
+Herminbean I'm glad someone else noticed that slip up, too
+tandnmom100 He is also mocking that Randall is taking the fake(!) scream tubes to Boo's door.
+Herminbean THANK YOU

Ah! But Jeremy, at 6:13 Boo actually did laugh which blew all of the lights in the building prior to that scene.

STER Gaming If they let intern Kyle write sins with them, he would have caught it.
M David Walker Hahaha, true.
STER Gaming also they sinned the picture in the newspaper, but it can be seen when the camera flashes "accidentally" in the restaurant rampage.
....Did he miss the whole thing about Boo's laughter destroying their apartment's power?
I thought it was her hysterical crying that did that?
Elsie Not Giving You My Last Name No. The power went a bit wonky when she was crying, (while also screaming), but it fully went out when she started laughing at Mike
Mr King Dice The power overloaded. When you run excess voltage and current through a lighting filament it just fails and melts.
Anonymous Anonymous actually no he keeps saying it was her crying, he mentions nothing bout the laughing

With that in mind WassabiPie:P's statement becomes self evident, as a reply to the statement "I thought this had been done already." as opposed to the question, "This hasn't been done yet?"
4:50 mike accidentally fell in the toilet when they were hiding from Randall. His feet probably got wet thus leading to tp sticking to his foot.
If a monster came in my room and started to do stand up I'd be like "fuck yea!"
I wouldn't scream in fear, I'd just yell:
"WHERE'S JOHN GOODMAN?!"
In the movie is stated that they pair each child up with a monster that's most likely to scare them. Chances are that you wouldn't get Sully.

WeAreTheInsurgents I am assuming the door would get stuck
WeAreTheInsurgents I image activating the door was just open the portal and cause them to pass through it.
WeAreTheInsurgents I think that, when the doors are turned on, the front of the doors in the monster world opens into the room in the human world, and the backside leads into the closet. Another question revolves around what happens when doors are activated when at least one side has the door opened.

Don't these guys know that Boo laughing caused the initial blackout?
MrBWhite88 The point they're trying to make is that the first time the power went bonkers in their apartment was when Boo was crying and screaming because the bear got taken away from her.
MrBWhite88 Exactly.

Which one?
Yeah, I know you mean the first, but there are how many movies? Where should he stop at?
if Monsters Inc. converted to laughter, does that mean scary monsters are being left out of a job?
And now there’s a show that confirms this.

Sitara True Pity screams
6:08 When you swing too far in your chair and realise you hit the point of no return
Personally I would be a lot more scared of Randall than Sully...

thepanestofcake “NOW PUT THAT GODDAMN THING BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM, OR SO HELP ME....”
7:42 always made me cry as a kid and somehow still does
Monsters Inc. was my favorite movie as a child, and surprisingly enough, watching CinemaSins do videos on movies from my childhood is actually quite entertaining and makes me remember the good times. Also I noticed a few of these things when I was 6, but I kinda brushed them off.
It's just a movie it can have its own rules
i thought you were gonna point out how mikey can survive that snowstorm when sully who is covered in fur has a hard time, and dont tell me its those gloves on his horns, its like going with nothing but a scarf on a snow day
I thought they were going to point out that Mikey's horns aren't even big enough to support those gloves...even if they're a bit frozen.
Also where the F**K did Mike get those gloves anyway?! Don't give me that the Abdominal Snowman gave him some bulls**t
Taking your life into your own hands with this one guys! ;)

Alltime Conspiracies They are the ones that they will blame
They are the ones who understand
What are we gonna do,
While we still got the strength to move?
What are we gonna do?
I'm asking, I'm asking you
A call to arms, a call to use arms
Call to brains, you gotta use some brains
Call to heart, you gotta have a heart
To have a Sense of Purpose again
BorisTheCapricorn umm... what
Although her crying did affect the lights for some reason it was ultimately her laughing at Mike's pain that caused the power outage.
I've never seen Monsters University but the trailer implies they met in university. However I noticed in Monsters inc when they are walking through town (the part with the car with teeth) Mike says to Sulley " You've been jealous of my looks since the 4th grade". Or something to that effect
Ok, HOW THE F*CK DO YOU NOTICE A 1cm x 1cm WORD SPELLED WRONG OUT OF 20 WORDS SPELLED RIGHT??? NO ONE CAN PAY THAT MUCH OF ATTENTION
Kyle C. this is the attitude he was talking about Kyle
I'm not pissed I'm just overly impressed. Like how?
Kyle this is what he meant by 'attitude'.
It's because of your attitude, Kyle.
Pardon me but I'm still very confused as to what you are talking about.
6:16 She was crying because Mike took the bear, but then Mike made her laugh by getting stuck in the garbage, and THEN the lights went out... When Boo was crying the lights only flickered...
10:20 It's amazing in this Giant Place, anything Sulley is looking for can be found within Seconds.
