But seriously, why do people think Mike isn't scary, imagine seeing a green head with one large eye staring right at you at the middle of the night?
WITH TEETH
Ok that would be REALLY creepy.
IVE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT LIKE THAT
I mean, he is pretty scary, but we should really be talking about Squishys method of scaring here. I'd be more scared of anything standing right next to my bed while I'm sleeping, just staring into my soul
Can Of Pizza Sauce ikr I would’ve fucking shit my pants and scream so much I would die
Wasn't there a giant in the first monster Inc, at the traffic lights

I don't think Mike is scary, but that is probably because it is animated. If he actually looked like a giant eyeball with legs, then I'm pretty sure anyone would freak out.

Why is Mike singled out for not being scary when most of the monsters aren't scary lol
From Hardscrabbles point of view, he isn't. Also, he and Sulley destroyed the can that contained the all time scare record, so this would mean she had a grudge against Mike after that.
cos of something called the plot
Lol she is literally the only scary monster on the entire film. Because, you know. Centipedes.
@@caseypitt1296 She never had a grudge against him, they made that very clear. She took/respected his bet and never tried to undermine it. And she honored it when they all thought that he had won. There is actually a HUGE, HUGE sin that was missed. In Monsters University when Mike and Sulley meet, they introduce each other like they’re just meeting for the first time.
In Monsters Inc. when Mike and Sulley are walking to work, Mike says to Sulley, “You’ve been jealous of me since the 4th grade.” Or something like that, something about grade school. HUGE continuity error in both movies.
Originally the director of Monster University was going to acknowledge that in a scene where Mike & Sulley meet in the fourth grade but he was told not to restrict himself (at least that’s how I recall).
I'm pretty sure that was just a dubbing/continuity error because in the Brazilian dub Sully says "I'm jealous of you ever since the first day of class", not since the 4th grade, which makes more sense
OOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRR think for a moment... Mike is exaggerating that he always been better looking than sully and just used a past time to again boast he was always better looking EXAGGERATION
someone said a headcanon answer is 4th grade IS university.
Yall take this stuff too seriously, is this seriously a huge deal to you 💀

Soo, like in the original Mike said to Sully “you’ve been jealous of me since the fourth grade” as they were walking to work. So the movie shouldn’t have gone with them meeting in college. Idk how many sins that should be.
Truth be told they originally made that scene, but as they went on, it never really fitted in with the movie as it went from those 2 having a fight and pranking eachother in photo day to sulley even missing him the day mike moves out, so the directors just said it was a joke even though they thought that quote in the OG was too important to ignore
It could be, the world may never know!
Maybe the round blue fur ball from the start of this movie was him and sully told him that after they became room mates bc when sully was the blue fur ball they look very different
Pixar can do whatever they want, it is their art, aftet all. Also that line was written as a hyperbole and should be considered as such. The amount of people that take it seriously is honestly quite concerning.
@@multiplefandomlover7179 I just thought it be a funny thing to point out. Since it’s all just satire in the video!!

“I know this is a universe filled with monsters, but this is the only giant we’ve seen in both the films Pixar has made about the monster world”
Me: “TED! GOOD MORNING!!!” ‘BAWK BAWK’
Also the giant in the football scene.
See? Ted’s walkin’ to work.
Big deal! Ted takes five steps and he’s there
Don't forget the scary old librarian
Honestly though that ending scene where Mike and Sully go to the human world has never failed to make me feel like I’m in a fever dream. it’s so disturbing
1. "Sullivan" is a popular last name. -- Well, HERE it is. Doesn't mean it's popular in the monster world.
2. Scaring adults is more effective. -- But it would fail magnificently in a short time, because adults will believe other adults about seeing a monster come out of their closets, and people would band together and kill the monsters as they came out of the closet door. People don't believe children, and some children are so young, they're not capable of relaying the information.
This is one of the few actually intelligent comments I've seen ever on this website. Good job!!
Blackhawk4
Hahaha! Thank you. Although, I must concede that the intelligence my logical counter-arguments demonstrate is probably negated by the idiocy required of me in taking time and making a concerted effort to develop said counter-arguments in response to a comedy video on RUclips. :D
SJActress nah, you're good! I don't think noticing something incorrect and thus pointing it out is a form of idiocy. Again though, very nice comments!
Blackhawk4 You do not read many comments, do you?
3. Monster differences are races not species which is why Mike and Celia date, but it's true I don't know how meat works there.
4.There was another giant moster. "Greg" the Godzilla-chicken monster who walked to work with Mike and Sully
5. Randall hid in he lamp and not just camoflauged because he had to hide his jacket as well.
6.(umbrella point) the college years were obviously in an equivalent human world "80s" which also means Mike's elementary school days were in an equivalant "60's" or "70's". We all know all 3 of those decades were MUCH laxer with safety, rules, etc than they are today.
7. (Minor point) The monster with the MU sticker was a female from the sorority EEK
8. Whether or not they have Ladybugs or silverback gorillas in the monster world is irrelavent. Monsters go into the human world all the time and at the absolute least, they have seen pictures/storybooks/plushes/etc of both in a child's room. When whoever researches children(as someone must be doing to relay what scares which particular child best) investigates these things I garauntee there are children who are terrified of one or both.
I always thought Mike looked a lot “scarier” than Sully. Sully just looks like a big colorful teddy bear meanwhile Mike is some one eyed scaly green demon ball with teeth scurrying around your dark room
*some one eyed scaly green demon ball with teeth scurrying around your dark room*
I LOVE THAT SO MUCH
now i'm scared
Mike is a green cacodemon with legs confirmed
But what’s more scary? Mike on the mic or the mic IN Mike?
1. Mike is not scaly 2. A seven foot tall humanoid bear looking (albeit blue) thing on two legs screams at you and you think an eye and a jaw in a flesh ball is scarier?
This movie came out when I had just graduated high school, and I appreciated having the message "college is pointless".
The biggest sin is the fact that they say Mike and Sullivan met in Monsters University/School of Scaring yet they've talked about Mike passing notes to susie boils (however the fuck you say her name) while Sullivan and the rest of the class were studying Geography.
They teach geography in college too dumbass
Yep but passing notes to girls is something kiddies do in school, not young adults in college. Also, you’d have to choose Geography to study at University level and clearly Mike & Sulley did not… and can we also agree that Sulley (portrayed as lazy af and winging University on his dad’s rep) would never sit there concentrating on Geography whilst Mike (who was a dedicated A* nerd in this film) spent time passing notes to a girl we never saw in this movie anyway.
To be fair, Mike and Sully could’ve still been classmates and not have known each other. My parents both went to the same high school and even shared some of the same friends, but they didn’t properly meet until college.
@@annonimowse9929Your first sentence doesn't contradict the comment, it agrees with it. I'm confused why you tried to use that as a point to explain away the problem it presented.
Are we not going to discuss when Mike cracks his "neck"
His neck IS his crack. ..
@@cameronbarboza3992 no, a head has more features. He is a ball of snot with eyes, a mouth and legs.
Yeah, like how hard it must be for doctors in this world, since this implies that any monster of any size and shape has a skeletal structure, which for literally every monster would be radically different.

3:40 That's actually blowed my mind as a kid.
5:09 In my country (and several others) they changed the cupcakes. The cupcakes have smiley faces on them, and they become sad faces when Randy got them in his face.
12:00 Unfair? I don't know, if I don't remember correctly, but aren't every monster allowed to use their natural abilities?
14:30 Maybe, but adults also have more power and authority. I don't think the kids will do anything, but maybe they are afraid, grown adults will try to hunt and overpower them. Terrified, they would not be safe. Of course, I know the real reason is: because it is a prequel and can't have this, because the original movie would not make much sense, but I am trying to find an explanation.
15:50 I love this reference, it's perfect!
On the adult scaring thing, a lot of adults probably just dismiss their kid seeing a monster anyway, so them only scaring kids makes even more sense
He forgot the part when chet scares the kid in the simulator: he left the door open.
In the first movie, Monster Inc., Mike and Sully mentioned how they knew each other already in 4th grade but in Monster University they meet in college.

+Christine Azurin The director actually did remember that and was trying to work around it but John Lassiter just told him to ignore it. So yeah, we can totally blame John for this plot hole.
how to scare a teen 101:
- sneak into teen room
- creep towards bed
- wake them up
- tell them "no one will ever love you also the final is tomorrow"
- get renewable energy from that scream alone
nah that’d just make me cry, alerting my parents, apparently
Charlotte Fernau nah. You walk up to them and tell them “the WiFi is down” or “your phone is at 1% and there is no charger”
Eva C nah. You walk up to them and tell them “the WiFi is down” or “your phone is at 1% and there is no charger”
@@coughcough6933 "the wi-fi is down" can cause a myriad of reactions, as can "your phone is at 1%". the wifi being down doesn't necessarily mean that every teenager will start crying, because if you're not aware, most of us are literate and capable of finding things to pass the time. as for the second, your technology-obsessed monolithic understanding of teenagers would know damn well the phone that they are holding is at 1% and will captain their drowning ship to the bitter end. your comment isn't necessarily wrong, per se, but the location is key to obtaining the energy released from the scream - the room of the teenager. why wouldn't a teenager have their charger in their room? if they don't, they could just quietly open their door and retrieve one. and at night, if the wi-fi's down, then, like, they could just decide, "oh, well, i guess i can just fall asleep now."
Dude it was a joke

Mike: big deal, 3 steps and he's there
10:56 I thought the same as well
They had a 50 foot monster in the first movie when they were talking to work.
surprised he didn't remember that lol
Landon Y Also the giant slug monster on the football pitch later on in this same film. HE EVEN DESCRIBES IT AS A BIG MONSTER. Ding.
Yeah, it was Ted.
Erek Cooper xgjn
Finally. Someone said it. there purple not pink O.O
D Stevens Oh my god, I know right!
+Pinks Corner Of The Internet you coulda just said IKR
*they're
Keke Kumar Spelling Natzi get out
Pinks Corner Of The Internet *Nazi
I'm always upset that Mike didn't ever use external implements to augment himself. A contact lens to bloody his eye, dentures to give him fangs, horn extensions. Because we SAW monsters using then in the first one. One dude added several eyes, another put in fangs, like why could Scaring expert Mike not augment his body to give him a more frightening apperance?
I've been watching your channel for years and have never commented and complimented it so.... this is a great channel and i absolutely love it!! so thank you for doing what you do it's pretty good.
Why not just make a door to sixflags? Then there wouldn't even have to be any scarers.
that's actually really smart
+DubstepKid ?
+MissesKitty People scream on Roller coasters. Six Flags has roller coasters. Get me?
Wow you sir just wow tgats brilliant
Only little children screams work to power their world, so Six Flags wouldn't work since most of their rides are for older kids and adults. Methinks the door should be to either Knott's Sidewinder or Pony Express and Disneyland's play world where they have Dumbo or other kid's rides. But yeah, I agree, brilliant thinking, sir!
what about how in the past movie mike says "you were jealous of me since the 3rd grade!" but they met in university?
+Manienie oh yeah!
In the commentary of this movie they say it would have been either this or them in 3rd grade.
I was gonna say that right now. XD
Thank you god I'm not the only one who wonders that
maybe they were in the same classroom but they just never spoke
The most unrealistic part of this is that every single one of them finds success later in life
Also, at the start, Frank McCay (the blue guy that give Mike the hat) leaves the door to slowly close so that Mike can get in, for plot convenience, as no other monster does that. They close it.
I found another sin: in the beginning, why would mike be knocking on the door to get out of the bus, the driver (who *operates* the door) is inside the bus.
The bus driver was the teacher.
He even called the driver by his name “Joe” and wished him luck with a crossword puzzle
The bus driver was outside.
Very good point... I'm surprised HE didn't get that
I would hang out with the guy with cupcakes too
Kiwi music video
Olivia Rovid Randy?
I think the cupcake joke was for Sonic Lost World for having a SHITTY story!
Gurpreet Sidhu Randy won't hang out with Olivia Rovid's hairline!!!
Olivia Rovid He would be very popular if he made cupcakes for everyone.
11:18 Yeah breaking and entering is OK = Oozma Kappa
CinemaSins you missed the part where little mike said something ahead of this movies time:
“Come on *Karen* we’re moving behind”
“Please don’t call me *Karen* “
RUclips: lemme just slap this on you’re recommended 3 years later when you’ve already watched it
Same yt algorithm is broken but that’s old news
Keep 69 likes if we do go up however then get this comment.to 420
I don’t know why they say mike isn’t scary, if I saw that little bastard crawl out of my closet I would flip out
I think they mean scary compared to the other monsters
yup
There's another giant monster when mike and sully are walking to work in the first movie. It clucks like a chicken at the crosswalk.
Not to mention the bus says "MONSTERS UNIVERSITY" yet Mike is the only one who got off.
My question:
Why is it called *monsters* university? Like, we’re humans, and we don’t call it humans university. So why would monsters call it monsters university?
Because yes
I also found that weird. They’re logo is also the Monsters inc logo. So is the company associated with the college? If you went to MU instead of Fear Tech do u have a better chance of getting hired?
Diarrhea smells like wet poop
💩
Why. Ot he k poop poop
Isn't calling their college monster university is like calling our world college human university
I would be extremely suspicious of a college called "human university"
Same goes for monsters inc
+the clone trooper channel *Ding!
+Job J ad another one for not having a sequel to the first movie
+the clone trooper channel kinda... i wonder if the word monster is trademarked there
7:57 “this is too real. Painfully real”
Monsters at Work: **Laughs nervously**
"Everything Wrong With Monsters University In 15 Minutes Or Less" IS 18 MINUTES
In the first movie there was another big monster, when they stod at the traffic light
Scuderio ding
Marceline !
That's what I came down here to type
Sin: description says sequel, when this is in fact, a prequel.
ur a prequel
@@s4051 and how is that a comeback?
@@thefruityflamingo519 it's not a comeback he's just a prequel
@@thefruityflamingo519 and how is the original comment an insult?
@@carlwheezerofsouls3273 it isn’t?
Fun fact: Monsters University is based on Texas A&M University and Fear Tech is based on the University of Texas.
Holy shit you're right
As a dude who's from texas and who's watched this a 1000 times, how have I not realized that? I mean I never attended either Texas schools but still
Watch your language. Anyways, here’s another piece of trivia, the scaring hall is based on the building of Agriculture at TAMU.
@@Dj_Gj the hell do you care?
Jees, sorry
4:51 I have an answer: Spider pig, Spider pig, does whatever a spider pig does. Also, 7:16 if you have been to a walmart you will know that parents dont care when a kid is screaming, or crying.
