Bin there done that, inside an underground loading dock, once the weight was off, I pulled forward and thought it was snowing ( inside, summer?). I was scraping the insulation off the ceiling. LOL
Could the air leveling valve have been disconnected and moved down to inflate the rear suspension. Might not work because the front drive axle is already extended. The rear would be doing all the lifting. Just a thought.
One would think they might reason that a shorter trailer with a shorter wheel base might be a solution. Maybe a sign that says wheel base of 53 ft trailers will not fit.
I'm assuming part of the issue of this driveway is the bollards anti-vehicle management system what's looks to be the giant steel pillars which are embedded in the ground there with come up at night I'm assuming. Instead of paying 750 to $1,500 one would assume that they would regulate a minimum landing gear height before you're allowed to be loaded at the facility. I have to tell you that as a truck driver 10 years if I was loading out of this facility on a normal rate I would have wooden wedge blocks probably triple layer 2 by 6 with a slope and when I got to the point to where landing gear was getting close to the ground I would hop out and put it under my drivers. I'm amazed that security at the facility doesn't watch the trucks leaving which they could and have similar blocks in place instead of again charging the taxpayer 750 to 1500 bucks but you know if that makes too much sense
“are you holding the brake?”, “no”, then it rolls forward, ha. I’ll bet you guys see old sorts of shady crap from other companies. Great to see how y’all have your shite together..
Had that happen to me once, the best thing to do is slide the fifth wheel, lock drive wheels and rock it loose. Then take an angle to get out. I was only a month on the job, had traffic backed up and luckily some old time walked up and showed me what to do.
I feel like this problem is a result of the loading bay design. The sudden angle change is just asking to get vehicles with long distances between their wheel bases stuck.
Hey Josh !!! If you have seen or remember Danny Glover & Mel Gibson In "" Lethal Weapon"",, Where they got locked into the container full of $$$$$$$ & the Mercedes ,, then you know what was in that trailer that you just got unstuck !!! I mean you can get them and they have four or five different flashing modes I bought a pack of eight and gave them to my son to put in his car and they have magnets and stuff on them and they show up pretty good at night but I was wondering how well they would work on the side of the road or anything. I just wanted to see what maybe a tow truck driver would think about them
Love seeing a wrecker opperator with a well set and clean up rig.
Wish some of the oppereators where I work would keep their shit organized.
Oh man I hate disorganization! We always keep our stuff clean and neat
Great job Alex. Truly the professional everytime!👍👍
Thanks!
The federal bank asked for a cash discount! 😂 Cool job Alex. What a crazy design for the entrance way, certainly not 'fit for purpose'
Wrong delivery truck for that site. Good recovery 👏.
Nice work Pepe"s Towing
Yeah, that’s pretty easy to see how old mate got himself in trouble, he doesn’t know if he’s got his brakes on or not
Well done! Good communication skills.
Thanks!
What do they (the truck drivers) need to do to avoid this? Slide their tandems forward?
Nice rig and well done
Maybe the guy didn't understand....
Obviously had the brake on until reminded for the third time to disengage it ! Following simple instructions in important and then had to ask him to set the brakes three times after moving him.
Exactly the kind of driver we need hauling around $$ millions
another great job and great video !!!! Alex is doing a spectacular job keep up the great work.
Appreciate it, he will definitely have tons more content coming.
Helluva way to pop your relatively new tractor-trailer's cherry, but an excellent job by Pepe's crew, as usual!
The first pop is the best 😂
This video appeared in my timeline in RUclips, nice job, Watching from Brazil.
There is a covered service road in the West End of London, behind a theatre. It has a low stone-built roof:
When you enter with a full load, no problem, there's a bit of clearance, but, try to leave after unloading......
You don't think about it until it happens to you.
Bin there done that, inside an underground loading dock, once the weight was off, I pulled forward and thought it was snowing ( inside, summer?). I was scraping the insulation off the ceiling. LOL
Alex, good work brother! Keep it up! God bless you 🙏
15:42 "you're not holding the brake are you?" "no" 15:50 *air brakes release and truck rolls freely*
💀💀😂😂😂😂😂😂Bruh
Dude was tugging for a good min too😂😂😂😂
Could the air leveling valve have been disconnected and moved down to inflate the rear suspension. Might not work because the front drive axle is already extended. The rear would be doing all the lifting. Just a thought.
Great job Alex.
Mandeep professional cdl driver.😂before entering inside building slide back tandem 😅
One would think they might reason that a shorter trailer with a shorter wheel base might be a solution. Maybe a sign that says wheel base of 53 ft trailers will not fit.
Perhaps, but we've even pulled out 40' ones and 3 axle box trucks
The Federal Reserve is not owned by the taxpayers.
You guys always do great work. It is fun to watch.
Thanks for continuing to watch!
What has changed since that building was built? Are the trucks using smaller tires or are the trailers built differently?
Possibly the street/sidewalk were rebuilt.
48 foot trailers were once popular and likely had no issues at that dock ,,, now . its 53 foot trailers ... likely the clearance issue.
@@rollsmerlin1659he mentioned they have problems with 40ft trucks getting stuck too
Nice work Alex!
17:06 The guy on the scooter was thinking he can go under the trailer. 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for sharing it's awesome to see you at your best well-deserved drink for you take care😊
Thanks for watching, we try to do our best on every job, even easy ones like this.
I feel like this problem is a result of the loading bay design. The sudden angle change is just asking to get vehicles with long distances between their wheel bases stuck.
Can't this be avoided with appropriate load limits or weight distribution?
Professional job 🇺🇸💪👍
Thanks 💪
Did the driver have any free samples? (Sorry old and dumb joke but I couldn't resist!)
Nice job Alex! Good video!
Great video. “Alex is the new Josh.”
Just one guy doing the job. Impressive.
Hey Josh !!! If you have seen or remember Danny Glover & Mel Gibson In "" Lethal Weapon"",, Where they got locked into the container full of $$$$$$$ & the Mercedes ,, then you know what was in that trailer that you just got unstuck !!! HAHA There is a ""MONEY INCINERATOR "" in AZ. that I know of !! TOO bad the Driver didn't have wood blocks to put under the drives to lift the unit up when he backed in & wouldn't need your help to get out again !! Great job again & waiting for the next adventure !! 🙂🙃😉👀👀👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, love that movie! For some reason I thought of the Italian Job haha, imagine pulling a heist and using getting stuck as a setup 🤣
Just curious, why sometimes are the outriggers are out on one side mostly?
Dock was designed for 48ft and shorter. If I ever go there I'll bring some 4x4 mats to level out the hump.
But 75% of my freight is forty ft containers. With a day cab.
True enough, now 53 footers and some places started experimenting with 60 footers. I worked for a company that thought 53s were fine for city P&D, Boneheads
That guy had a hard time following simple instructions xD....
Alex is the man!
Just wanted tell you thank you for responding to my comment I live in California we don't have accidents like you do your family is very proud of you take care God bless
I dont know what it is about california but it seems like every underground garage has to have terrible ramps to get in and out. either its on a crazy angle or they have planters right up against it so you cant see anything till your already turning into the road
Where is his trailer tandem set. How far to the front could he slide the tandems.
Good Work Pepe 😎
Awesome job, hope i never need your service. Good to know your out there!
Man, I've been a Paramedic for 20 years. I need to retire and just ride along with Alex... I need a career change... lol
I must say you do very good work
Nice informative and interesting video. I'm viewing from TAMPA BAY FLORIDA, USA,🇺🇸 NICE WRECKER, PAINT AND COLOR COMBO IS EYE CATCHING. THANKS FOR NOT CURSING I CAN WATCH WITH MY GRAND KIDS.
I drive trucks in England and I'm sure we could have raised the tractor unit with the air bags and cleared that,..Are US trucks different?
Then I guess our trucks must raise higher as there is much more space between the mudguards and the tyres when raised over here,..Still hilarious or have you learnt something?.
Alex great job and video! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Yes he did, and thanks for watching!
The big question is what is that truck loaded with at the FR?
Very nice! He was defiantly holding those brakes and didn't seem to get it right away what was happening. Should also run a camera by the running gear and where your lift point is before your strap is in the way. Nice job should be at least 2k probably more in LA
No adjustable air suspension on the tractor?
P&PJ , perfect and professional job 🙃
I guess nobody taught the driver how to take his leveling valve stick off to pump up his airbags and save a grand.
