This reminded me more of a biscuit but still delicious all the same. I made the recipe as written last week. This week I added cinnamon, poppy seed, a little lemon peel, 1/8 tsp lemon extract for a non savory version. I know a lot of people have questioned the calorie count and criticized her calculations but when I put the recipe in MyFitnessPal for six servings the calorie count was actually 78. So I think every one should use their respective tools to measure calories and use her counts as a guide. Since we don’t know what tool or app she used she may be correct in her calculations. I don’t think she is trying to deceive anyone. Thank you for the recipe ❤

I started this with good appetite and excitement, but after kneading for 10 minutes and still having a sticky wet mess of ‘dough’ on my hand, the whole bowl and various surfaces around me i started to lose courage 😅 I thought maybe i need to add some more almond flour, but i used the last bits 😩 After 20 more minutes I just smacked the sticky heaps on the oven plate, sculpted it to rough bagel shapes, added eggwash and kept my fingers crossed… and they turned out okay! The best bread substitute i’ve had in ages. So i shall definitely try again at some point 😊

OK made them. They taste pretty good, but they are really soft. Maybe a bit of baking powder and/or egg would help. Maybe next time I'll add a bit of Vital Wheat Gluten. Only 4 carb per 1/4 cup, so it would add an extra carb per bagel with 1/4 cup total.

Looks great but curious how each bagel only has 82 calories? Almond flour has a lot of calories and the one I have has 720 calories a cup. Multiply that by two and add the calories for an egg and Greek yogurt, and divide by 6. I don’t get 82 calories per bagel.

Do you know why ? All wheat is GMO since 1950, it’s 10 times more harvested than a wild wheat , but the protein chain is so strong that majority of people can not digest it , so allergies, diabetes and other diseases come out because of this wheat. Also cow milk is GMO , all cows are so geen modified that beta caseine in their milk is changed from A1 to A2 , it gives people the same problems like allergies, brain damage, Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, digestive problems. You can better use goat milk and cheese instead, but be careful because they’ve already modified goats too😢

    INGREDIENTS:
    2 cups almond flour
    1 cup plain greek yogurt
Seasonings of choice - everything but the bagel seasoning, sesame seeds
    DIRECTIONS:
    Preheat your oven to 375F.
In a large bowl, add your almond flour and greek yogurt. Mix with a spatula.
Knead your dough for 3-5 minutes and separate until 4 equal pieces.
Roll into a log and shape into a circle, turning it into a bagel shape. You can also use a cookie cutter, roll into a flat circle and cut the middle out (like a donut)
Spray your bagels with avocado oil and add your seasonings of choice. You can also add an egg wash to achieve that golden brown look.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool and serve with your favorite cream cheese!

I watched this when it first came out, but I had just grocery shopped and meal prepped so I had no Greek yogurt but I finally made these and they are a game changer! I would use this dough for a biscuit too. Thanks so much bc I eat a LOT of chaffles as a bread replacement...but, I eat cheese also and was wanting a bread without cheese as I felt I was really cheesing too much. Anyway, these are so healthy and yummy. I love how easy it was. I really am not a yogurt person a d never cared for Greek yogurt. The taste of these genuinely shocked me. Loved it! Thanks so much 💗
