It was such an emotional experience to learn about the battle of camel. The moment the battle broke out in the lecture I was in tears. That makes me feel to some extent why Hazrat Ali RA must have been in tears. Why Hazrat Talha RA must have been rushing here and there in the battle field trying to stop it. Why Hazrat Aisha RA must have cried so much so that her khimar used to get soaked whenever she was reminded of this incident. May Allah guide us all to follow Islam in the right way. Ameen
Assalamu Alaykum Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, Mashallah, I've learned a lot from your lectures and I truly want to thank you. May Allah bless your efforts and grant you the highest place in Jannah.
I have always had questions about this event. Alhamdulillah, this talk has provided me with a peace of mind. Everything was unintentional between the loved ones.
This story is a fitna Allah has subscribed to the muslims and meant to serve lessons and be in the history book of muslims. May Allah be pleased with all the mothers of believers and the sahabas. Ameen
this is the saddest event in our history. Now I know who are the people that got the wrath of Allah. I might not know them, but surely, their punishment will be upon them by Allah's will.
Long awaited AlHamdu Lilah ! Jazzaka Allah Kheir Sheikh. However, I would like to get a clarification on the matter of knowing and not knowing who are the killers of Uthman (RA). I went back and watched Episode 8: Assassination_ Finale & Aftermath in the series on Uthman (RA) just to be sure of my recollection. In that lecture Sheikh Qadhi mentioned three specific names that had entered the room, assaulted and killed Uthman (RA). Including the following: 1. Ruman Al Yamani - who assaulted Uthman (RA) with a long stick. 2. Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr - came into the room of Uthman (RA) and grabbed his beard to mock him and disrespect him and was then rebuked by Uthman (RA) on the account of his father (RA) and out of guilt he left and ran away. 3. Jibla - a large dark man from Egypt who dealt Uthman (RA) the death blow with his sword. You also mentioned that one of the Tabi'un had said that he saw most of the killers of Uthman (RA) amongst the Khawarij of Nahawand i.e. they were known to a number of witnesses on the day of the killing. So considering the above, what is the consolidation of the narrative in this lecture that the killers were not known? Please shed light on this. Also, the Sheikh mentioned that Ali (RA), after the battle of Jamal, appointed the same Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr to lead his sister's (Aisha RA) caravan back to Medina. This is baffling given the whole purpose of this whole Fitna between the Sahaba was to bring about justice to those who assaulted and killed Uthman (RA). Surely Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr's involvement in the rabble rousers that surrounded Uthman's (RA) house was known to many especially given who he is. Allahuma Musta'an. I hope Insha Allah that anyone from MIC reading this comment can make the Sheikh aware of it....Jazzakum Allah Kheir.
As for the ruffians, some say the bulk of them were killed in the battles against the khwarij, and the problem still remains that even if you knew 3-4 of the killers, finding them and tracking them 1400 years ago across the entire middle east would be next to impossible, let alone finding the 1000's of other accomplices. As for muhammad ibn abi bakr, it is understood that he was amongst those who broke in, however, because he felt ashamed after being recognized by Uthman r.a, he left before any killing could take place. Hence we don't consider him from among the killers. Plus, we cannot be certain that Ali r.a knew about his involvement, because these accounts are from either the wife of Uthman r.a or some of the tabi'un. And we cannot be certain when they published these findings, because for all we know, they could have said these things much later on in their lives. Bottom line is, it isn't fair to assume that Ali r.a had knowledge of these reports. And even if he did, given what happened, it is understandable.
“They never wanted to cause harm”. Please think about it logically. If the last thing they wanted to do was cause harm, could they not have taken just just 1 hour to refer to and reflect upon [49:6], [5:32] & [4:59]? Also I’m confused as to why you seek refuge in Allah after imposing the idea that the Sahābah could have been wrong. Were they infallible? Were they not prone to error and sin?
Salam.a, respected viewers i don't intend my comment as instigating in any way, just some dialogue. @9:35 If you are talking about track records & common sense, then Iblees (la) had the best track record of good deeds, worshipping Allah(azwj) for thousands of years. But he still turned against Allah(azwj) after all of his sacrifices. A persons sincerity is hidden, but the actions of an individual makes their inner dispositions visible. W.salam
The difference between iblees and these suhaba like you said are their actions, iblees refused to bow and kept on conspiring against the mankind whereas, Aisha RA regretted her actions afterwards, and both zubair and talha didn't participate in the battle
I'm upto 48 minutes. So far alhamdulillah I don't see anything wrong from either side. I understand the motives and I see the clarity of how the battle of the camel broke out. It shows how the killers of Uthmaan RA are the worst people to have ever lived.
@ 57:35 "Any quick question and I'm going to evade as much as possible and just gloss over because it's best not to go too deep" It's understandable that the speaker doesn't want to go too deep because if he did his whole aqeedah would crumble.
You have not listened to him carefully you idiot. He says he will not go too deep in his lecture.Naturally, he has gone way too deep to study the issue but Alhumdollilah, stands by his faith. How could he claim to go too deep without any knowledge? And guess what? He is a staaunch Ahle Sunnat!

Ali Fakhruddin there are so many reports and we can't rely on one. you and I weren't there and dont know exactly what happened. aisha R is the wife of the prophet in this life and the next
Saifullah Durrani And one who fights Ali fights Allah swt. The Prophet cleared this before he passed away. Above that Aisha was warned NoT to fight with him, yet she did. Where's your logic? How can be one so blind not to reflect on this and still assume they live happily ever after. I cannot simply put anyone close to the one Born in the Kaaba, named by Allah himself and is the Father of Imams.
Ali Fakhruddin its not as simple as that. this is the main problem you make it out to be. as though aisha went deliberately to wage war on ali? what about how ali himself said she is the prophets wife in this life and the next? what about the narration from ibn abbas himself(essentially member of ahlulbayt) telling aisha on her death bed that her innocence was revealed from the heavens, that she is the only virgin woman the prophet S married, And that she is the wife of him in this life and the next. did you even watch the video you're commenting on like this? the biggest problem from shias is that they pass judgment on sahaba and over simplify things with no real knowledge in the first place
Ali Fakhruddin aisha r herself telling the people that there is nothing between her and Ali R except small matters between a woman and family members. ali R HIMSELF agreeing to that in public and telling the audience that what she speaks is the truth, FOLLOWING up with her being the wife of the prophet in this life and the next. ali R punished those who slandered her? how dare shias today insult her??
Saifullah Durrani We don't pass judgement like that brother. We see the Quran then the Hadith and then the personalities. Tell me one thing. If the holy prophet predicts someone going to Jannah, and then that guy rapes, murders and creates a havoc in the society, do you still out of ur senses think he will? How to judge? By the Quran. And that's what we do. When it comes to Ahlul Bayt, we see no further than the Quran. As for sunnis, they mainly rely on Hadith. As for you mentioning Aisha's innocence, don't forget it's the same Aisha Allah asks the Prophet to get divorced so that she would give him better wives, believing wives and virgin wives.. Explore the Quran and read Surah at Tahreem for goodness sake.
You said @32+min "Ayesha (Ra) said to Qaqa (RA) - WE HAVE COME TO SEEK REVENGE FOR THE DEATH OF UTHMAN (RA)." Why Yasir Qadhi doesn't wear a skullcap? He's giving a sermon in a Mosque doesn't make sense. If he's trying to be fashionable and modern no one is impressed.
Hassanain M Perhaps so (although it is well known Sunnah to cover your head). Point is in Islamic culture (not law) it is highly encouraged, way of being identified as a Muslim. Now if a person is in the position of being an imam or khateeb he should pay a lot more attention to such things than an ordinary Muslim like you or me.
Hassanain M The evidence is that the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihi wasallam) used to cover his head and also his Companions hence it is a Sunnah. Do you deny this fact? Similarly it is narrated that the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihi wasallam) entered into Mecca adorned with a black turban. I'm wondering this same exact thing, specifically the part about Mohammed in abu bakr. If someone could answer this it would be helpful.
also was Muhammad ibn abi Bakr interrogated as to who were the killers of Uthman (RA) ?
They died and got punished by Allah
As for the ruffians, some say the bulk of them were killed in the battles against the khwarij, and the problem still remains that even if you knew 3-4 of the killers, finding them and tracking them 1400 years ago across the entire middle east would be next to impossible, let alone finding the 1000's of other accomplices.
