Patrick is more Khmer than me, a Khmer Canadian who's never back to Cambodia yet. I still can speak Khmer because of my family and community here in Canada. I went to live and work in the USA for many years too. I'm planning to return to Cambodia one day and hope that I'll adapt to my culture of origin. I love your videos and Cambo vlogs, too. Patrick is giving me hope along with a few Canadians expats too.
I highly encourage you to there on a trip. You will appreciate your culture and country of origins more. It will open this part of you you never knew existed.

I remembered there was an American family near my house in Kampot. I grew up seeing Patrick and his family speaking fluent khmer around the town.
