Quick question though; on the switch pro controller, the A and B buttons are swapped. So will the A button on the Xbox controllers be mapped to B, or will A just map to the A button? Also the quality of your videos are top, keep it up, you deserve more subs!
Just saw your comment. The layout will be the same as a Nintendo controller. So, A on a xbox controller will be B in your game.

Just tested this with an xbox one controller still works. I found It easier to remap the buttons on the Switch settings once connected compared to the PC software.
Can I use the Xbox adaptor used for PC or does it have to be the specific Switch one?

the fact that i've had a bluetooth adapter this whole time and didn't even see that the switch docking station has usb ports!!! the cheap controller i've been using for the switch has started having some major stick drift and i was so sad i couldn't use my xbox one. i'll definitely be trying this later, you're a lifesaver! thank you so much!

Hey, yes, it works. Just tried it to be sure. I could remap A to A, B to B, Y to Y, X to X.
I know he already answered, I just want to add that when you map the buttons, it changes the software within the controller itself, so no matter which adapter you use, like the brook wingman XE 2 or this one, the remapping should work.

Yeah you did everything right. Don’t bother with most expensive controllers and joy cons if you already have an Xbox controller.

One xbox controller per adapter. So, you will need 2 adapters for 2 controller, unfortunately. :(((
I have had pro controller wired connection on, and i used a usb to usb-c adapter to plug in my controller but it would not work

I'm guessing how it works is the connector on the switch end believes that the device connected is a pro controller, while the xbox controller side makes the controllers believe that the device they are connected to is an xbox. Considering there is only one physical connection it could only count as one, but technically speaking an xbox can connect to two controllers at once so aside from possibly the console determining that there is only one device connected, there should be no issue with connecting two. If you purchase two ports and connect them both separately, there definitely should not be an issue, however that does obviously require purchasing two ports which can be expensive, and you can only use this method attached to the dock or something similar.

And even tho it's expensive (+$20), it's worth it. Can't wait to feel the Xbox controller! :3

You can use more than one, however if you want to connect 8 xbox controller you'll need a Microsoft adapter

I’m sorry. I made a mistake. I thought you are talking about connecting them to PC.
With Switch you can connect only one Xbox controller. So, one controller per adapter. If you want more, you will need joy cons or pro controllers. I tried connecting two Xbox controllers and it didn’t work.

Yes it will. If I understand you correctly. When you press the button it goes to the “connection mode”. No matter was it already connected to Nintendo, xbox or pc.

@@Ryan-is-me well fellow Ryan I decided to buy it and the answer is you can connect multiple controllers, but sadly only one can be used at a time (on the bright side, though, you can use your joy, cons as controllers, with your Xbox controller so you technically still have two good controllers, or one good controller, and two small controllers)

@@MaxDendy thanks/personally I like it quite a bit and definitely don't regret buying it (the only down side is the letters on the switch and Xbox controllers are slightly different so it took some time until my brain got used to it)
