Hollywood is drama and fake. I’m way too calm and drama free to be picked up haha. All those reality heavy rescue shows make it seem like each job is this disaster waiting to happen at any second and then I’m just like “piece of cake let’s start rigging “
@@PepesTowingService it's definitely much different when your towtruck is stuffed on a 2 lane highway, and on frozen ground, the trucks slide and theyll use chains and most drivers dont give a shit if they damage the truck/car ect, because they dont want to laydown in 2-3ft of mud/water in -25-35 celcius
That was great teamwork between two towing companies! Nice to work with a company that doesn't want to be the only boss. That was some great work getting the trailer up and between the two r=trucks and setting it on the road. Great work from both towing companies!
Who needs Hollywood when you have Josh & Crew representing LA's finest... Pepe's Towing...! Perfect recovery examples with all the best shots from land and air and direct action with NO Damn Commercials... & no Movie Director YELLING "CUT!!!" or "MAKE UP!!!" and "LET'S TAKE IT FROM THE TOP"... You get the live, raw footage, right from the source...!!! Awesome video and way to keep it real & calm working with the S&R guys...! Definitely one for the Calander...!
What a beautiful cooperative effort with Pepe's and S&R Towing!!!! I am most impressed with S&R by the fact that it took them zero time to figure that Dave knows his stuff. The only thing missing from this video is Dave directing the maneuvering the trailer in between the rotators move. Awesome video, 2024 calendar shot for sure!! It is always a wonderful thing to see groups of people working together without any ego conflict at all. Job VERY well done by all!!!!
Believe me I tried to get that drone footage from their side but was unsuccessful. That would have shown the super cool rotate between trucks but at least I got everything else lol. Thanks !
Great job Josh & Dave! Fantastic attitude with always willing to work with other companies - it helps everyone, plus it's business and friendship development. Long drive but worth it!
Very impressive. I especially liked the coordination between two "competing" tow companies. Nice to see their willingness and cooperation to get the job done quicker and easier.
you and midwest towing (ron pratt) have the best towing and recovery videos. ron is more educational going step by step. you get right in and explain what your doing and go for it. i love watching both of your all's stuff. i love the use over the drone set it to hover and shoot! yes! this recovery was sick!
Hey Josh, I know you always work with poor Jonas, cause he's only got 1-rotator and needs some help. LOL! But I gotta say, I am really impressed with S&R towing. From what I can see, a great group of guys, who are highly educated and skilled, willing to listen to other's, and overall, really work well. I really hope you get to work with them more often. On the other side of the coin, S&R knows how good you are Josh, so you might have some calls coming your way in the future, from the boys, with the wicked awesome rotators.
First of all thank you lol. Was hoping you'd see this video, what did you think of the Kodak film stock emulation I used on this video? Worked out much better on the Sony and drone vs the action camera, but not too bad overall lol. Also quick correction, Jonas doesn't have a rotator lol he's got a 50ton fixed boom wrecker.
@@PepesTowingService Your very welcome 😎 this was one of the best collaborations you've ever done IMO. The Kodak film stock effect was cool, put a traditional look to it. But I agree, the Sony can do it better, but it should, it's a 3500 dollar camera lol. Oops my bad, how did I forget he drove a fixed boom? What a boomer. HAHA! I kid you know that, Jonas is great. Thanks so much for sharing, easily one of my most favorite videos you've done.
Absolutely, the FX3 in Slog3 is just a different beast. The DJI in 10bit with Dlog is also very smooth. Both really let me push the coloring when I have time. Otherwise it’s just basic stuff in a rush to meet my upload deadlines. And awesome glad you liked it
Hey Josh // Dave & S & R towing !! Great recovery with ALL working together to "" GET --R--DONE "" with NO additional damage to either unit involved !!! 🙂🙃😉🤔🙄👍👍👍👍👍 Great video with the drone --Josh !! 👍👍👍👍👍
Whenever you see the *airport* fire truck, you know there's either major heat/fire or potential major heat/fire. When I85 burned down in Atlanta, they used TWO trucks from Hartsfield ... and remember, each of those trucks carries TWO loads capable of extinguishing a 737.
Holy smokes lol I did not know this. We were right next to a military base so maybe it was there because of the potential threat for things to go sideways in the beginning before I got there. By then it was under control and almost empty
Thanks for the video. Your drone footage was awesome along with all your other videos you squeeze into your editing. It is wild watching your recoveries. Keep up the good work. Also great to see you working with the competitors to form a great work team together. Teamwork, it works.
I love this shit.. Makes me think of my Dad. He drove tow truck for Loves Towing in Santa Barbara in the early 70s. Then drove Tow in Redwood City in the late 70s before we moved to the Antelope Valley in 1980. Then he worked for Northridge equipment rentals which afforded my brothers and I many amazing opportunities to see Movies, TV commercials, Weekly series like A Team, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight rider, and too many more to list. Plus all the aerospace at Edwards and plant 42. We got to see all the behind the scenes of everything.. He gave us an amazing childhood.. I love and Miss him so much. So yeah, I dig this channel big time. I feel like I'm 10yrs old again watching my dad work.. love it.
saw an accident today here in Ohio and the first thought (after the drivers health) was " how would Josh recover that?" it was a semi that crashed into a dis-used water tower! the cab was twisted around the water pipe and the frame was bent at a 90!
In May 1981 as a member of Camp Pendleton Fire Dept. Engine 6, we responded to a reported gas tanker off the road south bound south of the rest stop. When we arrived on scene we found a set of empty milk tanker trailers in the same exact spot as this incident. Unfortunately we found the driver ejected from the cab of the tractor deceased. We had to wait all night for the Coroner to arrive to remove his remains. Then when the tow trucks started to pull the wreckage from the canyon the batteries sparked and caught the fuel tank that was torn open on fire. This was by far the longest accident scene time that I was ever involved in.
Y'all of Y'all done a dang awesome job with this rollover Josh amazing job with the strap around the cab and that guy who put the strap around the back of the truck awesome two thumbs up 👍 👍
Crazy!! That truck looks like you could hop in and drive it home.. Most people do not appreciate the art of rigging. When the calendar comes out with the overhead shot of all those rotators, I want one.. Sign me up!! 👍
I’ve noticed that in the towing community, the different companies tend to help each other. Whether it’s working the scene together, or just sitting farther back to alert the motoring public. Great video! 👍✌️
I have been watching over 2 1/2 years now . After waking up from induced comma of 10 weeks and another 4 months in 2 other hospitals. I heard you mention that some ssay you are cocky. I would have agreed a couple years ago but as you learn more and control that attitude more toward showing your skills . I have become a huge fan and enjoy watching even more. You have come a long way on knowledge of your profession and it shows. Thank you for entertaining thus old mechanic that has been brought back 9 times in a 3 week period in jan.2021 to being able to get out and play a little golf these days.
On the video of the truck the caught on fire on the interstate I meant to comment about the fireman. When you get the firemen to give you kudos and is willing to call ‘your boss’, you’ve done something right, those men aren’t easily impressed. You must do really good work and have earned that trust when they’re willing to call your boss and tell you how good of a job you did. Thanks for sharing your videos, they’re enjoyable.
Cool video. That stretch of I-5 is just brutal on the regular, I can’t imagine being stuck in that traffic. There’s no where to go. Neat to see you guys working with another company. Not often you get to see 4 rotators working together.
Another awesome rescue, i can't believe the power of your trucks . Your knowledge of rigging the wreck properly is certainly the key to a good result. Who looks after the cleaning an polishing of your truck's and kit. Looking forward to your next video.
1203... Gasoline. Yeah, giving how flammable gasoline vapor is, that amount of precaution and hazmat team was justified. Nicely handled by all parties.
Back in the late 60s I use to drive that hwy before they widen it to what it is now. it was two lanes in both derision. there were so many wrecks. the fog would get so bad that you could not see the nose of your truck. back then it was called Slater Allie due to all the wrecks and all the people that died.

Another amazing recovery and great coordination. There looked to be zero damage from turning it back on its feet. The video footage is also top notch too.
