Just got a call from one of my friends asking me if I know how to transfer a design on material to embroider it. So I went on U tube and found your video I was so happy to send her your video. She call me back so so happy 😀 about your video and said that’s exactly what I was looking for. So thank you and please continue your good work. 👍
Your video is terrific! It's short, sweet and to the point and keeps the viewers attention. I'm a newbie to embroidery and I've been looking for a way to transfer the pattern. The Sulky Stick N Stitch looks like a winner! Thank you for your video!
This is a new hobby for me. I am just starting. I am trying to gather everything I need so that I can get started. This is a nice video. I learned about the stick to fabric choice. Thank you
Thank you for explaining this so well. I’m new to embroidery and just love it! Have watched many tutorials but I find yours easy to understand and very comprehensive. Please continue your great work!
I used to draw freehand on my fabric with a pencil. This looks much easier. Thank you. I’m just starting embroidery as I used to cross stitch and found this really helpful.
Thank you! I just started embroidery a few weeks ago and came across your video this morning and what a video to wake up to!! You just made transferring so much easier for me, I have been really struggling with that part of it and trying to figure out and "easier way" and you provided it. Have a great day, Alyssa!
I wasn't sure how to transfer a pattern to fabric, but you cured that. I don't have a printer, but the Sulky Stick & Stitch is a great item to use. Think i see a printer/copier in my future.😏
If you don't have a printer you can transfer the pattern by hand using the light from your window or some lamp, it's pretty transparent and you can see the lines through it.
I'm so happy I found your channel. Your video was so enjoyable to watch and really thorough. I had never heard of the stick and stitch product before. Very fun! Thank you.
I would like to see that erasable pen, & maybe a sample of the Sulky transfer paper in the bundle, Needles, thread, Oh, and your cute stork scissors too!!
Thanks for video. I am an artist and fortunate enough to have the ability to draw freehand and embroider over my designs. I came across your video and was fascinated indeed. Your other videos where you organized your floss was the first one that attracted me because it reminded me of what I do-LOL! I love making "paint boxes" with my floss, too!🎨Much continued success!
I was watching another one of your tutorials, and accidentally left it (I tried to thank you for mentioning the sulky totally stable iron on tear away stabilizer in regards to transferring artwork to fabric). I was hoping you could refer me back to that video. BTW it was a live tutorial as I could see folks were commenting during your session. I appreciate your attention to detail! I am learning a lot from you!!
Is it this one, Janet? ruclips.net/video/xO1wkwHchSA/видео.html&lc=Ugw2P90XDWfkkKg4-pN4AaABAg I use Sulky's Stick'n Stitch (formerly Sticky Fabri-Solvy) a whole bunch. It definitely pops up in other videos as well.
I would love to see a few different size needles with instructions. Oh yeah and a cute little needle keeper with Penguin and Fish on the front and you know the rest. Have a great day! Thanks for all your hard work .
This video was great ! Thank you for sharing❣️ your little kit’s are perfect , but for a beginner kit I would add a option maybe of the little scissors , a needle threader , a chart of different needles sizes and uses, the Faber solve for transfer Or a washable Pen , Just for the tools of a beginner I would think, oh if you had a deferent sizes of needles , a cool tool for needles are a vial to keep them in 😊
one other tip you can also use a soft toothbrush to brush it off in the water i do it and it works as well and really get the stick off from between the stitches .
Love your work Alyssa- you make it look so easy and fun! I echo what others have said about needle size primer (I know I have needles that I certainly don't know what size they are or what their purpose is). Not that you want too many options but maybe a "build your own kit" where people can add the variety of items they want? That would also let you be flexible with patterns, people have lots of different tastes with that and some might want a hoop and others a tea towel? Can't wait to see what you come up with- no doubt it will be adorable! And I am reminded i have the hedgehog somewhere and MUST work on him!!! Best wishes!
These are great suggestions, Merrilee. I love the idea of a variety kit and a special needle back of different needles. Those are both going on my list for new product idea. Thanks!
For the supply bundle: ditto on comments already made.. what needle to use based on fabric and thread used. Have been looking in Joann's for your kits - nothing yet. Like your designs as they are simple with basic stitches yet so very elegant..am specially swayed by all your animals. Will get your cats when the kits are at Joann's - among others of course! I purchased a large light box to transfer my designs and it makes it that much easier to trace than using a window as I had before. Thank you for sharing your talents with us! Cheers!!
you ask what would I like in a bundle. I would love something a bit more modern and racy. I was never interested in embroidery, always thought of it as an old fashioned craft, even though im crafty and make a lot of my own products. But a few years ago I got interested but yet have done anything except buy thread and needles. And what got me interested was an embroidered pillowcase a saw of a women's naked curves from upper thigh to mid waist with her female "part" being covered with a burst of flowers. Iv been intrigued ever since would love to do something of this sort. Sure im not alone in this
Hey Alyssa 🤗 I ‘m brand new to your channel.. I came across your embroidery video... oh yes do a fun beautiful embroidery beginners kit.. I was trying to trace a pattern with a tea 🍵 cup and pot on a tea towel... that I got for Christmas gift . I got 12 different tea towels with patterns for each one .. wow what a surprise on me to learn to. Hand 🧵 embroidery....when I came across your great video.. great job .. Thanks for your help .. Blessing 👩🌾
I recommend Tulip needles as they are very strong and glide through fabrics easily. I have just started to use them and find they don't bend with use. Also needle case to keep them in like diff page for diff needles!!!! Not heard of stick n stitch. Would like to try. Scissor keeper would b great item to stitch to match case maybe
Hello! I'm wondering if I use a stick and stitch on a sweatshirt, will I still need to use a stck-on stabiliserr on the back? or will that be too thick to stitch through? Thank you!!
How can I get a pattern to the picture behind you,, and thr 2 birds with the tea cup? Lovr your designs and trying to collect as many as I can afford. Love your shows, and how you teach us what to do and the reasons for doing what you teach.
Hi! The truth is I am completely new to embroidery so at this point any information for me is important! One question I have is the type of fabric that is best for this craft, hoping we can find it here in Chile! Thanks for all what you share!
Usually it is recommended to use 100% cotton. I have also heard back from an embroiderer in South America who uses Panama cotton cloth. It looked like a heavier cloth. I would like to know what kind of cloth specifically she is using, too! Hope this helps. Also, I just read where she commented on someone else’s reply that she likes cotton muslin.
What kind and size needle do you use? ALSO - the needle threaders i purchased continually break - ugh. Is there a tool that is more sturdy for threading the needle?
A small pair of scissors, a pack of embroidery needles, a needle threader, a pin cushion for threaded needles, a six inch clear ruler with a magnifier down the center of the ruler, a transfer pen/pencil, a leather thimble because it fits most sizes, a small simple pattern like a flower or the sun with rays, and a small suggestion booklet suggesting type of fabric, thread, colors and/or uses, a 4-6 inch hoop and a short list of web sites where other patterns or information can be found.
I really would like that machine to use in kutura garments that are so small and they make holes in the paper to transfer it to the fabric Do you know where I can get them please I need your help his leaves are natural that is the one I'm looking for
Thank you so much for this video! How can we transform a scan of a simple pencil drawing into a formal computer image like yours? Do you trace it with Adobe Illustrator?
Yup. that's how I do it. I'll draw it on paper or on the Ipad, then I'll bring the sketch into illustrator. I trace it line by line with the pen tool making any adjustments along the way.
No, but it doesn't need to be. You stitch right through it and then it dissolves in water. So you can use a dark fabric or any other fabric that's hard to trace that's ok if it gets wet.
I am relatively new to embroidery, and I am still uncertain about what needles to use with what threads. I also use a light fusible interfacing behind my fabric so that my darker threads don't show through the front. I guess what I am thinking about is a little (very basic) primer (or a chart) on needles, threads and fabrics along with a couple different needles and small amounts of various thread types. Must include the erasable pen (love that puppy), small scissors or thread snips, a simple pattern, and fabric to sew it on.
A simple (not cartoonish) (maybe a sweet flower) pattern with a little bit of sulky to try. What needle with what thread and on what fabric. Like muslin, quilting cotton etc. Hoop (4" - 6"), needle threader, 3-4 different size needles, ten basic beginners stitches to work on pattern(s). Does transferring to sulky require an ink jet printer?
Hi I'm so obsessed with the frozen film . Both elsa and anna. I always think of ideas to stitch elsa mainly by embroidery. So can suggest some ideas to make it look like perfect and magical?. Hope you would answer me!
When stitching Sunday- Saturday do you do those all the same color? I have Shaggy Maggie chores, on days of the week.Thought I might do the framework about days in wood tone and do letters in color in outfit, or should they all be the same?
I think it would look very cute all the same color or different colors. I like the idea of a wood tone border. There's definitely no right or wrong answer. I think they'll look cute no matter what.
Found the stick and stitch on Amazon for a little over a dollar per sheet so it is not real economical. (for me) Does anyone know of a more feasible price for it?
Thanks for telling us about Stick N Stitch. Love the concept!
Thank you for I am a Beginner 71 years young and I am glad I subscribed to yourchannel
That fluffy towel trick is GENIUS! ❤

Just a point worth mentioning - when using stick n stitch, always wash and dry your fabric before you begin. This avoids the problem of shrinkage.

TY for the informative video. I 'd like to know what side of the stick and stitch paper is up when you load it into the printer.

Thanks so much..Great video and I love the fact that you can just print your pattern Such a time saver
For sure my fav way of transferring pdf patterns. So easy!
Technique transfert super👍
That Sulky stuff is great. I'd add a sample of that to the bundle and a stitch remover (because some of us take out as many stitches as we put in).
Thanks for sharing this information, it is very helpful.
Thank you so much for the information!
Beautiful art work.
Very helpful! Thank you

Hello! I'm wondering if I use a stick and stitch on a sweatshirt, will I still need to use a stck-on stabiliserr on the back? or will that be too thick to stitch through? Thank you!!
what would you use to transfer design to tulle or organza fabric?
Does the stick and stitch work for more finely drawn patterns? Thank you

Hey! I just started on embroidery! Can you please tell me what kind of fabric you used for this work?

How many sheets does the stitch n stick bring for printing?
Merci beaucoup really good tips and simple

Jesus Christ you were the only one explaining this clearly understandable
Lord thank you and bless you
Can you transfer, what you have embroiderd to a dress or Shirt? And how 🤔
This is so great! Can I still use interfacing while using the stick and stitch paper?
Yup! It shouldn't affect the interfacing at all.
How do we get a design inside another design like the flowers on cup?
Thank you so much for this video! How can we transform a scan of a simple pencil drawing into a formal computer image like yours? Do you trace it with Adobe Illustrator?
Yup. that's how I do it. I'll draw it on paper or on the Ipad, then I'll bring the sketch into illustrator. I trace it line by line with the pen tool making any adjustments along the way.
Penguin & Fish thank you so much for the reply!

Can you do the same thing of transferring with the Sulky sheet for cross-stitches?
the stick and stitch is interesting, does it come in black fabric
No, but it doesn't need to be. You stitch right through it and then it dissolves in water. So you can use a dark fabric or any other fabric that's hard to trace that's ok if it gets wet.

Hi
I'm so obsessed with the frozen film . Both elsa and anna. I always think of ideas to stitch elsa mainly by embroidery.
So can suggest some ideas to make it look like perfect and magical?.
Hope you would answer me!
You could add some metallic embroidery floss. That would make hair and snowflakes look super sparkly!
I’m totally newbie here but I just want tools and advise on how to transfer tiny doodle designs on my handmade linen letter pouch purses
Can we left it in the water for overnight? Can we wash it in a washing machine?
So the thread you use will cover the tracing lines? Love the Stick and Stitch concept but costly..ty what size needles do u use?
Can the second technique be used on embellishment? Or do you have a easier recommendation:)
When stitching Sunday- Saturday do you do those all the same color? I have Shaggy Maggie chores, on days of the week.Thought I might do the framework about days in wood tone and do letters in color in outfit, or should they all be the same?
