Oh wow that has seriously just made my evening. 😊 I’m constantly feeling so scruffy lately. I had my hair cut just before my birthday and it’s so short and just not lying correctly. I won’t even start on feeling hot and sweaty from the humidity and age related!!!! Honestly that means so much you’re so kind ❤
@nanwithabackpack know you are on a budget, but please give yourself a bit of comfort lol. Have been to Siem Ream twice. Magical place. We are out in Thailand at Xmas and again at Easter
@@gazefc1552 I have my next couple of places already booked but I will definitely put it towards a private room in Malaysia. I’m hoping to be able to head to a beach when I’m there. 🏖️
@@sukikom2259 thank you for your kind wishes. The children were wonderful so happy so clever and their smiles were beautiful. It’s me that is blessed and has to thank them for allowing me to be part of their day. I was honoured.
Saw your video with Austin and absolutely love your way of thinking. Happy belated birthday, Sonja! I'm a Cambodian living in London. So when you're back in the UK and miss the Cambodian smile, hit me up. I'll bring the warm smile to beat the chill.
@@abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz-007 omg that’s so sweet thank you 🙏 I had to leave Cambodia to do a border run. I thought that rather than leaving and going straight back, I would visit a couple of places that I’ve not been before in Malaysia. I can’t believe how much I’m missing Cambodia already. I am really looking forward to returning.
yes I’m definitely 100% heading there when I return. Also I will be able to travel there light as I will leave my non essentials at my apartment. I really am looking forward to returning. 😊
# Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you.......# Hope you had a great day. A cold beer and some birthday cake with friends. Really wish you all the very best, and many more years of travel. Have loved watching your videos thanks so much for sharing.....
I want to retire there. I love the place. I hope it keeps its charm and not developed further; I really don't like phnom penh because of it. However, i don't mind cleaner water and restroom.
Yes it’s a lovely place but for me it’s the people that give it its charm. They really are the kindest people I have met on my travels. I can’t wait to head back. ☺️
Lovely video! I volunteered at Big Sister Mouse school in Luang Prabang for a day. It was exhausting! The good thing was that the resources they have made for English were very good (I was a uni lecturer in English as a foreign language) but I didn’t like that the kids wanted to hug and touch me all the time. That’s not the Asian way and as we were not screened at all I can see how that could lead to problems. I wonder who has encouraged the kids to do that! It’s great to volunteer, you see so much more of the local life.😊
@@rachel.please3929 he was walking home turned around and came back. I didn’t know what he was saying but I have been told he asked if he could give me a hug 🤗. @@nanwithabackpack There’s a huge problem with child sexual abuse in Cambodia. I’ve read about cases where paedophiles have been arrested working in orphanages. That’s where Gary Glitter was deported from! It’s so sad in poor countries where children have so little protection! I feel for you missing your grandchildren, I’ve got 6 and looked after all of mine this summer. I’m very excited to go travelling for 2 months in January though!
@@rachel.please3929 snap I have 6 as well. I didn't know about that oh how awful I really don't understand how some people are so......
