I prefer the tilt. It’s so much better when shooting with a camera strap. Not only that, so many sports photographers prefer this. This is not for RUclips vloggers. I thought I’d like my a7siii flippy screen over my a7iii tilt but I only like it when I’m shooting portrait. For video where I’m filming weddings, landscapes, etc. I vastly prefer tilt. It’s not even a “it’s kinda nice” it’s literally a dealbreaker in certain situations, especially when gimbal mounted.
But portrait shooters use it and i need a screen for different angles. A cam without flipout cant do it. There is a reason canon cameras have it, no one cares about vlogging but try low angle portrait shots without lay on the floor with a non flipout.. good luck!

Just for anyone wondering, H.265 420 files can be decoded with acceleration on the GPU with most moden GPUs. H.265 422 currently can NOT be decoded using GPU acceleration. That's why Canon R5 8K 422 footage is slow and difficult to edit on most machines, while this 8K 420 footage is mostly fine.
I can feel myself slipping into this endless vortex of gear reviews and tutorials on how to make a video about making video about making video... Hot take on the flip vs tilt screen: photographers seem to usually prefer the tilt screen over the flippy screen (although I agree it’s ridiculous that it doesn’t articulate in portrait orientation), and I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony considers a flip LCD to be specifically a Vlogger/RUclipsr feature, and that this camera is far more expensive and feature-rich than [most] vloggers/RUclipsrs would want or need in the first place, especially considering how solid the A7SIII and A7C are. Hmmm what about its ruggedness and weatherproofing? Will it stand up to the harshness of the weather like the Canon 1dxs and the Nikon D4's will?? If you are saying it will compete with it then why was that not included? I get the features but will it stand up?
If you were shooting pictures for video, you could use Luminar for out of this world special effects!!! I think I said that before.
11:09 that's not a down side Matti that's a feature. Not everyone cares or wants a flip out screen. Atleast I don't. This camera isn't meant for vlogger it's meant for people who sit behind the camera. For e.g. Sony a7III had same screen and it sold more than Canon Eos R which had flip screen.
Dude it looks like you went all in on sony.
