Happy Fountain Pen Day! This was a very interesting video, I enjoyed hearing your story of the start of your pen journey. I’m glad you found a second pen to replace the lost initial pen. That ink is my favorite brown, I agree it does look like a rich chocolate.

Wow! My first good pen was also purchased in 1987. I had just graduated from rabbinical school, and wanted a better pen with a gold nib. I also went into a small shop in Manhattan and bought a Parker 75. Mine was in black lacquer and came with a piston converter. I still have it and use it today.

That's a nice pen and ink combo. I also enjoyed your fountain pen back-story.

Beautiful pen. Began with a 75 at high school graduation in 1974. Still have it!

I have a complete set of the Parker 75 in the same tortouise lacquer finish. The set includes the fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint. i used Roting brown ink until it was no longer imported in the U.S., then I switched to Private Reserve Cocolate ink.
This is my first gold nib pen which I used for several years and like yourself went down the rabbit hole on collecting pens.
I write small and my Parker 75 has a extra fine nib but since I discovered Salior/Pilot extra fine nibs my Parker sees very little use.
    Thanks for another enjoyable review.

I have a Parker 75 ciselle sterling silver, 18km nib. Without the adjustable nib unit. I really love this pen, but it tends to dry out quickly - I think the cap clutch or something is a bit loose and needs replacing so it doesn't seal fully. Don't know how to fix that... but for me the pen that started it is a Pelikano M nib, which I still have but only used for a short time til I started accumulating other pens. Happy 100 episode and thanks for all your wonderful reviews!

This video brought back memories. I used this pen way back in the 1990s. I have just taken it out of its box and inked it up.

Beautiful pen. I have one just like it, only the point is broad. Absolutely fantastic writer, as all of the 75s are great writers

Love the pen. Would like to see it write with that mocha ink. It would've been funny if you got the pen from ebay, twisted it open and inside was the squeeze converter after all these years

I do like that brown! I also like the Honus Wagner infield brown from Birmingham pen co.

Without expanding Stephens ego, I'm curious as to how old your bottle of SBREBrown is. Is it a recent purchase or did you buy back when it was introduced? Thanks!
