Now I drive for a company that has assigned trucks and I can keep it the way I want it and make it my personal office. All the power to you if this is the grind you enjoy and keep making that money.
Im glad the Pepsi facility i work at is an Express. So our tractor, trailer and all equipment stays together and are assigned to a route. And routes are assigned to a driver. So every day you run the same route (unless you are a Relief driver) and have the same equipment every day. So people take care of their stuff
Whooo. What a junky looking yard. Cords laying all over the place. Having to rob equipment from other vehicles. Trash can overflowing. Putting tractors away with low fuel. Got a few problems there, my friend. BTW, you called the Landing Gear the Lift Gate 2 times.
Worked for montreal pepsi, worst job ever, Same problems, even worse, drivers steals equipments everywhere, they even locks it to steel beams inside with locks, tractors in terrible conditions, horrible route, can’t finish a single day without running. Even not enought trucks in the morning. Thats a terrible organisation with supervisors having no idea how a truck works, sitting inside their office chilling and slaking drivers to marchandising when there is not enought routes, even in the middle of summer
Dafuq,so you have to hunt down a pallet jack and other equipment at the beginning of every shift. Pepsi needs to get the $hit together and buy more equipment. Never would I work there lmao!..
I often wondered how the sled frames ended up bent. So the drivers just yank them off the back of the trailer? So does Mesquite not assign each trailer a sled and electric jack? Do the warehouse loaders not seal the trailers after loading? Geotab records everything dealing with the truck while out on the route. It shows speed, location, seatbelt usage, and any diagnostic error codes that may occur during your shift. It's also like an electronic log book.
As a fellow pepsi driver it really pisses me off when my truck gets stripped of tools and slows my start, when there are empty trucks with the tools on them.
Lmao whats going on at Pepsi? Someone steals your pallet jack so you just steal one from another trailer so that driver now has to go find one? Are there not enough pallet jacks to go around?
