I would!!! (watch one of your videos that was super long) I don't embroider, I wish I did, but I absolutely love watching you! You voice is so soft and soothing. If I'm having a panic attack I put on one of your videos and your voice calms me down. I get lost for however long your video is. Great video!!! My MIL was a Spaniard​ master embroiderer for nuns in Morocco, she was so good she was in charge of embroidering all the sheets and towels (cotton an linen fabrics) for newlyweds. She taught me the basics of embroidery, but sadly I decided to knit instead. She had a big wooden hoop with feet called the Drum and she liked to wrap a piece of clean cotton fabric around the external part of the hoop to keep the fabric taut and clean at the same time. So, thank you for bringing back good and sweet memories of my mother in law!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I LOVE this pattern and colors. I was hoping you would demo one of the 6 petal flowers, even though it is satin stitch. I would like to see how you make the petals meet in the middle without too much bulk. Such beautiful work!

Hello Debby sorry about that I hadn't thought to include it! I make sure that my stitches are not all converging in the center, just the center stitch of each petal - which is still 6 stitches! Sometimes I stagger those a bit, too. Keep the stitches in each petal parallel to each other and just keep those outer stitches shorter. Hmmm....this is why videos are easier, huh?

I am definitely a stabber. How are you holding your hoop since you are using both hands to stitch? Another video to cover that? If you are using a washout marker, is it necessary to follow the lines exactly when you Satin Stitch? Do you ever use a waste knit?

You could stitch on a larger hoop than what comes with the kit and then finish it with the smaller hoop. Do you ever use a thread finisher like Thread Heaven?

I think that you did a great job stitching that awkward leaf at the top corner of the E. Mine definitely would not have turned out even that good.. Loved seeing your cat too!

How do you measure a hoop? I have access to Fred Meyer and JoAnn’s. I bought the preprinted fabric, not to whole Kit. Are the lines water erasable?

Tip: When you separate the strands of floss, hold the very END of the bunch furthest from the place you are pulling so your arms are about a foot apart. Pinch very tightly and slowly pull out your thread, you will get zero tangling! 😘

i was asked to do a denim pillow with embroidery. i found that my pattern did not iron transfer from the red pencil. Is there a better way? I am just beginning to get my stash together for embroidery and quilting. I am somewhat terrified by failure. I want this butterfly to be beautiful.
