  • Wrong Way Driver vs Big Rig Crash! First, there were NO fatalities on this job. The big rig driver rode back with us to the shop, and I believe the lady in the Kia got a ride. Modern engineering truly is crazy to be able to survive something like this. I got this call from CHP and responded in Hulk, my 50ton rotator.
    I kept this video as long as possible to show you just how long it takes me to fully clear a complicated mangled scene like this one, which took roughly one hour flat. The force of the impact took out this guy's entire passenger side and front axle, which made it tricky to clear and eventually tow. I did this part with my 1/2" Omega links (grade 10) over the engine frame and through the leaf spring to prevent them from sliding. The bulk of my time on scene was clearing out the mangled mess between the axle, DEF and other parts.
    Luckily Alex was available and responded in a flatbed to help take the debris and also the driver. Once he helped me connect air to release the brakes, we were out and back at the shop in 10 minutes. I didn't get that part with my DJI Action 4, but the shop cams did and look pretty cool to see what that process looks like at night from a street view.
    So what do you guys think of my new action camera? How did it perform at night and with my constant running around? Hoping you guys like this one so I can start using that camera more!
    Don't forget to head to www.pepestowla.com/shop after the video and grab your cool Pepe's swag to represent your favorite tow company!

    I couldn't believe the damage to the truck and the car with major front end damage did seem not to show a lot of damage to the cabin area. Wow, it seemed that every time you turned your back something new came in sight to prolong the recovery. I enjoyed the video coverage a lot, the DJI was quality and the result was up close and personal. As a side note, huffing and puffing at the beginning might indicate the need for AM runs with Alex. Thanks guys for the video.

    So first of all I would like to say that the quality of the camera is as good as if I was seeing it with my own eyes, like I too was present.
    I sometimes caught myself trying to look in a different direction than your point of view and then I wondered why I was looking at my wall next to me,...
    it was so real at times... completely forgot that I was watching a video!
    Then I would like to say that there is nothing I love more than watching other people work, especially when they obviously know what they're doing.
    Big praise also to your colleague, very attentive and with a helping hand, whether it was little things or things like the air pressure - great teamwork and the way it has to be!
    The last thing I would like to say is that your truck is frickin' nuts.
    At times it reminded me a little of ambulances or fire engines, but only when it comes to the nicely tidy and sensibly organized side compartments.
    Your lifting devices will hardly let you down in any situation, the cockpit looks like it's in a small airplane, the lighting is awesome and otherwise the truck looks extremely cool.
    Amazing piece of work man!
    Kudos!

Also I have to give a shout out to Alex for filming all the cool stuff he does, AND (a slightly larger shoutout) to you Josh, for editing the extra videos and giving us 2 a week lately. Oh don't you worry, no way in hell will that lady get to just walk it all off like it aint no thing. She broke the law, went the wrong way, and risked other people's lives, and destroyed a semi-truck. Whether her going the wrong way was accidental or not doesn't matter. What matters is she broke the law, caused property damage, and could have killed both herself, and other's, including the truck driver. If I was a court judge, I would be pulling her license, I believe that is the correct course of action, as well as making sure she pays all applicable fines and damages.

      Yeah, I love Pepe's for sure! But I consider Ron Pratt the best, mainly because of his many years of experience, and how professional and respectful he is. But it takes all kinds in the industry, and team work makes the dream work.

    • @powertool64
      @powertool64 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@stellarproductions8888 I gotta disagree with you there. Yes, I was watching Ron long before I found Josh's channel, but over time I began to realize that Ron's experience was not as absolute as I used to think. But I'm not really talking about knowledge or experience, but the content of the videos themselves. It's far more interesting watching a rollover get righted than it is watching a combine get dragged out of a field. But more importantly, Josh's videography is stellar. EDIT: Oops, I just now noticed your name. Using the word "stellar" was purely coincidental. I'm a professional writer, and it was just the word that fit.

    • @stellarproductions8888
      @stellarproductions8888 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@powertool64 Actually, what you said makes sense to me. I think you might be right about that specifically. This is why it's great watching multiple recovery channels. I just got done watching one where a small company tow operator had to deal with an entitled karren, who was complaining about him blocking the road with his wrecker, because of the job he had to do, all because a dumb trucker who should have known better, took a semi down a narrow one lane road and then took a turn to short, putting his trailer tandoms in a ditch. Once he got rigged up, really only took like 15 minutes to get him lifted up and out of there. But you know how them karrens gotta be, make a seen to make my blood boil lol. It's great watching all kinds of recoveries. I will say this, I did get tired of the 15 minute off the road car recoveries on Ron's channel. I was like, dude, you got a rotator, let's get some real stuff done, you got other workers to handle this basic stuff. Lol. BTW, good luck dude, this writers strike has been brutal in the industry.

    On vacation from the UK last Sunday 09/10/23 at about 9am, we drove up to the Boyle Yard. Took some photos and then went to the Target on Sunset via. 101 & Western. Came back home and this was the next video to watch. Spooky coincidence.

    I loved all your commentary and how much you enjoy what you do. I always like learning stuff even if I'll never do it myself! The new camera was great, super clear. Kudos to Alex too for the quick air repair. And you did a great backup job into the yard lol.

    Love the yard shots! Don't worry, someday when you grow up you'll be able to back up as good as the "old man".
