I think what makes the album really interesting is how he mixes it up, he's got a lot of rap of various sorts, but Kokayne is practically a rock song, Time is total country, Maybe You Love Me is EDM, VIP Pass To My Heart is sort of R&B/Dance. I think it was a wild album because when it came out, RiFF RAFF had a few tracks, he was semi-famous but largely very comical which he still somewhat is. This album proved that the guy was highly talented, if only to the people who were willing to listen. I've been a fan since Three Loco and fell in love after the Versace Python freestyle video. Neon Icon is Riff's magnum opus.

The beat sounds like something from The Bomb Squad back in the late 80's and early 90's, and his lyrics are just braggadocious and hilariously entertaining, his rapping and flow is delivered with this type of energy that comes from the late 80's and early 90's Hip Hop.
