    Hello! Thanks for the video: I just make the modification on mine by following your tutorial. Just a little modification for the hole, it was closer from 10 mm than 15 mm on my pair of Akra. Thanks man!

    Mask off your pipe in case the drill slips and do a smaller pilot hole to check you are right place before using the large drill bit. By a rubber grommet from acrapovic for the exterior hole. Just removed baffle on 2021 ninja 1000sx. Sounds great 👌🏻

    Tem que abrir a marmita, na parte de baixo, retirar a colmeia, dai sim, fico um ronco super bacana. Fiz assim na minha ninja. Tem um video no youtube que ensina.

    This was a huge help, thank u sooo much. Did exactly as you showed, it was fairly easy.
    The sound is sooo much better. That small hole on the inside everybody, just get over it. It’s really worth it.

    I can't believe I drilled my brand new akrapovic exhaust!. Why don't they made something that can be removed in a easy way... like yoshimura did.... Thanks for the great advice!!!!!

      My friend has the same akrapovic exhaust as me. His comes with a hole but mine doesn't have it. Maybe they were made in different years?

      I think it's because of regulations. They're not allowed to make it in a way that implies it is meant to be removed because it only passes the sound checks with the baffle installed.

    Can you give us the measure between the edge of the silencer and the center of the hole you made ?

    Did you not prefer a full line exhaust 4x2 or 4x1 for just a bit more expensive ?
    Great video by the way 🙂

    definitely cant tell from the video was there honestly a big enough sound difference to make it worth it?

    • @deivids47
      @deivids47 4 года назад +3

      There is a huge difference, but you will never hear it through mic, because it's low frequency. I didn't like that owner drilled hole in carbon :D Otherwise, nice hack.

  • @pinnacle_moto
    @pinnacle_moto Год назад +1

    But why?. You still have the cat in and stock mufflers so it will not sound any different until you remove them, then you will want to put the baffle back in those end pipes :)

    • @pinnacle_moto
      @pinnacle_moto Год назад

      Is that definitely a baffle? Looks like a piece of metal that just protects the carbon fibre from melting. But not you have a 15mm hole for additional exhaust ventilation.

    Plug fell in, and I can’t take off the damn baffle. I’m gonna drive and see if the heat makes it removable cuz holy crap it’s a tight A fit

  • @motojunkie8305
    @motojunkie8305 2 года назад

    Guys you don’t have to destroy your exhaust by drilling a hole in the side. Spend the $12 bucks on rivets and get a rivet gun. Then just take the cap off. Take out the baffle and remove the 8mm nut holding it in. Throw that shit in the trash and rebuild. Took me all of an hour and you can’t tell that I did anything to it.

    • @tommyb17
      @tommyb17  2 года назад

      That was my initial thought but I wanted easy access to reinstall easily without redrilling rivets every time. Your method is the better option for a permanent fix 👍

    • @tommyb17
      @tommyb17  2 года назад +1

      Keep your crappy sounding exhausts then 👌 a couple of carbon fiber round stickers and you can't tell, even without them the angle of the exhausts when refitted you can't see unless inspecting.
