I find it amazing that the delivery drivers are responsible for stocking the shelves of the store. Isn't that why the store has staff for in the first place?
That's unbelievable to me. Have someone who works in the store do that sh*t. When I worked in a grocery store I had to stock shelves and run the cash register. Never heard of a truck driver stocking shelves
@@bigike9009 As someone who's trying to get into driving, I guess I'd do it to get the experience and my foot in the door. Do you know if coca cola trains their drivers?
I been with Pepsi for over 11 years and you hit it right on the spot with this video. I my self and every other driver in this location have our easy day, medium day and our hard day.
Great video. It's definitely not as easy as you make it look. As far as I'm concerned truck drivers are essential like healthcare workers, so thank you.
I applied to Pepsi as well. Thanks for this helpful video. I was debating between Pepsi or sysco/us foods but I do like the way the beverages is setup like this.
@@ItsLikeFerrari Pepsi called me first back in October of 2022. I love it. Especially with the new geo box and push sleds we use at a lot of accounts. Makes it easier from stacking onto dollies at the truck and then unstacking at the store. All beverages pre loaded and stacked onto half pallets. I love it. More efficient this way.
@larrydwash Yup I'm with Pepsi. This guy had an easy day. His truck wasn't even half-full. Most days you will be working a lot harder than this and delivering a lot more soda.
@@fittruckingtrey7862 i definitely agree on that dollar generals and family dollars are pretty easy to work especially most of the product that your bringing in is 2L, 12pks, 6pks and 8pks and everything is down 1 aisle. The only thing annoying about working those stores is when your delivering them 20oz and monsters that can get annoying because 90% of the time you have to go to different parts of the store
Facts I work for Pepsi to, dollar generals are not bad Bc u know where everything goes, it’s those lil convenience stores where shit be everywhere, it’s time consuming
We definitely stopped stocking shelves in Sacramento when the pandemic hit and haven’t gone back to it lolol. Your plant needs to figure their shit out
It's 5 days and you don't clock out until the route is done. You can finish early, or late and still get paid the same because it's commission based as your salary is how many cases you deliver.
Hey so i just hired on as a relief driver. I am scheduled to come in at 430am. Can you tell me what time you typically get off and how working with pepsi's hours has effected your personal life?
I get off no later than 4pm everyday… And the hrs can be a bit much. I find myself more tired than normal, the lifting will definitely put a strain on the body
Non-alcoholic sales have a slow season (around winter) and a heavy season (summer). During the slower season, you can expect 40-45 hrs unless there are staffing issues. During the heavier times you’ll be working 50-60 hrs. Last year we (in Dallas) were short at least 4 drivers all summer long. I don’t think I had a route manifested for under 13.5 hrs, and they were usually closer to 14.5. They were just happy if we finished our routes.
Lot different now than when I worked there in the 70's and 80's....99% back then was returnable glass bottles, with deck trucks that had to be hand loaded. All you had was a two wheeler.
I did the lifting exercise and the interview in San Diego but they ghosted me for 3 weeks then said no. I don’t have experience but then why even interview me.
7up don't give you any help. And you work 65% percent of your truck load. Work from 45 to 60 hours a week.. Starting pay is 26.00 an hour. OT after 8. Average take home is 1000 to 1200
Couple questions: Do Pepsi truck drivers need to build displays in stores like for sports events, etc.? And in situations where employees aren’t able to complete the route within DOT drive time, is there harsh punishment for that?
You’ll rarely build displays and when you do they’re not big. The huge displays you see in grocery stores are not built by the drivers… the merchandisers build those
Trey is right drivers will sometimes build tiny little displays that consist of about between 20 to 30 cases usually Gatorade or rockstars and it might just be once a month if that. Also this displays would be at gas stations. Large format stores the salesman and merchandisers take care of that.

How long you went threw training before you went on your own routes by yourself ?
Try not using the hook and just turning the pallet for your sled with the pallet jack, then grabbing the two together. I almost never used the hook.
I do the same
How long does it take them to hire after an interview? They told my cousin around 4 weeks.
thanks man starting in the picker/pallet maker roll will be trying to drive soon

Why do you fill rails to 100%, time wasted in my opinion….when I worked for Coke-50% fill
