I'm living vicariously through your epic journey and keep Tracker up and running so that I can check your progress daily. It's a shame that this race isn't getting the media coverage it deserves.

I have never ever been on a sailboat my entire life BUT this weekly documentary series combined with the onboard reporting and the massively sympathetic team Malizia (On board as well as On land), make me want to skip my day job, buy a boat and start sailing. I will start on my local pond though, before heading to the Southern Ocen! 😂
Another excellent Episode, although I am watching the current youtube material the Malizian episodes is always a Highlight and its so nice to get also some content from the shore team and how funny to see the origins of the sailors, brilliant idea to prepare that. Its also impressing how you mix the highlights and the dark moments of this adventure. Compared to the other teams you really stand far out in terms of enabling us being more than just a viewer from the distance. And, please continue the podcast, its getting a pleasant part of my daily routines.😁
The spooky cut at 17:10min from the cozy, warm oven in Rosies family house to the cold freezing blue hour in the middle of the southern ocean was amazing!

@@carstenbehrendt8005 well done Carsten. 2015 i made a seakayak trip in norway. In the middle of the foggy Sogjnefyord i realized that under my very small boat was nothing as a 1200m deep abyss. Sure, its not the same to be in the misanthropic southern ocean but it give you a feeling how little we are as a single human in comparison to the power of nature.
I've been a sailor for many years as well as a racer. So the Ocean Race is one of my all time pleasures to follow. I'm a big "follow your dreams" kinda guy. Always have been always will be. Hey Rosie, what a story about following your dreams. Wow, just wow... I look forward every morning to looking at the tracker and see what has been going on since the previous evening... Another great episode ... great storytelling and if it so much fun to see all of the boats close. AND, I subscribed to the podcast days ago, but only listened today after this episode ... podcast 9 which is fun. I hope to listen to the others. But highly recommend the podcast - so much fun and Boris has some great albatross commentary. I learned so much from Boris during Vendee Globe 2020: islands, geography, animals, ocean and sailing. AND in the podcast Boris tells about other boat's crews and their sponsors ... super gracious. "special connections at sea" ... that is part of the draw for me.

I did sail single handed around the world, and i am as amazed and impressed about what the malizians and the other teams are doing and about the footage as well. Even though the fears and feeling are similar( like falling overboard, learning about yourself and extending your limits), the achievement of them is is hard to comprehend. Congrats and ty for sharing it that well 😂
I like the Team Malizia. All members are great and it is a pleasure to follow you around the world. Maybe you have time and the mood to explain some theoretical background topics? What is different in comparison to other sailing boats? How does the trimming of the board works? What is your philosophy: Be the fastest or be careful and a bit conservative? What is the favourite wind direction (half, in front of the wind, ...) and why? It is so exiting to see you fighting but I dint understand everything, because I'm a sailor on local lake only :-( Fingerst crossed, you will be the favourite Team at the end!!!

So exciting. It is amazing the pounding the boat and crew survives. You present a very real perspective of what racing at super high speeds in the southern ocean in a state of the art sail boat is like.
Ich werde im Juli eine Motorradtour von München nach Genua machen! Nachdem ich das Rennen seit dem ersten Tag begeistert verfolge, finde ich es spannend, bei den Ankunft dabei zu sein. Zumindest vielleicht in Sichtweite. Als Zuseher wird man von Eurem Team aufs herzlichste Eingeladen, an diesem Abenteuer auch emotional teilzunehmen. ❤ Man lernt die Charaktere kennen, News abzuholen wird zum vertrauten Ritual. Ich habe zwei Segel-Träume: auf einer J-Class und einer IMOCA mitsegeln. Sorry für die Reihenfolge Boris! 😂

Congratulations to all teams. Fascinating race between Malizia and 11th hour as if being on a triangle. Hop Suisse to Holcim. The Netherland produce fantastic girls like Rosie the sailor or Noraly as Itchy Boot on her bike around the world.
The quality of life aboard Malizia is superior. I noted the Soda stream co2 fizz machine, perhaps better hydration of the crew may help elevate spirits. From Sing alongs to puppet shows, it’s a Party bus !

Your media style and output is outstanding, certainly a new level in sailing sport, your team and Boris took it from where Alex put the bar ( internationally ) on a new level @last Vendee and now you enhance narration to what it means to achieve things with a TEAM. Another great episode ... great storytelling and if it so much fun to see all of the boats close. AND, I subscribed to the podcast days ago, but only listened today after this episode ... podcast 9 which is fun. I hope to listen to the others. But highly recommend the podcast - so much fun and Boris has some great albatross commentary. I learned so much from Boris during Vendee Globe 2020: islands, geography, animals, ocean and sailing. AND in the podcast Boris tells about other boat's crews and their sponsors ... super gracious. "special connections at sea" ... that is part of the draw for me.

Hey Team Malizia, it is so wonderful that you allow us to be with you in your tiny space on board of the boat. I smile and cry with you, trying to imagine the dark moments and enjoying the fun ones, e.g. up in the rig or with epic drone shots. I do not get to sleep without checking on you guys, thanks for taking us along! I would be super interested about the mental prep you got and how it helps you under way and how you take decisions on board. Does Boris always have the last word, do you sometimes vote? I did sail single handed around the world, and i am as amazed and impressed about what the malizians and the other teams are doing and about the footage as well. Even though the fears and feeling are similar( like falling overboard, learning about yourself and extending your limits), the achievement of them is is hard to comprehend. Congrats and ty for sharing it that well 😂

Maybe you have time and the mood to explain some theoretical background topics? What is different in comparison to other sailing boats? How does the trimming of the board works? What is your philosophy: Be the fastest or be careful and a bit conservative? What is the favourite wind direction (half, in front of the wind, ...) and why?
It is so exiting to see you fighting but I dint understand everything, because I'm a sailor on local lake only :-(

Ich werde im Juli eine Motorradtour von München nach Genua machen! Nachdem ich das Rennen seit dem ersten Tag begeistert verfolge, finde ich es spannend, bei den Ankunft dabei zu sein. Zumindest vielleicht in Sichtweite. Als Zuseher wird man von Eurem Team aufs herzlichste Eingeladen, an diesem Abenteuer auch emotional teilzunehmen. ❤ Man lernt die Charaktere kennen, News abzuholen wird zum vertrauten Ritual. Ich habe zwei Segel-Träume: auf einer J-Class und einer IMOCA mitsegeln. Sorry für die Reihenfolge Boris! 😂

The quality of life aboard Malizia is superior. I noted the Soda stream co2 fizz machine, perhaps better hydration of the crew may help elevate spirits. From Sing alongs to puppet shows, it’s a Party bus !
