- Stinger lock is broke again, after trying to back out of the drive way and get turned around so I can load up the 336E after working in the river, so I turned around on his precious grass and got back to the yard and fixed it

One shouldn't make enemies out of their local heavy equipment operator/contractor. The next time you need heavy equipment work, you may be shocked to find out people have good memories and people talk. (and video is forever) Believe it or not, grass re-grows.

Jeff if you need a carbon arc I thinkI have one out in my shop, I think it was made in 1865. If you want it let me know. Granted it came from Ca, but so was I , Local 3 in NorCal.

Here in Pittsburgh, PA. Maybe 30 years ago now. There was this Heavy Equipment contractor. He and his wife built a giant beautiful home.$$$$$. Well, there marriage went south...The judge awarded the wife the house. She dillydally getting back home after the court case. By that time; the husband had enough time to take a D9 to the house. leveled it.

Secondly , as an engineering business owner of some 40 years now on heavy fabrication work im going to award you 9.8 out of ten for that repair. Id have done exactly as you did. I believe i would have mabe a new stinger lock plate out of a piece of solid 1 in plate to start with and could of cut out to wrap around the boss that holds the swivel pin. Looking good though

If the driveway is the right of way and not the grass, I would take the 9 with extra tall grousers from the road to the river.
I love city folk in the country! How is Idaho right of way in Kentucky it’s minimum 50ft each way from the center line of the highway. That was mostly changed in the 50s and 60s a lot of fences are closer to the road than that based off the old standard which I believe was 25ft. Occasionally the state comes thru and rips out a fence when they are working on the road and people get super pissy about it and the state says too bad it’s on our property 😂
well here my deed says I own to the middle of the road but the county has a right of way and I can't put stuff in that riglht of way, all the new deeds only come to the edge of the right of way but people are still filling in the ditches and planting grass to the pavement and watering the road because our county road dept. is run by three county commissioners who are paid well, have a public retirement and the best medical insurance, so every decision is made from the standpoint of "will this get me re-elected"
Dang Jeff, when it rains, it pours. Appreciate the videos, but no more right turns and then a switchback to the left when you are high speed driving. You're totally right about not making things like they used to. My father still uses a corded drill, grinder and welder given to him by his father in the 1950's. They're as solid as a rock but you have to have the muscles to take the torque. I bought a new Milwaukee cordless drill a few years ago it lased about 6 months before the trigger started giving delayed response issues. I hate that space gun toy look they go for nowadays too. Fucking rubbish what they build these days.
Copper sheet under that lock plate an 6010 for the root pass..7018 the rest…js..don’t ever bother w 8018 or higher rod the steels junk a36 or a50 it’s good it breaks only that..🎉🎉🎉 cheers

I had to comment on the welder. You are right on about the chip crap made today. I bought 4 of those Lincoln welders at auction came out of a mill In W. VA. Power sources for an pipe seam welding line running 24 /7.I think they are the highest amperage 1ph machines made. Any way tried to resale em to recouped some of my investment. No takers everyone wants Chinese inverter crap from Hobo Freight. Try and get parts for one of those in 10 yrs. Short sighted throw away society.

Hay Jeff put a Borgeson steering box on my 1999 dodge 2500 Holly 💩that had to be one of the best things that ever did to the old girl. 313 K miles This is the third box. This is better than NEW. Thanks for the share info 👍👍.

Any way to put an air bag in the rear trailer suspension so that if the trailer is unloaded and you want to back the trailer with the stinger locked but slightly lifted from the ground the air bag could be aired up and would lift on the stinger?
it has air ride but this is a mechanical booster all the weight of the trailer is at the pivot point just under the beaver tail, I've done some videos of how it works, would be nice to have a single trailer for times like this

from what you said in an older video this was a prototype setup that is what like 20 years old it maybe time to look in get a new because it seems you have had to put in a lot of work on this trailer
I think Jeff mentioned the buy new/fix old paid for…, in a previous video (awhile back)… To replace with new was pretty “spendy”.., and Jeff has his trusty faithful ace in the hole welder “Jake”, on the payroll. “Jake” is good man to have around.

Ask the fellow if he understands the Eminent Domain laws . If he is foolish enough to cause a problem with the publics access to or maintenance of the delivery system he may find himself being told where and when you may access the easements associated with his title to the property.

I think the guy that didn’t want your equipment on his grass. Drove by your junk yard, saw what it looked like, oil on the ground, trash and junk all over. He just figured on the road the county had more force for a EPA cleanup, than he did. Keep your junk yard on your property, not his
