If anyone was to ask any CHP officer who is the best tow and recovery company out there, they would say hands down, it is Pepe’s. Any other company would have just dragged that rig up the hill and tore it all to pieces. You did it with that trailer all in tact. You actually saved that company money because that trailer is still usable. Great job again guys. Josh, supervising was amazing.

And, you did all of that without damaging the guardrail!! Seriously, VERY well done you Alex and Ricardo!!
Remember I went over my rigging formula and how with the incline and terrain and tractor damage the trucks “feel” more force , I calculated about 1.75x. So flipper had the front of the trailer PLUS the rear tractor. The load cell line when already coming up was over 20k. Flipper EASILY saw 3x that when it first went in to break traction. Nothing to scare haha it sure looks crazy but once you break tension you’re in like Flint

Ireland probably doesn't have many roads big enough to handle large trucks because the roads were there for many centuries. I am surprised that Germany doesn't have rotators. Fire departments have cranes that go to wrecks.
@@tiredoldmechanic1791 we in europe does not have these because of weight regulations, this truck itself weighs more than the legal weight of an eu 8 axle truck, so it would not be able to tow anything without a over weight permit, therefore it is more resonable to use a crane in these cases

There are a lot of good tow companies out there and Pepe’s rates right at the top. When I dispatched for a tow company several years ago we had CHP, NHP and Nye County Sheriff’s and they all worked with our drivers as much as they could. Great job as always Josh
When you said that this ain't no weak trailer man I'm going to tell you right now that's what I was thinking. Whoever inspected that trailer and built that trailer deserves an A+. What's crazy is about that trailer it's almost like it's reusable. I don't think anybody in the world would ever be able to think that if something went on its side like that that it would be able to be used again. Somebody would really have to inspect that trailer now if that was even possible.
I was about going nuts when you were instructing new guy near beginning and he was doing the opposite of what you were telling him. But you didn’t get angry, stayed calm, and even praised him later. THAT is a good boss. Motivating, not humiliating.

Incredible job, and liked how even when offered the other lane at the start he thought of the other road users and said they were OK to prevent further tail backs and disruption. Done a bit of off road recovery and that was pure precision, good to watch. The old road that they crossed looked interesting, there before the freeway and with a history and stories to tell.
This was absolutely amazing! So calmly and well-coordinatedly done! You put 150% effort into everything you do and are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right!
A _very_ impressive recovery, guys! Definitely more technical than the cement truck down the embankment and into the house, especially when you throw in the leaking diesel and smoking battery cables. Josh, you really managed the whole situation well, even with many CHP, LA Fire, and Cal Trans personnel on scene and watching your every move. Really well done!
I own a towing company here in Maryland with 5 heavy duty rotator trucks 3 flatbeds and 2 1 ton tow trucks and i tell you what that's the best pick and roll recovery I've seen in a long time guys👍🏿👍🏿
You rock man thank you. Everyone loves compliments but to get praise from people with similar equipment in my industry is just another level of ego boost.
Another Great video Josh. You have the best crews in the business! Got the trailer up the hill in one piece and rolled it in the air and set it down! Those were some great camera angles and shots. the drone gives you an idea as to what is going on! I love this kind of videos.
Wow! Absolutely awesome work! Stress levels at max, but Josh uses his wealth of experience to see the job through to a successful conclusion (as always!) 👍🤩. And huge congrats to Alex and Ricardo too of course! The best team in the business! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A master-class in precision recovery from one of the most challenging situations; watched it all rapt. The fire risk was very real, glad the Fire Dept was on the case.
Have you ever thought of a boon cam? you so could make it a little hulk dude in the gear with his head being the cam. You can make him wave with just a button. Could put a loud speaker in it. All inside a hulk standing tall and proud on the boon. Or you can attach your hulk hang from your drone. Advertising and entertainment for kids in traffic. I have mad respect for big rig truck drivers, and you guys are the backbone to it.
What a amazing recovery, the dmall amount of room you used to flip the truck and trailer is unbelievable. Do vlose to your rotators and you didn't seem concerned about that at all! So impressive, you guys rock!

I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said in the comments except outstanding! Outstanding job, you made a difficult and stressful job look easy, tho I’m sure it was far from it. I’m a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator so I understand a great deal of what you go through. Rigging and lifting is a very dangerous and technical aspect of what we do that can be deadly in an instant if you don’t know what you’re doing. Along with all of that you were orchestrating three heavy wreckers while dealing with minimal space and time constraints, as well as peak traffic! As if that wasn’t enough you’ve got Cal Trans looking over your shoulder and questioning your every move, as well as the diesel and oil spill! What you did once you got it up the hill was nothing short of amazing! It was like a slo mo ballet brother! You and your team work very well together and I can tell that you care about your crew, it comes through, so much respect. Your father must be very proud. The only thing that I couldn’t figure out was what you were going to do with the rig when you got it up cuz it didn’t look like there was enough real estate to set that truck in but I figured, hey this isn’t his first rodeo, he’ll handle it, and sure enough you did! Great video and drone footage, you’re loco for trying to do all that at once but well done young man! Liked and subscribed! 🇺🇸💪👊
Can’t believe that trailer survived that great recovery and to think we used to recover stuff like that with trucks with 750 Holmes wreckers much respect 4 u guys 👍👍👍👍👍
Wow! This job was intense. You guys did great! Can't believe the driver only had minor injuries.I just started watching this channel and I find it very interesting never knew how hard this job can be.
Very interesting the rigging aspect of this and the amount of thinking and knowledge that goes behind it, very similar to what we do with difficult/tricky trees with our rigging climbing and our cranes.
Very impressive! I like your ability to adapt and make any necessary changes on the fly. I have been watching this site for a long time and you never fail to do a top notch job.👍
You guys did an awesome job. I noticed at around 15:39, Big Flipper appeared to slide over. I was wondering if this is just a camera issue or if it actually slid over? Keep up the great work and stay safe.
I found your channel only recently and have been catching up with the videos. I've got to say this recovery was an exceptional performance by you and your team, Josh. The way you coordinated Alex and Ricardo efficiently and respectfully was a credit to you! To lift that truck out of that situation and rotate it onto it's wheels without any more damage was an amazing result, and I must confess to being a bit emotional seeing it hanging there above the guard rail right way up. The continuous flow of fuel could have been because the tanks may be cross connected. Some trucks I drove were set-up that way. Thanks for the interesting video.
I definitely enjoy the longer-form videos that show the thought process and rigging challenges that go into the job. This was quite a piece of work and you guys did an amazing job of it. I'm sure you're really happy when Caltrans is there to clean up the mess and you don't have to do it.
What a job there! you can never plan enough for something like this-'cuz eveything can/will go wrong. Great execution--and having the right equipment makes all the difference in the world. When you have that whole rig suspended in air--that is NOT the time to worry about-did I buy the best chains or slings? Nope--you need total confidence.
Yup 💯 accurate. That’s why I say you always over rig and you NEED to see the end at the very beginning. We knew we had the iron and rigging for it and once we knew what our plan was it was a matter of executing it
Josh Alex and Ricardo awesome job, you guys work so well together! Your company spends the money on first class trucks and equipment! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Absolutely phenomenal job guys! You really are at the top of your game... to say you only closed one lane! Here in the UK the Highways Agency would have closed the entire freeway 😅 Incredible footage and edit Josh! Keep up the great work Alex & Ricardo and the wider Pepe's Team 🔥
Im so impressed with your skills at supervising, your dad has got to be so proud..Alex and Ricardo and you work so well together. I never realized how much work goes into towing big rigs, I got my sister watching..amazing, I can't imagine what that towing bill was. I just suscribed today..incredible job!
Just asking. Were you not able to upright the truck on that lower access ramp road? Would it have been more difficult? Just trying to understand your logic. I’m not a tow operator.
Thank you for recording these amazing videos. I am amazed on how efficient you are and the level of respect that you have for your coworkers and vice versa. I sure hope you don’t have any haters out there and if you do trust me, they’re only jealous and most likely live a miserable life. I am a huge supporter of LEO and especially the CHP. The level of respect that they have for you shows exactly what a class act you are. The same goes for you those guys would pick up a broom and help sweep for you and that right there shows the level of respect you both have for each other. Makes you wonder what those freedom amendment auditors real motivation is for when they disrespect LEO. I don’t know if you ever come down to South Orange County but hopefully one day I’ll see ya out there on the road.
I have PLENTY of haters which is hilarious because I’m such a nice guy and always willing to help. We do work for so many other tow companies and just in general if people reach out with questions I like to help. But thanks for the compliments and hope you’re subscribed!
Bet this one had to be a real change compared to all of the inter-city work you all do. It's so cool to see a family run business being so successful. Back here in Ohio we see some nasty wrecks & as you mention - it's always a hurry up situation. Great content & it's appreciated by us gear heads! Awesome fleet!
A tip, that type of fire extinguisher (dry chemical) is great at putting fires out, but does nothing to prevent fires from reigniting. Once the electrical system is isolated, water or foam will do a much better job to cool down the area and foam will cover and stop oxygen from getting in. Of course, the amount of airation in the foam will determine if it will stick to vertical surfaces or just run down to the ground.

Totally awesome...it's always amazing what you guys can do with your rigs. Great video!!
Poor Jeffrey 😂. I'm always Amazed at what y'all do but this by far was one of the best. Absolute Awesome Team effort
You guys are fricking awesome. No mather how many times i watch you, you guys rock!!!!!
What an awesome job, your company is the best recovery outfit I have ever seen . Keep up the good work!
Awesome team work, Alex truck went for slide at 15.40 mark, but held in strong. Excellent job Josh, Alex,Ricardo another one for the books.
Another Great video Josh. You have the best crews in the business! Got the trailer up the hill in one piece and rolled it in the air and set it down! Those were some great camera angles and shots. the drone gives you an idea as to what is going on! I love this kind of videos.
I cant imagine what everyone around was thinking when you did a flip in the air. That was amazing
They probably thought "wow, never seen this before!"
Great recovery, and well covered with all the camera and drone angles!
This is one of the most incredible videos I've seen on RUclips. These guys are experts in the highest sense of the word.
Josh you are the supreme conductor of a magnificent team. Great job guys!
You are excellent at your job, very professional, the drivers cannot imagine how hard you work to keep the traffic flowing
That was very tight
Beautiful recovery job gentlemen you guys work so well together great work
Krásná koordinovaná práce. Klobouk dolů před vámi všemi. Jen buďte na sebe opatrní a myslete na vaši bezpečnost. Přeji hodně zdraví a úspěchů vám všem ❤😊👍
Amazing work Josh, Alex and Ricardo. I know it’s a huge effort, you make it look so smooth and easy. Keep up the great work.
Very impressive, you guys are really good at what you do. Kudos to a job well done.
Difficult job, well-handled and managed. Josh, you Alex and Ricardo are becoming quite a team.
Another great video from my favorite tow company in LA ! Amazing editing and work. You worked with so little space and still got the job done 👍
You're channel has absolutely blown my mind how you make this stuff happen. Solid job
Very interesting the rigging aspect of this and the amount of thinking and knowledge that goes behind it, very similar to what we do with difficult/tricky trees with our rigging climbing and our cranes.
watching from the u k,awesome recovery,1st time ive ever watched one of these, really well executed teamwork, good job
Very impressive! I like your ability to adapt and make any necessary changes on the fly. I have been watching this site for a long time and you never fail to do a top notch job.👍
Pepe I have say you and your crew. Professional and exceptional.great work
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
+Slim WantedMan hope you enjoy this one !
@@PepesTowingService deep sea fishing here. Love it.
Josh, Alex and Ricardo, You make a GREAT team!! Beautiful job. Great team work made it look easy. Stay safe, y'all.
You guys did an awesome job. I noticed at around 15:39, Big Flipper appeared to slide over. I was wondering if this is just a camera issue or if it actually slid over? Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Actually slid
Another awesome recovery you guys. Keep it up !! Always nice to have an extra lane to work in … 👍👍👍👍👍
You guys do some unbelievable recovery 👏 🎉
+DW PIXEL 😎😎😎
Man, inch perfect recovery. Watching that rotation was amazing. Well done!
We knew we had the iron and rigging for it and once we knew what our plan was it was a matter of executing it
OMG, you guys are the true grandmasters of recoveries!
Scary wreck! What a hellacious ride! Great job guys! ❤
Agreed. Here in the U.K. the entire road would be closed for hours with many miles of traffic tailbacks
Another great job. Most professional tow service I have seen!
He did a video of a wreck along I-5 thru Camp Pendleton, about 5 miles from Oceanside.
You guys are amazing. You know your stuff I love watching you.
Very knowledgeable and great tip thanks
I saw “Big Flipper” slide a few times but “Hulk” stood his ground!!!
Yes, big flipper is pulling the heaviest portion of the semi truck.
That was crazy cool to watch. These guys are some serious professional tow truck drivers.
big flipper move at 15:40 in the video
Josh ... you & your crew are doing a AWESOME job, on this totalled out tractor, and damaged trailer ... OMG ... that can is certainly a total loss!!
Wow! Incredible work gentlemen! That was a masterclass in recovery! Love the videos! #pepesrocks #masterclassrecovery
that was outstanding work Josh, Alex and Ricardo!!!
love your vids
Thanks!
WOW., you guys are real professionals and calm as can be, you guys make it look too easy,,, great job fellas
