Hey thanks man! We felt like we can't be the only ones out there that want to know how some of these "budget" forks look, feel, and perform. Thanks for the support man and we have yet another fork review coming out in the morning👍.
If you replace the grease in the fork with sram butter or equivalent and add some foam rings, it will really boost the the performance of this fork for little $. I would love to see a new rating after that!
I haven't heard anyone say "kick rocks!" since I was a kid growing up in old prison movies. Loved it;) Loved seeing you on the e-bike again Wolfman. If you want the fork to feel better on the small hits you can drop the lowers and re grease the seals with suspension grease and you can add 10cc of suspension oil on the air spring side to the lowers. That should make a difference on how the fork feels on the small hits. Sometimes the Suntour seals are dry depends on how long they have been sitting around for.
Thanks John, thats good to know man. Cody D had them taken off his vitus and they were layed up n the garage from what we understand....So maybe they need a little love:)
Sticktion is where the fork doesn't move smooth on the Littles. Packing is where it doesn't rebound fast enough and fork suck is when the negative chamber doesn't equalize with the positive and causes dive.
I agree with you on the fork it is an entry level airfork that performs very well I had it on my 2020 specialized pitch comp I weigh 235 and never bottomed it out once you have it dialed in and performs great. 130 on eBay last year
I love my XCR. I use a lot of travel on mine. Although i dont have problems on small stuff. it chew it up pretty dang good. Rock gardens are great with it. Awesome vid once again!
Good video!! Im currently building a 2006 K2 crush complety frame up!! The fork is my hardest decison! Not looking tocspend more than 200!! You video are much appreciated!!
Man thank you so much!! K2 Crush! Did you see the latest Viewers Rides??? Also if it is a 27.5 here is an affilaite link for a 120mm Rockshox! Jsut back in stock and a 9mm QR-ebay.us/IMW5tU
I have the same fork came stock on my polygon D6. It took a little to break in. I weigh 165 and run about 75-80psi. Its handled everything I've thrown at it so far. Have debated adding gear oil to reduce volume as per suntour.
Man thank you so much for the Fork, it was very nice of you to help out those who are shopping around and helping us create some content! Later CODY "D"!!
Wow. The fork came in under the BuckLoose! I have had a great experience with my forks so far. Not much good at those smalls but that dont matter cuz I'm always going BIG!!! 😂⚓👍 love ya WolfDad, glad you like the moniker. Some people dont like name alterations. Just dont call me Eye-in!
Thanks man! We like it too😂. We are all about our little community and don't mind being wrong or showing our screw ups, and most of all we like to keep it real and fun for those who share our passion for the "budget-ish" style of bikes and parts. Hope to see you around man👍
Coil springs are not death ;) Love the video. When I service my fork and I get the oil wrong in the damper you get a bit the same feeling as you're describing, I would just check if the fork came with the proper amounts and kinds of oil, it's not difficult to do and the results are worth it if the levels are off right now. I bought the two can's I need for my fork years back and I have enough oil left for many years to come ( I bought them in 1.5l which is more of a shop supply but hey it was still cheap just get the proper kind not brand even generic is good as long as the rating is correct so for me that's 5w for my lowers and 20w for the damper assembly from memory ). Also, new coil forks need a longer run in before they will work optimally for smalls ( or well, might be urban myth but I keep hearing it from lots of people so idk.. ), that sticky feeling might get better with some more run time ( if it's that, and not because it came with the wrong amounts of oil ). Anyway, good vid 🤘
Forgot you were uploading a day early, a great little surprise on a Thursday! Wolfman leaving Jeremiah stood in his dust was the funniest thing, I love that you just upped and went 😂😂😂 Great review, little surprised by the outcome but the science never lies 😂 Another great video, take care my friends 🍻👍😎
Had to mix it up a bit!! LOL we had to go out of town for the nieces birthday:) But man thank you for the coffees! Not.COM!! HA HA Flat sucked but got her changed out pretty quick considering it was 103 out!!
Well the Suntour XCR can be both coil and air. They used the chrome steel stanchions to keep cost low but definitely heavier. It’s a good way to bring a budget air fork to market.
Hahaha sorry about that fakey, but we had to go on the road and see my granddaughters. I have to say being able to get out in front on The Tick feels pretty good😂. Thanks man👍😎
Is he as good once as he ever was? It is 99 degrees today in the "Sip" and that is not a dry heat. You can't breathe. I need Wolfman to do a seat reviews for "bigger boys" on his ebike. I am having a hard time finding a good commuter seat.
LOL you had to do it!! HA HA! Man you dont want a WOLFMAN seat!! IT is a Wall world special with about 12 inches of room side to side! HA HA you may get stuck between some trees!!
"See those rocks, go kick’em!” 🤣🤣 I always tell my kids to go dig a hole! Alright guys, after watching many different helmet reviews on many different channels, I finally caved in and ordered my first full face helmet. I appreciate your advice in that O’Neal helmet video. That was definitely one of three I had narrowed it down to. The unboxing will commence next week!
Nice opening that was funny, family love for sure! 😁I think the word for the fork you were looking for is sticktion! The fork looks like it has a lot of movement for sure! I think it had to break in a bit.
Thanks a bunch for that man, we try;) Now we do not recommend stiff but we can send some affiliate links to a few people ride with and let us know how they are. The first is a bolany, its cheap but everyone we hear form likes them, they do lack rebound adjustment though-amzn.to/3yhExr9 The next is a KRSEC it has rebound at an affordable price:) amzn.to/3j8kQM5 Good luck man!!
Thanks Vexis- man most of our buying comes for Ebay, so most likely that is were we got them.....Remember the tires?? VEE maybe?? Here is an affiliate link-ebay.us/gxuTPg
11:24 Stiction: you probably experienced stiction, that can be due to sticky or work seals, or dirt inside, can also be worn out bushings, or bad bushing placement, or faulty bushings, it happens sometimes, but it can be stiction due to the stanchions flexing, the arch flexing, a loose wheel not properly tightened, assuming you did a proper job with the front wheel, it's not that. Yea, I mentioned that, but here is some info on it again, but don't remember what I linked to before: Suck Down: Suck down is when the stanchions get sucked in by the negative air chamber, yes even if a fork has a single air valve, it can have a negative chamber, but there can be some issues, causing it to not work, it gets suck. explained by Jed MTB ruclips.net/video/Y-UfHFI4-MM/видео.html GMBN: ruclips.net/video/MQBsrTpwoCo/видео.html
I am glad you were surprised by the XCR32 fork! It really is a pretty nice fork for what it is but I just wish they had a different thru axle..... It has to be tried and true though I just have my preference HAHAHAHAHAHA! That beginning though Wolfman just TOOK OFF!!!!!
Now that the X-Fusion Enix and Suntour Epixon are mostly unavailable....What do you recommend? Waiting for those to hopefully come around in stock or the next best choice is?
Hey brother here is an affiliate link to the Epixon, ebay.us/8GSzT9 , now if you cannot get your hands on it here is an affiliae link to the Rckshox with 120mm of travel at a steal of $169 :)ebay.us/8GSzT9. We like suntours pretty good and it is a shame you cannot find X fusions anymore:( Good luck and I hope these help you, both are in stock and in AMERICA
i took an xcr 32 off of that vitus that i built for my daughter and replaced it with an epixon. as your fork science clearly demonstrates, there isn’t much of a comparison between the two. the weight difference between the xcr 32 and the epixon is really significant. what is your road bike btw?
LOL man veyr SCIENTIFIC channel and our studys are always correct!! LOL Now the road bike is a Kona Dew Drop, it is a great bike man! I love riding the 26mile loop in Littlerock. It was a gift (brother) and kind of got me started on biking:)
i put the bucklos 120 mm on my schwinn ascension last week with a jessica headset.....big big difference.....very happy with it ....i consider it a bargain..!!
Hey guys I have a quick suggestion that may be cool to see for us viewers. You guys could possibly get a cheap bike computer that shows speed and distance live for your real time reviews so we can see how much speed tick can get and also would be great to see how fast from a mph stand point a 27.5 vs 29 is that’s would be cool to see when tick is flying down the the trails with the GoPro chest view. Anyway keep up the work fellas love your content 💪🏼😁
We actually did it before but it was a pain and didn't really come across well. I know there are apps but we have a flip phone and still like it🤣. Maybe in the future we will revisit that idea. Thanks for the input👍 Oh yeah don't forget that we do have a bunch of time trials that give you an idea of how different bikes compare on speed. Thanks again man🥰👍
oooohhh!! Thats a TUFFY!! LOL man we like the X fusions, they rated pretty high at a 31.66. We like X fusion forks because of the lightness and durability......But Suntour makes some pretty good stuff as well.
"Fork Friday? Jeremiah is tripping" I said myself while watching this video in early morning, thinking it's Thursday. then I realized it is really Friday. man, few hours of sleep messes up with me. at least I got this treat to watch in early morning. I must say, it is not easy to be objective for me when it comes to SR Suntour forks. My old bike had stock heavy, coil, cheap SR Suntour (which to be fair, survived everything I threw at it) and in my head, all SR Suntours are cheap and bad. yet, they make some really great stuff. hell, even that kid Tom Pidcock Olympic gold in XC MTB with SR Suntour suspension, ahead of people using more familiar and popular RockShoxs and Fox stuff. I guess SR Suntour have somewhat bad rap, because it is common on cheaper bikes...
Few hours of sleep messes us up too!! LOL But man the Suntours like you say are a very inexpensive fork and man do they take some ABUSE!! I like the brand a lot:) Fox and RockShox seem to have a bug following with newer people due to the familiarity of the name.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS great man! A lil unbusy with the workflow at the moment but nothing tk complain about! I'm happy and I think its pretty cool. I took my lil bro out for a ride Saturday. Trying to get him into mtbs too!
Hey fellas. Long time viewer but rarely comment. Keep up the good work. I also enjoy all the fork videos from your perspective. Do you ever sell any of your forks?
Hey Lance, glad you commented and thank you for being with us this long:) We try on the fork reviews:) So glad you get something out of it! lol Now regarding the selling of forks, not really man. We have so many projects and sometimes we like to do a longterm review and use for B role....but that does not mean we would not sell something in the future.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I have a few ?'s about the channel I wanted to run by you gentlemen. Just wanted to know should I ask on comments or would y'all prefer a different method?
@Bike Dr. Frankenstein Normally we like to keep it in the comments, but since you are a fellow content creator go ahead and email us. Our email is in the about tab on our channel. You will need to be on a computer to get it I believe. Hopefully we will have answers to your questions🤔😉.
Awesome to see all these fork reviews. I have been seeing a fork made by DNM. The fork is $99 made in Taiwan, has a 2 year warranty and is air fork. Curious to see if you have tried this one. Thanks!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Here is the 29". They also have a 27.5" DNM ORL Mountain Bike Bicycle 29" Fork 28.6mm with Remote Lockout 100mm Travel www.amazon.com/dp/B07DMSX365/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_GMSNE0GHYQ7601C4K60K
reason why they suck on smalls is because the fork don't come with foam rings, I just upgraded mine and the difference is night and day specially on smalls and it even feels better than my rockshox 35G. it was a 2 dollar upgrade. mind you mine is 34mm stanchion version.
Didn't know we had bikes 38 years ago? HA HA HA! I grew up next to a vacant lot. My friends and I built a BMX track on the lot and we also raced BMX at local tracks. Thanks for the inspiration guys....you swayed me to buy a GT Aggressor Pro and I love it.
YOU ID have them 38 years ago? LOL!! I was waiting for someone to catch that!! HA HA Thank you Roger Z and your stickers are in our truck! We thought we sent them off brother, very sorry:( we will send them ASAP!! We are out of town at the moment, threw some extras in there as well:) Thank you for being here brother!
Slightly bummed that the fork didn't score higher. I'm horrible at finalizing decisions and I have been debating what budget fork to replace the stock on the Aggressor. I keep hoping one of these forks will be the obvious choice. I guess I will just have to make a damn pick because I'm going to have the same problem when I want to swap out the stock fork on the daughters AL Comp. Working on bikes in these modern days proves more choices do NOT equal more happiness.
I'm the same as you. Took me two months to finally decide on a fork. None of the budget forks satisfied my requirements and I'm kind of a bigger guy so the fork is pretty important. I settled on the Bomber Z2. You may be able to find it for 20% off. I got it for 420 but even for 520 I would have been happy. I expect to transfer them to my next bike so longevity is important. Buy once cry once. My advice is to not go Budget on the fork unless you're not planning to get jiggy with it.
Well brother how about this affliate link-120mm of travel, straight steerer, 9mm QR, rare at this price and in AMERICA!! GOOD LUCK-the search is OVER!! ebay.us/IMW5tU
love the channel guys. Lots of relevant and regular-guy riding/concerns. Upgrading my son's bike and your reviews have been golden. I'd love to do QR15 but that requires new hubs/wheels. With that being said, I'm not crazy about gold stanchions or remote lock-out so which tapered 120mm QR9 air fork do you like best for under $250? Btw you earned a sub.
Well thank you brother, we try to be the guys that bring it to you from two regular guys!! LOL So glad we are doing our job:) Now regarding your fork, thats a tough one man, you will find not a out out there:( Now here is an affiliate link no this was about 30min of SEARCHING!! LOL here is a for ZTZ atually just sent us! The ones we have ( will be showing this Friday for Mailtime) are the 27.5 straight I believe??? Maybe a 29" but man let us know what you think- good luck and boy are they hard to find!!amzn.to/37IKrpB
I really dig your channel and these real-time fork reviews. Keep up the good work guys. Any chance of getting a hold of a Marzocchi Z2 Bomber fork for review? They are regarded as the best "budget" premium forks. At about 500 bucks, they are much cheaper than their cousin the Fox Rythym. It would be interesting to see if and how much better it performs than your current number one pic the X-Fusion Enix.
First of all, thanks man. The Enix is our "budget" champ for sure and I don't see it losing anytime soon. The budget category is capped at $200. We now have a "not so budget" category but it is capped at $400. Not sure if we will ever go more than $400 on a fork. Here is our ratings in that $400 dollar category in case you missed it. ruclips.net/video/MbLN2nlo6oQ/видео.html
@t 800 Everyone is entitled to their opinion. We rated the Epixon 120mm forks after we had a chance to ride them on a few different trails and just wanted to mix it up a little. Maybe we will figure a way to do a future short segment on the Cats Meow. Don't forget that when we were doing the GT Time Trials on the Cats Meow (even though it was not a review) I believe the Epixon 120mm were on the bike. Thanks man
Always look forward to these videos.🤗 Wasn't surprised about the smalls. BTW...where would you rate the Suntour XCT off the top of your head? Mine seemed to handle smalls well once they broke in. P.S. I was drinking water.
Hell yeah Al locke, so glad ou still enjoy LOL. Now I would say the original XCT's woud rate a close last to the ZTZ's I really wish they had a lockout and the preload knobs were insync
Hey do you know if the Bucklos XCM (I think that's what its called, something very close) and the Bucklos Lutu are the exact same for with just different names? If they are different how so and which is better? Thanks man.
Hey Tac, please watch some of our older videos, we do all of the filming so people can get an idea of our reviews. The two forks you mention we not only do an initial impressions but also a realtime review + scoring. So you can see were every fork up until that point has ranked....Thanks man
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I watched them back when they came out, I just don't remember the results so I wanted a really quick recap. I think you rated Lutu pretty high. I am using the XC and will install the Lutu tomorrow when it arrives. I think my XC is actually getting a little better with use, less stiction. It feels a bit smoother after maybe 10 hours of use. No worries, I will watch them again if I have time.
@Dustin Gilbert We saw it a couple of days ago but don't think we are going to pull the trigger on that one. Besides we have a ton of upgrading to get to🧑🔧 and if we keep getting new bikes we will never get it done😂. Man we appreciate you bringing it to our attention though.👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yes I pull it all apart yesterday it is the c clip then a washer then the piston rod the the part that the seals are and then a spring. Are the seals mostly universal?
This is the "budget" under $200 list. The Manitou is on the "not so budget" $201-$400 list here: ruclips.net/video/MbLN2nlo6oQ/видео.html You can use the score to compare regardless of price though. Hopefully this helps answer your question.
Man for some reason we were on the edge of our seats Bc we thought there might be a wipe out right before the switching back lol. You ever used tannus armour?
HA HA man you were!! I was gritting my teeth hoping there was not a nasty wipeout a well:) Now I never used that stuff before, I would love to do a sunday video on something like that, looked and emailed vittoria insert thingys but no response.
So far they are good. Didn’t add much weight. Go down in tube size though. Tight fit on mine. I was thinking it might be noisy as well but no they aren’t. But yeah the 1x is freaking awesome

Man, please watch the initial impressions video of this fork. If it is a QR 9mm skewer then yes....I am not at the shop to get a for sure at the moment.
Need to go to Walmart and check out the new Schwinn mountain bike it's black with silver lettering it looks like a 29 inch wheels front and rear disc I'm not sure exactly what is but I saw it today I'd say maybe a 17 or 18 inch frame the frame is pretty big in the center it is big enough for me to shove a motor into it the price $398
Sounds like a lie but I swear it is not I bought a rockshox Judy and a brand new vittoria barzo 27.5 tires for my 2016 specialized pitch.29 inch wheel and tire of a axum dp for his 2020 gt agressor pro that he is muliting. Love the video's
People actually buy forks you recommend, bucklos are not rated for off road use and are cheap to the feel,my friend had a set of bucklos and they snapped after about 2 months of on road use, being light is not always a good idea,I've ridden with a set of sr suntour xcr 34 and they are bomb proof, i think they are great forks for down hill riding,
Well, you must be new around here because we never recommend anything.😂😉We have a rating system for entertainment purposes, but even then, we mention that we would rather have the Suntour over the Bucklos. After about 4 years of testing out budget forks and putting them through stuff that they aren't made for, we are happy to report that we are lucky enough to never have had one break on us. I believe that Suntour that you are using for "downhill" riding is also not recommended for that use. Just thought you might want a heads up. We don't take ourselves too seriously around here, so others shouldn't either. Welcome to the Wolftick Nation. I hope you watch some more fork episodes and comment what you think on them. Thanks for watching and commenting.👍🏼

It says clearly on the fork in multiple places that you should not do any jumps or tricks its dangerous, The fact carearra put these on these bikes means that they are the cheapest crap u can get, but perhaps they done carearra a good deal on a mass produced number..... only thing worth anything on a carearra is the frame because they warranty it for life you want snap anything which must mean something.... you guys talk too much, you seem to like yourself speak, from 19k followers others don't, talk less more action.
1. A lot of forks have that sticker. That's why we test/review them. 2. We have no idea what "carearra" is. 3. Of course we talk, it's our channel. (There are time stamps in the description for your convenience as noted at the bottom of the screen in the beginning of the episode) 4. We don't like scripted cheesy acting like they do on other channels, so we do things our way. (We fully understand that our channel would be bigger if we copied all the bigger bike channels) Our style is not for everyone, but we have great support and have built a wonderful community here. Welcome to Wolftick Videos. Thanks for watching 👍.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I carrera is British brand that are good ar making metal frames things not such at adding parts, supposed pumping too much money into the metal and relying on the name of good manufacturers by using there cheapest products to people not in the know not everyone is a bike daft and overlook these things, It was just a bit of constructive criticism not meant as bad as you took, there is millions of viewers out here into bikes, if u notice people's attention span is getting shorter, tiktok, youtube shorts, nobody has 30 mins to listen to a review that last thst long because its filled with banter with your dad which I get you enjoy its great actually but its not a format that will attract millions if followers they just want to know if a product is good, its the Internets not every comment will be a good one,
@@richardaitkenhead We didn't take it bad at all. I wouldn't have classified it as "constructive" criticism, but we like to answer our viewers, so we did. Like we said before, timestamps are in the description. We no longer have our Coffee Shoutouts as a stand alone segment, although it has cost us a good chunk of money by not doing it this way anymore. This is an old episode, alot has changed. We have no want to have millions of viewers, or we would have been like all the rest of the bike channels. We have over 3 million views on our channel and we continue to grow every month. Feel free to check out some of our other budget fork episodes, but remember to look in the description for timestamps 😜.

Well the Suntour XCR can be both coil and air. They used the chrome steel stanchions to keep cost low but definitely heavier. It’s a good way to bring a budget air fork to market.
Really is man, I would think someone upgrading a coil forked bike could really get a great feel for air forks at a cheaper price with these!!

Nice opening that was funny, family love for sure! 😁I think the word for the fork you were looking for is sticktion! The fork looks like it has a lot of movement for sure! I think it had to break in a bit.
Even riding bikes we are full of it!! LOL Sticktion, friction and or suckage:) Totally broke her in right:)

11:24 Stiction: you probably experienced stiction, that can be due to sticky or work seals, or dirt inside, can also be worn out bushings, or bad bushing placement, or faulty bushings, it happens sometimes,
but it can be stiction due to the stanchions flexing, the arch flexing, a loose wheel not properly tightened, assuming you did a proper job with the front wheel, it's not that.
Yea, I mentioned that, but here is some info on it again, but don't remember what I linked to before:
Suck Down:
Suck down is when the stanchions get sucked in by the negative air chamber, yes even if a fork has a single air valve, it can have a negative chamber, but there can be some issues, causing it to not work, it gets suck.

i took an xcr 32 off of that vitus that i built for my daughter and replaced it with an epixon. as your fork science clearly demonstrates, there isn’t much of a comparison between the two. the weight difference between the xcr 32 and the epixon is really significant. what is your road bike btw?
I took this one off my vitus nucleus vrs. I put a suntour aion on it. It's such an upgrade. I figured wolftick could use it more than I could!

Thanks again man🥰👍
Good morning! Which one's the best? Sr suntour raidon 2021 boost x Brand: X-FUSION Model: RC32 boost
oooohhh!! Thats a TUFFY!! LOL man we like the X fusions, they rated pretty high at a 31.66. We like X fusion forks because of the lightness and durability......But Suntour makes some pretty good stuff as well.
It's a tank!! Like 2pounds more than the Manitou!!
It is a tank for sure😂
Love the videos. What size tire do you run with the XCR? I know the manual says 2.3 max...

reason why they suck on smalls is because the fork don't come with foam rings, I just upgraded mine and the difference is night and day specially on smalls and it even feels better than my rockshox 35G. it was a 2 dollar upgrade. mind you mine is 34mm stanchion version.
That is interesting, I may have to look into that. They are sill mounted on the Al Comp, thanks for the input
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS its very easy to do coz the fork dont have oil in the lowers. Looking forward to that foam ring video. :)

I have never seen this kona roadbike on this channel.
Man it is a "road bike" lol we dont really focus on them too much unless a company sends us one:) It is a great bike though
Back in the 90's you saved money and bought the best thing the bike shop had that fit and you could afford at that moment.

Feel free to check out some of our other budget fork episodes, but remember to look in the description for timestamps 😜.
