Do you get 100% of the set, if you buy all 4 precon commanders? I want a full set, but for the 200, if its not the whole set i would avoid it.
Wow, we got a real Fallout loremaster over here. Paarthurnax is my favorite Brotherhood NPC
Yes the Dark Brotherhood of Steel
Shout out to my peeps at the Institute of Winterhold.
Man i love being the guild master of the Railroad
You hurt my soul. Paarthunax is the synth dragon that the brotherhood of blades wants you to KILL. He's a chill dude and certainly not aligned with Maxon and Delphine's chapter of the Brotherhood.
I just wished they allowed us to turn on delphine and jarl elisif and balgruff @TangledLion
Don’t forget about the best plot point in new Vegas, where Alduin asks you to receive the platinum chip, which will allow him to rule Over the imperial legion.

Platinum chip? Dude he sent him to Megaton for a GECK
The cold open was fucking gold 😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really appreciate that WotC put full-art basics in these precons. It's one thing I won't need to upgrade later on if I end up really liking the deck.
It's almost unbelievably cool. I honestly would not believe it.
The basic lands are gorgeous!
I'm so excited by the mutant menace deck. Payoffs for small amounts of mill is really intriguing.
My only complaint is that they didn't reprint ruin crab as a mirelurk hatchling.
Honestly the best part of it to me are the rads aren't permanent so it doesn't make you a perma archenemy at the table but still allows you to have pretty explosive turns, PLUS AN INEXORABLE TIDE REPRINT PRAISE BE
@@agrape2887Rads are great because you can straight up antagonize one player or be even handed and it's not much different than mill, but with great payoffs
like Prof said: they are maybe not the strongest of all time. But isnt this what we are sometimes even complaining about? That Powercreep is taking over? For me, the most important aspect is, that they are a full FLAVOUR-WIN. The more you know the games, the more you understand how much love and details are in there. I almost got tears when I saw the Arcane Signet. I will always remember how I kept the wedding ring in my Inventory all the time during my playthrough. Or getting an treasure (Nuka-Cap) when you sac an food token (Nuka-Cola). Or the Radiation-Mechanic. Also the art style fits Fallout 100%. Thats what is important to me. Thank you Prof. Im glad you are a true Fallout-Fan yourself. Prof.. Prof is always right..
Yeah, when I saw the Nuka Cola Machine my first thought was that it was such an awesome flavor reference to the game! Much better than just a generic Magic card with a Fallout name and art.
The lore is so spot on, I'm legit impressed with how well these cards capture the feel of Fallout. A+
I'm in the same boat. I'd rather win with a fun and fair deck
I am a little upset we didn't get Maria as a legendary artifact but yeah, flavor is a blast with these.
Keeps sponsoring the mtg youtube with the absolute best hair is a really strong marketing strategy hahahaha

I had never played a Fallout game before, but then I saw the Scrappy Survivors deck and was so excited to see a good boy commander that I bought it and started Fallout 4.
Liked PURELY for the proper Latin pronunciation of "Caesar". My Classics minor is so happy
Ave, true to Caesar.
Edward Sallow
Hoolius Kaiser. :)
Кесарю кесарево =ъ
I absolutely love that you pronounce Caesar the way you do, it shows that you know what you're talking about.
May I ask why does he pronounce Caesar like that I’ve always heard it normally like Caesar salad?
that's the right pronunciation in Latin@@collinturner5307
Hmm so Kaiser is correct and not Caesar like Julius Caesar. I too would like to know why this corruption exists. Thanks.
IRL, call it linguistic drift.
In New Vegas, it's a why to tell who's thrown in with the Legion. Pronounced the proper way, they're with the Legion. Pronoucee like the salad, not with the Legion.
@@thelonewanderer117But didn't Prof say he doesn't ever pick the Legion? Mmmmmhh... suspicious
I am buying Scrappy Survivors solely because I own a German Shepherd like Dogmeat and I want to make it a deck dedicated to my own goodest boi ❤
That's awesome man! My fiance's mother had a German Shepard, loved that dog. The closest I can come is that there's a little cat on "instrument of the bards" that looks like my cat
Glad that the Caesar deck is good out of the box. I know VERY little about magic but the shear amount of NV love convinced me to try. Can't wait!
One thing to note about the energy deck is that there is also going to be a jeskai energy commander precon in MH3, and they've already shown that new energy cards will also be showing up in the regular set. So if you really like the energy theme and want to focus on that part of the deck, we may very well be getting a lot of new options coming up
I was literally looking up the Hail Caesar deck as you post this. I wanna tear it apart for Mr. House and build a dice roll deck.
Ironically you probably only need the mr house card and the bubbleheads for that
I'm also stoked about Mr. House, he looks like a hilarious commander.
All I need you to do is to either use poker chips or bottle caps as your treasure tokens. That would be a flavour win.
@@AlessandroAltosoleChannelAren't those the only cards that do anything with dice
There's a ton from the dnd sets and unfinity, and if you want to dip into silver border (with permission of your playgroup) there's even more@@durttheelder4035
Personally, I'm always happiest to see maximum variety and minimum power. It means going back and enriching old cards by way of finding new synergies instead if forcing old cards out due to power creep.
Also, nicest Myriad Landscape art to date, actually feels like all 5 colors are present.
Edit: Also, energy comes back in MH3, so Science! might improve drastically in þe foreseeable future
The Prof's picks on Card Kingdom is how I first got into commander and I really appreciate it. Really helped me learn to not just buy the most expensive deck or singles.
This may be stupid, but your keeps ad years ago helped my transition. Wanted to say that to you at magicCon, but the meet and greet line was capped.
that's so cool!
I got Dogmeat just for Dogmeat.
Had a great time playing these in a Pod last night. We each had a different pre-con.
Thanks for the informative videos as always, Prof! My best buddy is getting into Commander with this Universes Beyond set.
Been so excited waiting for this video to come out.
Been hoping to use this set to help get my Fallout-obsessed wife into MTG, so I am very happy I went with Hail Caesar now that I have watched this video!
Might have to pick up the Mothman or Dogmeat deck to play against her. 🥰
I just want to express how glad I am that I found your channel. I'm transitioning from being very invested in hearthstone and dabbling in magic arena only on occasion, to making hearthstone an occasional treat while picking up paper magic.
This channel is a wealth of information and seems so welcoming and encouraging of new players. Your delivery is great and you're clearly adept at engaging your audience.
Life is hard and I'm very thankful people like you exist who have such utility in making this fun, complex game easily digestible for people excited about trying a new hobby.
Thanks again for being you.
Love the break down of each decks worth and value in both money and playability. Great descriptions and comparisons made to other universes beyond decks.
let's go i have the two best on the way in the mail! I did have to cave in and order on amazon though, I checked both of my lgs and they were neither taking pre orders nor sure if they would have enough of the decks, so I just took the opportunity to ensure i'd have these awesome decks to play.
I'm so excited to build Mr. House, President and CEO! I've already made my list on tapped out, and it can do some nutty things
Thanks Prof! I've been undecided about these for a while but I'm intending to try and lure one of my best friends into playing MtG because she's a big Fallout fan!
I played Scrappy Survivors today at my LGS. I haven't had that much fun playing MtG since long time! Absolutely in love with Dogmeat. Recommend grabbing it!
I'm saving this video for when I've already received my decks, I want to go through all the cards myself first. Hopefully they're ok decks!
These videos are absolutely amazing for anyone new to commander, and those that are trying to get others into MTG and commander as a whole.
Always a helpful and comprehensive review. Thanks, prof!
I found this channel a while ago and I really appreciate profs approach to magic. The most important thing to him is getting the best mtg product you can get for a a reasonable price.
I was lucky to grab a Hail Caesar deck when it was
Love the flavor behind these. Love my Mr. House deck. Love the idea that you'll be making a Behind the Campus video.
I'm gonna play the Mutant Menace deck next week and I'm pumped for it! Thanks for the review!
Appreciate all the effort that the professor puts into these videos. Fantastic job
I love that you've actually played some of the games. Other reviewers were tripping and falling their way through pronunciations and completely unable to even comment on how excited they were as Fallout players.
Preordered Scrappy and Science and gonna upgrade Liberty prime to an energy/artifact theme with some blink effects to get a lot of energy. Will try to make the three dog deck in the future too!
So far Dr.Who UB (Universe Beyond) was insanely fun since WOTC also added new Planechase cards to the decks.
When it comes to Fallout decks I can't wait to get Science! because I have wanted to play a EDH Energy deck since Kaladesh, which was so long ago it feels like a fever dream... after watching the video: I still want Science! :P
I was honestly Hoping For them to become a thing in all Universes Beyond precons. I would consider buying UB precons from IPs I'm not particular fond on or interested on if I get to add that plane into my planechase deck.
The Science! deck isn't that bad. The energy synergy is indeed lacking, but in the punchy department it's no slouch! Without energy upgrades, I'd use Liberty Prime as the commander; with energy upgrades, Madison Li becomes a serius contender.
The Mutant Menace is a league above, though.
The Science deck went well on Game Knights. Although it was piloted by the mad scientist, Kyle Hill
Hey prof, great content as usual! I really like the rad and junk mechanics! They feel very thematic and I wish we could see them again in the future, even though I struggle to imagine this wish becoming reality. I preordered the whole lot for 180 euro, which is approximately 49 dollars per deck. Now I just hope they’ll arrive!
The lore summary at the beginning was potent. Truly excellent and I could feel the internal screaming of many lorehounds. Well done.
I bought Mutant Menace at my LGS for the launch party and I must say the rad mechanic is super flavorful. I love this deck, it’s super fun to play.
I am currently sick and thought it really got to me, listening to the first part of the video, funny as always PROF
Been waiting for this, thank you!
My group played a fallout themed pod last night and I loved playing Dogmeat. Pre-War Formalwear was a great card to surprise my opponents with.
Most wholesome ad I've ever seen. Thanks for adding a smile to my day!
YESSSS!!!! I am so very excited to play with these decks! I want to keep them as is for lore/flavor reasons, but I plan on getting some singles of commanders I want to make build arounds of! SO many legendary creatures, so little time! xD
I got the Science deck and upgraded with energy cards from Kaladesh. I loved energy back during that time in standard. It’s not nearly my strongest deck but after the upgrades it’s tons of fun.
Do a shuffle up & play with these decks!
I pulled apart the science deck and remade it better with cards from Kaladesh and Aether revolt…only 27 of the original cards (not including lands but I did fudge with the lands a bit) from the precon stayed. But the fact that we got a Jeskai Energy Artifacts matter deck is the best part to me. I’m playing today and can’t wait to see how good it is
Ended up preordering through TCGplayer when they had the special for all 4 at like $168. Really great value imo I can’t wait till they arrive in the mail
I’m so happy I was able to preorder the set for 150 on Amazon
Think my price was 164, I put my order in back in October.

Bought all the fallout commander decks (after seeing this video from the Prof.), and looking forward to unboxing and showing them off in one of my next unboxing videos.
Would mean A LOT to me if you took a minute to watch our guide to building Three Dog, Galaxy News DJ here. There's a lot of cool insight and talk of Commander strategy: ruclips.net/video/uf3C8L1Yy2w/видео.html
Watched. How about the Next deck tech: Shaun father of Synths, please :P
I definitely watched it! I genuinely LOVE your custom deck series including the budget precons! Appreciate you so much Prof!! ❤😊
Sick tie on today's video Prof!
I'm honestly loving the positivity for hair presentation in this. As someone who has had male-pattern baldness since 28, having to cut my hair from Prof's length to buzzcut at 30 (it started looking really bad long) having an occasional pick-me up is always appreciated 😁
I bought the four pack for my girlfriend and I to enjoy. She’s never played magic but she’s a huge fallout nerd and spent over an hour looking over the cards and gushing about the fallout lore and all the details in the cards.
I love that i watch these after preordering them all a while ago.
Thanks for the 'is it worth it' video! I always appreciate your honest opinion, even when I have already ordered produuct. I just received my decks that cost me 160 euro for all four and I'm really happy with them and excited to try them tomorrow with friends. I also can't wait to built three dog!!! I got even more excited by watching the trailer for the new Fallout series. As someone who never played the game, but appreciates the flavor on the cards, I bet the series will make me an even bigger fan of the flavor. :)
Just bought all 4 for $200 at my LGS. This set may not have the best value, but I really dig the art, nostalgia, and mechanics of this set. I’ve been wanting to buy a full precon set for a while, and even bling them out with custom sleeves & deck boxes.
The best thing from this set is that they printed 'Everflowing Chalice' as your trusty Vault 13 canteen. Absolutely love it.
Props (and my first-ever TCC thumbs up!) for the correct pronunciation of Caesar (def gonna have to check out New Vegas now).
It's also nice to see a Fervent Charge reprint-I have an original and always felt that that card was underrated.
Here's hoping they do a better job with Energy in MH3.
just picked up scrappy survivors, excited to play and get into magic

That was golden! Your humor is unmatched in the MTG world.
It has come to the point where I think the same way about Bethesda games.
Absolutely agree. Struggling with the varied prices right now way above 50 USD.
Full art lands is nice. I like that the more premium products are getting full art lands now a days (with the cats and dog deck having them too).
Been playing the precons all day and must say.. I have been loving all 4 decks !!
It's always so mindblowing listening to these when it comes to pricing, just as an example, each of these decks here (norway) goes for about 79.99 USD, while a full (say MKM or Outlaw) playbooster booster box goes for 215 USD. Importing is a heck
Been trying to get into magic over the past few months. I picked up the mothman deck last night but also want to get the legion deck especially after the video said its the best for new players. Now i just have to find a place to actually play at. 😅
Managed to snag the set at ~45$ per deck. Can't wait to test them out!
Loved the lore primer!
Glad I put in my order when they were ~45 each! Can’t wait to get them.
Thank you for always mentioning that MSRP would be so helpful in standardizing pricing for these products.
I pre-ordered the Scrappy Survivors deck for 40€ (about 45$ i think) because Dogmeat is a good boy and deserves all the love. Jokes aside, i think that it was a good deal at that price and i am still happy about it.
I got lucky with my pre-order a couple months ago and got a discount on amazon, so i got all 4 for only around 40 a piece. yay.
Best Keeps pitch I have ever heard. Thank you, you beautiful beautiful being.
My sample booster (Mutant Menace deck) had an extended art Codsworth and a borderless Sol Ring…best part both were non-foil.
I payed 180 for all 4 about 45 a piece. My nephew is a huge fallout fan and is very excited to come over and play them likely this weekend
Best opening of a video yet prof
Something that should be noted about the hail Caesar deck is that the secondary commander. Mr. House, more or less doesn't work with the deck. There are a couple treasure makers and a single other dice roller. (luck bobblehead) A fun looking commander but doesn't get much from the aristocrat theme.
Thanks for the vid, Prof!
6:04 …y’know, I thought you pronouncing it right earlier was great, and then you had to go and say who you really sided with in the Wasteland.
The Burned Man would be disappointed sir.
I'm mostly excited to build a Mr House deck, though I did pre-order all 4 way back when for $45 each.
Just picked up all four Fallout Decks with sleaves for $175 at my local shop. I am loving the art and I cant wait to find more people to play with!
I don’t play Magic, but you sir are a treasure of a man. Amazing content.
6:15, nailed it on the head without fail. Some consistency in prices would be nice.
Hope you're having a good day, Professor.
I do enjoy joining Caesar’s Legion in NV, but it’s for the challenge of being hated by basically everyone. When I RP, or think outside challenge runs, yeah screw Caesar, and anyone that says “ThE NCR wAs JuSt As BaD aS tHe LeGiOn!”
Prof I just want you to know I followed your advice to the T I bought all four decks from my favorite lgs and got them all sleeved in dragon shield sleeves in new game genic deck boxes
I really like the scavy scavenger, played against, mutant and sciencse deck. Its really fun, and they all got good flavor. I have a tendency not to upgrade my univers beyound decks😅 i like my 40k cards to stay together, and the same with my lord of the rings 😅
I was just checking out these commander decks :D
I never said with the Legion when I play NV, either, Prof. I have tried, but then the encampment wound up getting massacred. Crazy how thst happens. I was very glad to see them make Caesar and Lanius as legendary creatures though. Huge huge part of New Vegas lore.
NGL Wizards got my brother and mine with these decks. We're both big Fallout fans, and they have archetypes we really love to play.
My brother picked the Science deck, and I grabbed the mutant deck. If one day I find the Preston deck, I'll grab it as well.
I got the Scrappy Survivors deck at my LGS for $55. So a bit over. Playing it was super fun but I used Preston as the commander. It just felt better with him as the commander. That enchantment Strong Back is super strong!
I really just want to get the Butch DeLoria card from these decks, so I can build an entire commander deck around saying "Tunnel Snakes Rule!" as often as possible.
I drove outside of town to see if I could get my hands on one of these decks, but not surprising they were all sold out. I did manage to get $30 worth of singles so I can build "the Hail, Caesar! deck at home" which just runs Kelsien, the Plague as the commander.
But when I do get another chance at these, I'll be able to buy the one I want and get a discount on it too. Which is better than my original plan; trying to use a over a pound of metal bottle caps (worth 14 cents Canadian) to try to buy a single Fallout deck.
Local store was selling them for $55. Buddy of mine and I got the Caesar and Dogmeat decks. They were really fun to play.
Dogmeat Voltron got scary. But Caesar’s 1/1 soldier tokens overwhelmed 😂
Played the Science precon recently. While it's a little saddening to see energy not get the love it deserves as a mechanic, the deck itself pilots pretty well. What I like the most about it is that both of the commanders offer something to players new and old. Dr. Madison Lee is great for newer players, since she gives them something to do at pretty much any point in the game and is very straightforward in her design. Liberty Prime, however, is very good in the hands of an established player, as it benefits the most from someone who understands sequencing to pull off effectively. I tried the robot, and it is a blast to play.
Yeah, they could have easily added Dynavolt tower and a few others to the Jeskai deck but I added some from my own collection and mixed it together with my already existing Jeskai Artifacts deck and I think it should play nicely now. With tower and Decoction module and maybe Gonti's aether heart, the deck can actually produce a more consistent amount of energy, whereas out of package it feels like you either get some energy cards during the game or not see a single one..
i have the science deck waiting for me to collect, I have been brewing a Rex deck and cant wait to puild him in paper he is such a fun commander that gets very silly very quickly
I know that’s what this product is designed to attract, but I’m a total MtG outsider who picked up the Mothman deck. Super overwhelmed to start, but excited nonetheless!
If anyone has any tips, it’d be appreciated. I’m gonna sit in on some matches at my LGS this week.
