- In this video I start a new job.... It's a 1979 Porsche 911 with a 3.8 RS engine in it running over 300bhp!! for Dream Car Giveaways!
The car is pretty mint anyways so I'm just doing some little tidy up jobs, in this video I tackle the dreaded wiring AGAIN! It gets an OCD touch of goodness too! What are your thoughts on this classic car? I just can't wait for the road test now!
Go check out www.dreamcargiveaways.co.uk for a chance at winning some cool cars!!!!
What a great transformation with just a decent set of wheels. Great job on the wiring too 😊
Thanks Dave, looks like a proper one now 👍
What a great bloke / Car / Workshop / Job / channel.
Reminds me of a mk 2 RS2000 I got in 80s the wiring was a nightmare it was put together with 26 scotch locks on the radio and map light all with 6 inch pieces of wire.
What can I say, fantastic. Love the way you casually with a degree of humbleness transformed the car. She looks really happy might I add. If you were near where I live I’d bring mine to you. Well done sir 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
Someone was going for a world record, with number of connectors in one wire run there. 🤣 That’s a smart looking old 911 and sympathetically updated as well.
Ha ha that was my thoughts 🤣
That’s an absolute beauty!
Somebody is going to love that car now. Cracking clean up as usual
Cheers Ryan 👍
Lovely bit of rectification😎👍🏻
I’m guessing you had quite the sense of job satisfaction after completing this one👍🏻
If only it were yellow it would be perfect. Hey ho, someones going to win a great car now you've fettled it.
I’ll have to ask them to get a yellow one next ha ha 👍
Dream car right there 👍
Great job mate, those wheels look sweet 👌
Cheers Big Keg, have a great day mate.
Beautiful. Good mechanic xx
I love your channel mate. Keep up the great work!
Awesome wiring work again 👏 porsche looked awesome on the new rims and a bit lower 👏
Brilliant job dude great work man 😊 Pete
this is one of my favourite 911 body designs with that duck tail, an absolute classic with a mint wheel job indeed!
My favourite too, it’s a classic 😍
Amazing what a difference it makes just getting those little things right. Lovely stuff
Thanks matey 👍
I do love the classic 911 .top work as usual
Stunning classic
Yep the Fuchs alloys made the difference. Nice work matey👊c
nice....
when my sister was at school, her female, cigar smoking teacher had a rough looking filthy one, never got cleaned, to try to make it less desirable. she also had a shipyard sized chain around the steering wheel to the seat. the little buggers only nicked a hacksaw from the metalwork rooms, + sawed through the spokes. it spent the afternoon on the rev-limiter, blasting around the playing fields, filled with 15yo kids, steering knight-rider style by the spokes, only caught when the engine seized due to all the mud packed around it
PS it re-started next day...
Ha ha that’s a funny one 👍
All the best champ
You do fantastic work.... you have a great eye for detail and getting things spot on! 🍺
Cheers Grant, mean a lot 👍👍
Fantastic watch, great work mate !
1979, what a great year!! although it looks in better nick than me after 44 years 😂
Me too lol, but I’m a year younger 🤣
New wheels look amazing, good job.
Cheers Iain, yes I think suits it more 👍👍
Some Useless info , When I was a kid I had a Porsche car with a radio in it exactly the same colour and shape as this one bought back a few memories lol it’s in the loft somewhere I think .
Brilliant, wonder if it’s still about?
Nice work as always. I had a minerva blue 911 way back. For me, it needed to go back to standard, but top job👍👍👍👍
Cheers buddy 👍
Nice work! Excellent wheel choice! Did You save those extra wires for some Porsche restauration job...?
Good tasteful work.
Thanks Richard 👍
@@ODDAutos If I came in to money I would hire you to make me a 'Run Baby Run' replica for the road
Proper Porsche now great upgrades
Cheers buddy 👍
Great car - lovely colour - Great job👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Paul, looks mint 👍
Looking at the vents in the dash, it is a 1986 to 1989 911 3.2, but it does have a lot of modifications to update it.
I love your videos!
Fantastic work as usual.
Thanks John 👍👍
This channel deserves more subs for sure!
Still trying mate 🤞. Will get there some day
Cracking job as always 👏
Cheers Vinny 👍
Cracking job mate A beautiful car that 👍
Cheers buddy 👍
Let’s get cracking! …mint!
I hate wiring. I know I'm crap at doing it so I get someone who knows how to do it properly. I think the takeaway here is, know your initiations foks. An, learn to read a tape measure! WOT!
The car looks very good now. Good job
Thanks Gray, yes looks mint now and drives great too 👍👍
Top Job as always
Thanks Martin 👍👍
Look a different car with them wheels 👍🏻👍🏻
Much less old weekend classic and more race now 👍
I think you might find that it's lower on the passenger side to allow for driver weight. It's common on corner weighted setups etc. Just an idea. Nice video as always non the less.
I’d need to put on some weight to get it level, McDonald’s here I come ha ha.
Lovely job as always.
And,did it go like stink?
I want that car
👍👍👍😜🏴🦕🦄😁🤞✌️
It’s soo nice to drive 👍
@@ODDAutos it will deffo be better now you got right wheels and leveled out suspension done
👍👍👍😜🏴🦕🦄😁🤞✌️
Love it but won’t the wheels run the arches on accelerating, cornering and speed bumps
No there’s not that much travel, also they sit just inside the arch 👍
Unreal colour is that maratine blue?
Was the car corner weighted for a chunky driver??! 😂
Ha ha must of had a nickname like “Chunky” or something 🤣
Clearly NOT aftermarket, it's a factory PCCM unit.
Ohh didn’t realise they fitted those in 1979?
@@ODDAutos not in 1979, but it's factory inn that it is a Porsche radio and not something like pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, etc😁
That is stunning. The dream spec! Great content given you guys a sub and a follow on Instagram 👍🏼
