I like to play this on the piano, and sing it also, it's so beautiful... So moving. I wish more churches would sing the precious hymns... I think of my husband, who passed away a few months ago, that brought me to Christ ♥️ I love you Darryll
Agree w/ you Timmy. One does not write and produce a heavenly work like this w/o divine empowerment. The Holy Spirit has energized this worship ever since it was rolled out. It is of "divine origin". A gift to Christ's Church for worship back to Him! Amen!
This song is truly HOLY GHOST anointed!PraiseGOD THAT My name is written in the Lambs Book Of Life in what JESUS CHRIST did for me on the Cross. And I'm so glad that all my chains has fallen off. And I am a new creature in JESUS CHRIST that old things have passed away and all things have been made new !
This was my precious mom's favorite 💖 She would've been 96 today. Praise His name! Thank you for sharing His amazing love so beautifully 😇 Happy Heavenly Birthday Mom🥰
The hymn captures beautifully the Savior's love for His people and that the only possible genuine response should be evident of a life of daily repentance and growth in a Christian's life, who instead of taking Christ's death as cheap grace, would utter in such unworthiness: "Died He for me, who caused His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued?"
This song manifest the matchless love of God by sending HIS beloved begotten SON JESUS CHRIST as SAVIOUR for the mankind .HIS love is matchless, marvelous, invaluable and everlasting because even though we were wretched sinners yet HE loved us.
This is one of the best recordings I've found of a great song. The only thing I want to remind everyone of, however, is that Christ's divinity did not die on the cross--only His body did. Teaching that Jesus died spiritually is heresy. (I realize the song doesn't teach that, but I can see how someone might misinterpret it that way.)
In paying for our sin, Jesus bore the Father's wrath against sin. That was more than a physical death: he was separated (equals death) from the Father. If he only died physically, he could only redeem our bodies. In the garden, Jesus was dreading not just physical death (as horrible as crucifixion is, there are worse deaths)... he was dreading taking on the Father's wrath, and separation from the Father. Please check your theology carefully against scripture.
I love this arrangement. Is this piano accompaniment available in print? There's another contemporary tune for this piece that, to me, robs it of its majesty, i.e. the climactic chorus, "Amazing Love, how can it be..." is totally de-emphasized. The arrangement in this video retains the majesty of this hymn while relaxing the singing of it so it doesn't sound quite so "high church."
this would be a great version but the worship leader has to insert himself and scream the words when everyone can read them on the screen or hymnal. even reformed worship leaders have to be heard. what a shame!
I was looking for an online audio source with which to sing along in my private worship. Such delight, when first this began. Then the shouting, the performance, the attention drawn to the individual. Then I started to feel annoyed, angry, critical, proud, generally SNOTTY! Wherein lies the sin? Me, I guess.

May God continue resting his soul where he deems fit😢
Charles Wesley was a genius. This may be one of his best hymns!
He had divine help.
Agree w/ you Timmy.

For the Christian it doesn't get much better than this.
This was my late husband's favorite hymn and I sometimes sing it at my church in his memory. I miss you and love you. Rest in peace!🙏🙏
@ Pauline Allen - I'm so sorry for your loss.

I love when that song leader shouts.
Is this from an album that's available?

@@faithmcgill8638 no, I dont think so. The guy should lead worship not distract from.worship! 😊
Haha well this is not for you anyways
@@BrotherBear133 lol why not?
Kevin Elvington My point is the intention of worship music is not for our enjoyment. I meant no disrespect

I wish that guy would stop interrupting every few seconds.
It's supposed to be a worship leader... that's an example of Charismatic false teaching...
Same.
