One thing I like about OBDeleven is it actually keeps a history of settings you've changed. This saved me big time on my TT when one of the modules got super messed up, finding a previous coding in the history that worked saved me from a trip to the dealer.

The number one reason I purchased this item was to reset SERVICE DUE which most AUDI dealers will not reset unless you pay large sums of money to do an extensive service review on the car. Shame on Audi for allowing this crap to happen. BUT, I do love this device.
That is definitely cool. Makes me want to get an Audi just to be able to program stuff like that. It’s like adding options the factory didn’t offer.

So you buy this product, then buy their pro mode so you can actually make it useful and then after that you have to buy every coding modification as well. This sounds like a huge rip off to people who might not know better. No hard feelings, love the channel but this is dumb

I bought the same unit. You can get a ELM 327 wifi obd2 and download the app Caprista on your iOS device and do the same thing. Way cheaper compare to the OBDeleven. I still own both units but I’m an iOS user and it’s more convenient for me.

18t4motion that is true. For my purposes, I still find it more useful as an iOS user meaning I always have my iPhone on me. OBDeleven definitely has more options tho.
Most of the options that people are long coding in OBDEleven, are already in menu in Carista. Just need to toggle.
Pros and cons to both. I personally use Torque Pro and Carista with my ELM for my MKV GTI.
Great device, I did a lot of coding changes on my S4 Avant, (easier than Ross-tech which is painful to make it working on my laptops, usb drivers blablabla)

yes, but how does one use it to code a battery. I can't find the channel to look for on this thing 2015 A7 tdi Prestige.
Nice gadget for simple coding but you can't make a comparison with VCDS / VCP. These involve a lot more then these simple functions.

It's probably also so you cant do it for your friends. Like if the app was sold you could code all your friends their cars with the same phone
just curious, i have a mk6 golf and when i click the open button it only opens the drivers door and not the rest of the doors unless i click a few times, would this change that? I don't have the multi function steering wheel so don't think I can change it from the car itself

Be careful guys, this shit fucked my warranty up. I made changes to the MMI and I started having issues with the screen randomly turning off/rebooting (could be unrelated idk) but Audi saw something non OEM on the screen and blamed it on that. Now they will not service my car if it's MMI related. I now have a faulty MMI system even though my car is under warranty and they will not help me fix it. I'm also not able to remove the feature I put on there since no feature exists on the OBDEleven app to remove it...you can only add apparently.
Does it void warranty if you play with the settings of the S4?

It's really not a vcds alternative, for $119 more you can get a hex v2 cable and have the real thing. I liked OBDeleven at first but I eventually ran into some things that didn't work such as throttle adaptation.
Pretty much all I use it for now is quick coding on friend's cars
Also vin's are only used for adaptation on vcds. You can scan and log as much data as you want on as many cars as you want.
Do you need to buy that specific adapter to use this app?
I have this OBDEleven device IT DID NOT work on my son's 2005 VW Passat Diesel Wagon it wouldn't even setup it just sits there, I tried it on my 2009 VW Rabbit works just fine, Dude tell me why it doesn't Work I spent the money and it's trash
Tim D Stevens I believe the 2005 vws have a different ecu that doesn’t allow for coding. In 2006 they switched systems that allow for it. So that might be the reason that it’s not allowing you to do anything on your son’s car.
@@ViewlessSquid Wrong. I can code whatever I want on my '98 A6 (C5, 4B), even with VCDS lite. Ross-Tech HEX-V2 and HEX-NET work on '96 - current models and for the foreseeable future.
Most likely this cheaper alternative is cheaper for a reason...

OBD11 is definitely THE BEST and CHEAPEST programming tool that I've seen in last few years... VCDS is just old,limited functions and you have to buy original interface to get support (stick with the Chinese ones,they work just as good as original for the 10th of the price) but OBDELEVEN has anything that you need for advanced use... I just love this revolutionary device and software!

No. If there are no motors to perform the fold function, the OBDeleven can do nothing about it. But if your mirrors DO fold electrically, it can make them fold or unfold automatically when you lock or unlock your car.

Brian Case you get one a day and you can watch videos which allows you to get 5 total per day. The other option is purchasing the rate is 10=1. Those credits are required for "shortcut" coding. You can long code unlimited times for free if you have the pro version
or spend the 20$ for the knockoff vagcom cable that is unlimited and gives full version of vcds (vagcom)
