    If you are listening to this, wondering if there is a Jesus- He is real. He's complete, tender love and He wants to know you. Look for Him and you'll easily find Him...

    That someone there doesn't believe wouldn't detract anything. Jesus isn't in competition with idols and their worshippers. Remain blessed.

    The most wonderful words, most wonderful melody. Ful of wonder and joy of our Lord Jesus. Often sung in church like a dirge. Sing with the wonder of our salvation.

      The Mumatron, some people sing mournfully because they carry a heavy cross, and are worried about their loved ones. Keep optimistic, and be encouraging to the heavy laden.

    The man soloist’s voice is excellent. Praise the master Jesus.
    D’you know the human voice was made for praising God !?

    If you think that Arminians don't believe in God's grace, think again. This hymn is all about God's grace, and was written by the staunchly Arminian Charles Wesley.

    What I like about this rendition is the clarity, especially of the women singing.
    Praise God from whom all good things come.

    Romans 13:14
    14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
    2 Corinthians 10:4-5
    4( For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
    5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

    The only problem I have with this hymn is that God cannot die. Jesus' human body can die but not his divine nature. A better way to sing this is "That thou my "Lord" should die for me."

    • @ChetValleyChurches
      @ChetValleyChurches  Год назад

      Hi Charles. If we pursue this we can easily find ourselves back in the Christological debates of the third and fourth centuries. In the end the church came to the decision that Jesus was and is fully God and fully human - and therefore, to that extent God did die on the cross. Of course there is a paradox here because, as you rightly say, God cannot die. But to deny that God died when Jesus died risks denying the full divinity of Jesus. Deep waters indeed.
