I did interviews at two different locations. I’ve been praying for the opportunity at Pepsi. Great content. Keep the videos coming. It’s definitely motivation.
Did it for about 4 months , hated it but during the busy season you definitely make a lot . We were hourly at $31, Same when there’s no work for u pay went down to 26. Down season guys with least seniority gets hours cut the same
VROT is variable rate overtime. That’s how I got paid as a salesman and I feel like most of the time it is less than the traditional time and a half overtime pay would be. That’s why I’m happy I’m switching to driving and they are paid hourly plus regular overtime
@@thejerk75 I waited 2-3 months! It’s many of us that have gone through that long process. They’ll host orientation with all different position of folks in one room which is ridiculous to me
man Ive been a driver for Pepsi for about a year now in south Texas and they're always rushing us, I hate it, I'm literally running in the stores but they always come up with something to say "why did u take so long in this stop, blah blah blah", do you all follow the manifest times on your routes?
I try to but like stores like QuickTrips, CVS and Walgreens always take me a bit longer than the scheduled manifest. And even the Learge Format stores take way longer if you’re waiting to be checked in or like pallet is made wrong. So what I do now. If it takes me longer. The next stop I cut THIER time. (It sounds unfair but I had to realize at the end of the day we are a team me the driver, sales rep and the actual store so it’s not finna be my responsibility to stock many cases and literally go over my scheduled manifest time. Because you know one delay can put you behind scheduled so I always cut time in stores just to stay at worst (30 mins behind schedule) So yeah I will make more videos about how to be more efficient but I think first you have to stop letting stores and the manifest stress you. And really understand the manifest is made for stores to be drops so start dropping those stores or tell your supervisor to add more time on the manifest for actual work stores.
And if I come in to a store where they are taking THIER sweet time to check me in trust me, they are just cutting time that could have been used for me stocking, and I try to always communicate to the customer Pepsi Manifested me 33 mins so I try to let the customer know just in case they expect me to work a lot of cases or do too much!
@jmaydon7207 you can't. We had meetings about this. And we always point to the bogus time they give us per case without taking into account how long it takes to get checked in. Sometimes you gotta wait on another vendor infront of you. I only made the manifest maybe 2 or 3 times, and that's with someone who can throw up product quickly with you. I always laugh at the manifest when I see it😂
I turn 21 in November so how will the hiring process work if Pepsi is laying off truckers? And I want to work for Pepsi or any local company that hires no experience.
I’ll work my ass off for 2500 a week that’s something to motivate me to work hard tbh I’m in progress getting my CDL class A Pepsi is the company I would like to get into as my first CDL job
I went on an interview at the beginning of the month and everything went well. I got a email saying I was still in consideration for the position, how much longer do you think before I’ll hear something in regards to the next steps involved in the hiring process?
It’ll take about 2-3 weeks for a response. It happened to me. Today is actually my first day and I’m getting setup for my training route at this exact moment. Hope all goes well, good luck!
@@martinhenderson7487 congrats man, im in my 2nd week of cdl school im hoping i pass this, mom been working so hard on her own taking care of my siblings so this cdl would be amazing to have she has worked so much and worked hard she deserves some rest, wish me luck!!!
Ok so pepsi got back to me the next day after my interview. And over a 10 day span my background check, dot physical, clearinghouse, and drug test have all been done and cleared. But now it's been about 10 days since I finished all of of my on boarding and I've heard nothing. Does anyone know how long they take to bring you in for orientation? Im in charleston, SC.
I live in moncks corner sc like 25 min or less from Charleston I wanted to go to Pepsi so I just got my CDL permit I need to find a school or a company to take me an send me to school a guy told me yesterday they start at 28 dollars an idk the hiring process but let me know
@daltonburbage6522 ok a follow up. They denied me because my driving history is too short. I was told they take new drivers however so it could be because my regular driving history is short as well. If you don't have that problem, you should get in. Long story short, after the process I mentioned previously, it took about 2 weeks after my background check to get an answer. Idk if that's normal or if they were just waiting until after memorial day to start hiring. But expected things to take 3-4 weeks start to finish. The final call for orientation will come from whatever local location you interviewed with with an orientation date. In my case it would've been the one in ladson. The exact start pay is $28.60. Goodluck friend.
@@bg_philjac I got a big question for you bro we’re did u go to school to get your CDL I got my permit yesterday an trying to find a school or a company to take me for free not having any luck
@daltonburbage6522 well I'm from Jersey and I went to school out of pocket so I can't say from experience. But from the jobs I've applied for, most of your opportunities to get your license through a company are going to be over the road. I know stevens transportation is one. I believe TMC does too and their main terminal in this region is Columbia. If you're trying to stay local, that is difficult unless you apply to drive busses. I know a school bus company like first student are hiring permit drivers. And with all of those companies, the stipulations are you have to stay with them atleast a year after they help you get your license.
hi 👋 Aosaa thank you 🙏 for the video & information brother I hope all has been good 👍 with you buddy keep up your good 👍 work and please keep making videos thanks 🙏 😀😀
Truck driving jobs that cater to seniority workers are the worst to me. I can't speak for anybody else, though. And I'm saying that to say it is best to get all of your endorsements because you never know when your job may dry up, especially in the trucking industry. That's just my opinion 💯.
Keep grinding bro. I’ve been with Pepsi for 14 years. As your seniority goes up you’ll be making a lot more 💪🏽

Any Pepsi truck drivers in Cali, LA to be specific??? I’m in LA looking to graduate cdl training and get with a good company
No, not me.
Your base pay is 1,200!?
Pepsi I'm at is union. We all make the same hourly.
Sooo it's Seasonal? 😮
Most of the time they hire seasonal…. and if you’re solid enough they keep you and you’ll become a full time driver.
Look into tanker I’m a fuel hauler had my CDL for three years making 150k a year and you only need one year of experience
