  • Incredible Rescue - Car Crashes 250' Off Bridge! I never post fatals, and it's obvious that the driver lived. Believe it or not, very minor injuries! It's hard to see but as he went over and down the hill, the car got wedged and stuck, which prevented him from falling all the way down. Search and Rescue was on sight to extract the driver, then air lift him for safety. What an amazing job they did in conjunction with the FD and authorities on scene.
Once the driver was taken care of and the helicopter gone, Alex was tasked to retrieve the vehicle using Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. Both lanes on this road were closed for hours already, so Alex made quick work on this one. After literally repelling down to the vehicle, he used two BA car straps that were already hoisted down to connect to the strongest parts of the car.
Once back at the top, it was just a matter of winching in and upright the car so he can set it directly onto the flatbed driven by Vicente. This made for a quick and easy car recovery and allowed CHP to open up the road and let everyone stuck finally get to their destination. So much can go wrong on these jobs, but happy everything went so well all things considered.
What did you guys think of Alex's solo recovery and the multi agency team effort to get the driver out back to safety?

BEST car fishing video EVER!!!! The best thing about this video is how well it shows dozens of people from multiple agencies working in perfect harmony to recover the driver and the car!! And then if all of that wasn't enough, dude runs out of gas and you just happened to be there to tow him to the gas station. Behind the recovered car. **PERFECT**!!!!

Great job Alex. Naration, video, rapelling down the hill. First time on the rope and calm as could be. I would guess that the trip down might of been a little bit white knukle. Enjoyed this very much. The LAFD SAR who helped Alex down was great. Agencies can pull together when it is needed. Thanks for posting Josh. I forgot to say how cool it was for Vincente to get the out of gas car to the gas station.

That was insane... coming from the standpoint of an Eagle Scout who hung from more than one rope during his teen years, very very few would attempt a decent like that in full daylight.
Mad props to all of you doing it in the dead of night. Amazing job!
How on earth the driver survived that is a real testament to the safety designs in modern cars. I doubt there is a single salvageable piece of that Fiesta.

We're so used to and take for granted the resources we have. Look at all the different jobs that perfect their own craft come together and complete a common mission. From the firefighters rescuing the patient, the helicopter crew coming in and taking the patient to the hospital, Mr Josh and his crew recovering the car, and the State Patrol assisting with traffic and doing their investigstion. All the different pieces that came together that made a great puzzle. The only negative thing i seen in this video was a man being seriously injured, and it sucks that, that had to happen for this masterpiece to be displayed. To everyone in this video, thank you for what you do. It was a pleasure to watch.

On another note, send this to the white house, supposedly there is a president, and Gavin. I didn't see a electric tow truck, fire truck, ambulance, police, or a helicopter. All diesel. I have a diesel truck, but now I have to sell it. Peace ✌️
