Useful video. To reduce overthinking and stress most important is to be careful what you feed your mind and body. Avoid comparing yourself with others, any bottled up emotions need to be shared with someone, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit anywhere or lay down--eyes open or closed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Never meditate with expectations. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath day and night before sleep, when travelling, when reading, at the workplace etc, etc. Best wishes--Counsellor.

Spot on. Another thing to remember is that if you absolutely have to be around negative people or negative things (aka a toxic work environment), be mindful to not let that impact you. Think of ways you can get out of that situation like finding a new job, but in the interval, you can't let that environment impact you. Just think of it as white noise. You can hear it, you can see it, but you can always choose to drown it out as background noise and let it go through in one ear and out the other.

Feeling anxious about not ever being good enough. Im so focused on how i used to be, im neglecting all the work my present self has put in. Healing my inner child has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. This has been effecting everything in my daily life, from caring for my children, being a wife, going to school, and working. My mind doesn't stop racing with the what-ifs.

Thanks bautiful woman soul, Dr, I always think I am too stresed and anxious to ever be able to concentrate on following a stranger canned on YT. But it being only for 4 mins removed a defiance. The peaceful face removed another hindrance, the balanced, truthful compassionate voice took my lat resistence away. Ingenious also to let it play anew by itself!
Lucky your friends, love to you and everyone honestly struggling for well-being. Peace is so close, and blessed are we if we find it in dying of our egos before we die from this life. I pray for us all to heal now, and to do each our own needed changes of habits and ways. Thank you Lord for your healing love pouring through us ceaselessly, thank you for our freedom to receive it or leave it. Bless this Dr, and bless us all. Thank you for all our precious lives and possibilities.

My mental health has been quite weird honestly…
Anxiety. Emetophobia. Nostalgic depression. I get anxiety in the morning, noon, and the deep nostalgic depression at night. Sometimes both of them hit at the same time and it ruins my day/appetite. Been like this for about a year and a half. I’m 17.
I feel stuck because I feel like I can’t tell anyone about this. I’m not close enough with my friends to talk to them about this. I don’t feel comfortable sharing my issues with the school councillor/teachers/police/strangers, etc. I know if I tell my mum she’ll use it against me in arguments (verbally abusive) and just put me down when she’s in a bad mood (she has very unstable mood patterns). If I tell my dad, well, he doesn’t believe in mental health issues. Once I tried to reach him little about my anxiety and he told me he has it too, but how he dealt with it was to suck it up, study hard, and it’s very obvious that he thinks he’s helping. And when he thinks he’s right, he becomes stubborn and there’s no way I can help him help me on this mental illness situation.
What bothers me the most currently is the nostalgic depression. Literally everything makes me nostalgic. Looking out the window, etc. it’s absurd. I think I miss my childhood before Covid, because that’s when quarantine began and relationships failed. Now it’s so bad because I have school and going into uni. I wish I could just be a careless child again. I wish there were no responsibilities and just friends. No loneliness. Loneliness is what I face on a day to day basis at school because I am swept up in nostalgic depression or social anxiety. I am starting to see no point in anything.
My mental health is getting worse by the day but I’m keeping my mouth shut. I just hope everything would resolve in my head. I am so desperate to tell someone in person about my struggles but no person is available to me, at least one I feel comfortable bawling my feelings out to. However there’s no one out there.
    What should I do next?

Dont worry about these problems. I also had these problems. But over came them. Here are very useful tips. 1, if u have time try to walk 45 minutes briskly inthe morning, as it will produce happy hormones in ur Brain. 2, Half an hour meditation morning and evening. 3, Do diaphramatic breathing whenever u feel tense. It will instantly calm sure. 4,Listen to music and talk to people, make friends. 5, practise shavasana ie corpse posture of yoga which is highly relaxing. These steps will surely make you calm and happy. Its my experience

How wonderful. Thank you for this beautiful session. I found your knowledge and explanations so sensitive and soft and warm. When there is a willingness to connect with others, anxiety can be explored, with awareness in order to reduce it's impact. Patience, showing up and being kind to ourselves when we fall is like retraining the amygdala in the present moment. With awareness, this becomes our super power to being with the anxiety that comes and managing it better. Waving to you with love, Marie-Louise from Cornwall, UK ❤

I've learned to somewhat control my anxiety but at times it'll be a bit more than I can handle. I get the chills, rapid heart rate, dizziness, sometimes nausea and it sucks. Had an anxiety disorder couple years ago and I would have an anxiety/panic attack multiple times a day. I do smoke a lot and drink a lot of coffee and it's been a pattern I've noticed where if on an empty stomach I'll get it. I've tried to learn to just breathe slow, stretch and tell yourself "you're okay". Even though it's hard to do you have to tell your brain that you are fine it's just an anxiety attack and they suck! They make you feel terrible. Stress was the factor for me. Lately I've had lack of sleep and work stress. Hope everyone here over comes their problems!

Thank you for this! I also get dizzy when I have anxiety but I'm confused whether or not that's the cause. Other than that, acceptance really is hard, but it's best to let the feelings flow and move on. Then overtime, it will slowly disappear. Thank you once again for this comment.

    • @oaktown7509
      @oaktown7509 3 месяца назад

@@lukeout1 What makes it worse too is hyperventilating. You have to control your breathing, and sometimes its easier said than done. Before i thought i had some type of heart condition because it just wasnt right but my doctor ran tons of tests and it was always fine. sometimes an anxiety/panic attack can actually feel like somethings going to happen but thats where the controlled breathing comes in. i know it sucks believe me. again, id get chills, dizziness, nausea, couldnt talk (basically choke up), very increased heart rate, and sometimes chest pain can be a part of it. at times ill be pacing back and forth and literally start freaking out making it worse. Like my dad always told me its literally all in your head your body is just finding alternative ways to cope with stress. you will be okay, sometimes talking to someone and taking a walk helps and it helped me! Be careful for meds as well and find a natural way to calm down

Ok, cmon... you and I - we’ll do this together. We’re gonna wisk this away in no time at all. Don’t resist or fight the anxiety, just embrace it with all you got. You’re doing awesome right now!!! Just let it float away on its own.
See, it’s already evaporating....It’s dripping off your fingertips...Feel it melt off yourself. See, there it goes......we’re all here with you right now!!! we love you . I can hardly feel anything anymore. You did awesome! I love you! There you go... the emotion you’re feeling right now is your body releasing all that pent up anxiety....THIS emotion is good...let it all out... ahhhhh.
At peace... at peace.... at peace... at peace....🙏🏻🌼🍀☀️✨🌼🍀🌼🍀🐣🌼🍀☀️✨🙏🏻

Reading the comments I get the feeling that most people commenting live in their problems/sorrow, and don't want to do the work. Seems like they're looking for the Standard American Quick fix without the effort. Woe is me.

This doesn't work for me - yes I'm in the future, and no I don't know that the future is going to be okay because there are lots of problems in my life. So yeah if I'm fine in the moment, then it seems like we're saying "Well you're fine right now, you're not in imminent danger, so you shouldn't be feeling anxious, just don't worry about all the other stuff that's going to come and bite you on the ass. Now run along". I watched this on the 4th day of anxiety driven chest pain.

Found this during an anxiety attack and realized I practiced with this teacher once at a retreat. This was very soothing. Thank you.
