- In this video I make a start on a new project.... It's a Corsa Turbo for Dream Car Giveaways! There's a lot of work to be done under the car so I bought me a new tool! Make way to the cheapest but highly recommended car roller by CJ Autos. It works a treat!
Go check out www.dreamcargiveaways.co.uk for a chance at winning some cool cars!!!!
Body roller from www.cjautosheywood.co.uk
Looked well sketchy but worked well. Looking forward to more progress 👍
It had me worried too before I lifted it, worked out great though.
I built the car owned it for many years , paid 3k for that paint job and bonnet vent and body shop argued to toss that the bonnet vent was fitted correctly 6 months later it started peeling off. Some one from dream car has jacked it up on the wrong place as side skirt wasn’t like that.
It’ll be back to great soon 👍👍
thats an ideal device for getting at those lost coins trapped under the seat rails....ordered
That's a handy tool indeed for some underbody restoration. not seen one before like that.
It worked really well 👍
What a tool! Not you, but that’s a nice bit of kit. Very useful and looks easy to use.
Yes brill piece of kit, would recommend 👍
Had so many corsa turbos over the years. Awesome cars
Can’t wait for the test drive on this one 👍
That's brilliant!
Question about factory rust coatings though - in the resulting video can you briefly cover what needs to be removed?
Ppl say you should remove it all & recoat and some say that's just a waste of really hard work & just do what's loose or trapping moisture.
Is it easy to tell the difference when you're examining it?
Asking for a 15yr old Golf! Cheers
I need one of these in my life.
Need more of this restoration asap love corsa
i love it! thank you for showing the jig. i will contact them soon about shipping to the USA. keep up the good work
Looked a great (cheapish) way to do the underside.. amazed it worked so well!
What an excellent tool 👍
Great for dudes doing restos etc 👌👌👌
Hoo Roo big Keg, yes this worked well 👍
I spent the weekend under my Suzuki Vitara, which is luckily lifted 2", so no jacking required.
However, that tool looks incredible, making access so much easier!
It’s much better. Stood up, headphones on just working away with no crap falling all over you 👍
Cant beat a old corsa b! Especially a c20let like this with full gsi kit and speedlines 🥵🤩😍
Simple tool but very effective. I like.
Mega bit of kit must get one
I didn't think it was going to work? Keep up the good work 🤔🤗👍👍
As if I commented about my 16v Arden blue corsa b having the same power as the clio and your now doing one... great cars cheap n quick for not a lot of money
Ha ha OG corsa is the best 👍
Nice kit, but like all equipment for working on undersides it is good for some tasks and not for others. You have to have the hubs on one side of the car at least.
When I get rich I will have a couple of different hydraulic hoists, a car roller and a rotisserie - Oh, and a hydraulic motorcycle workbench. Dream on.
Yes probably get it on the lift to take off all the suspension etc 👍
brings back some nasty flashbacks, my ford cargo recovery truck cab went up like that, but didn't stop....
think it needs some sort of safety limiter/stop/lock, just in case, but well worth 400
PS -it took 9 of us to lift the cab back up, sliding the steering column back together etc, then i slowly drove it back to base, in a pair of brown underpants keep it up young man
Put an extra axle stand on the other side to catch it, not used one of these tools so I can’t say if that will work.
Bet that went bang when it came off 👍
@@ODDAutos loudest noise was the airlines ripping off, + a cloud of water vapour, it literally blew up in my face... [+ still limped it home with zero brakes]
I have a arden blue c20let corsa b not everyones cup of tea but it sure moves
Keep up the projects. Loving the channel.
Thanks Kevin 👍👍
Impressive! I was thinking surely not but worked a treat nice one 👍
I was thinking the same lol, surprised me too 👍
What an amazing bit of kit that roll over kit is love the channel keep up the great work guys ♥️
Cheers Dean 👍
Great video as always..loved this review thankyou more like this please.?really helps us weekend mechanics..great channel keep up the great work ❤👏
What could possibly go wrong? Kidding, it's simple physics. Great idea. Does have it's drawbacks, but so do hoists/ramps etc.
Yes think I’ll get it back on the ramp after to drop all the suspension off and stuff 👍👍
Maybe the next video will be testing how far you can roll one before it goes over? Looks like it packs away quite small when you're done, which is a bonus.
Ha ha I’ll try that on one of my own cars 🤣
I wouldn't mind some of those but it can't be good for a macpherson strut. I'd be inclined to fab up a bar with hub and tower mounts, save flogging expensive coilovers..
It’s all ok so far 🤞
Awesome 👏
What a cool piece of kit, wish id had one of them when I was a kerbside mechanic 🤣
I was thinking the same, doing exhausts that are rusted on solid and you’ve not enough room to swing the hammer
Impressive, good demo!
Not sure the bearings will be too pleased with that kind of pressure on them
What a fantastic invention
It works well doesn’t it 👍👍
liked the roll over frame, but not sure about a 2litre turbo with small discs rear drums!!!!!!
Great video 👍👍
Wow great idea, very impressed
Cheers buddy 👍
That’s the most awesome thing I’ve seen. I was expecting it to flip. 😂
Me too ha ha, deffo was easier this afternoon getting all the old undersell off with it on its side 👍
Oh wow. Great clip
Cheers Ian 👍
Am I the only one who was twitchy watching that?!?
I was too lol
Nope I was too.. I've used rollover spits on stripped shell's many time.
I thought those side jigs were only for a fairly stripped car.. I didn't expect to it happily hold a full car with engine etc. I'd be 💩ING myself.
A bit jealous of your sheet metal folder in the background
It’s a big boy, had some stick from me over the years 🤣
I wonder if the wheel bearings, suspension components can handle it. Otherwise it looks like a great idea.
😎
👍👍
Interesting. I guess there's a weight limit or some sort of size limit? Pretty cool though. I would have loved this when I was doing my Mini 1275GT many years ago.
It’s so easy to work on now, I might take the fuel tank off and roll it the other way to do the other sill 👍
Love this channel mate, for what it's worth
Thanks Michael, glad you like it buddy 👍👍
Awesome tool.
Thanks Marios, it works great! 👍👍
Cool tool, I was wondering what it does to bearings and bushes etc with them loaded up but I suppose spirited driving gives the same load of not more on components..
Yes I suppose the cars always sat on those bearing so should be fine 👍
Good for sill and floor repair 👌
I pull the sill cover off earlier, was actually a pleasant job like that… makes a change lol
@@ODDAutos beats lying on ur back getting rust in ur eyes 😎👌
This is an handy Tool 😍
It is great 👍👍
That’s so cool 😎
Cheers buddy, it’s a great bit of kit 👍
Did this come stock 2L T? I had a grey one not turbo 1.6 in Australia 🇦🇺 they called them Holden Barina
Was defo expecting to see that go on its roof 🤣
Ha ha me too 🤣
If it's any thing like my metro 1.8 turbo that will be insane
Can’t wait to get out in it 👍
Pleaseeee make more content with this please!!
Will do buddy 👍
Lesser beings use tyres and an old stained mattress 😂
Looking forward to the next one
👍
Ha ha prop it up with a broom stick handle 🤣
I had the SRI version of this car it kept cutting out while being driven 😅garage said it was how I drove in the end I crashed it into a field
Ha ha poor car, drive it like you stole it 🤣
Nice bit of kit! Surely you could make it yourself for cheaper
I suppose you could but it’s the time and curving that thick tube.
i,m amazed you didnt just make one and save £400 . it looks simple enough to do and would have made good content .
I’ve got got a pipe bender strong enough to put the curve in that thick tube, it’s twice the thickness of the roll cage tube.
Brilliant bit of kit has it got a limit? How big of a car you can put on it
It doesn’t say a limit, the tube very thick so I’d expect a good bit 👍
2500kg. This is a copy of a German tilter made by liqui technic in the 80s or 90s they can lift 3500kg and work with a drill. £900 on ebay
Nice bit off kit
Cheers Marty 👍
Is have the better CT02 model for sale. Retails at about £1300. I want £650 going on eBay soon.
Where are you based in the UK.
You could have gone with rotisserie spit for that price. Hope you don't find any big surprises.
I’ve got a rotisserie but most are only weighted for a stripped shell.
It's a borderline sex spec era car!
I can’t wait to go out in it 👍
How much
The roller? It’s £350 plus the dreaded.
Be just my luck for it to roll onto its roof 🤦🏻♂️
I thought the same 🤣
Beautiful motor that should be on my drive
I didn't even know that such a thing existed!
It’s a brilliant tool
Great video 👍👍
