. . . . . hmmm if don't have any magic cards do you recommend I just buy singles? or precon? I recently watched those spell book products videos and im not sure if I should by a precon, spell book, or just buy singles. I really don't know what to buy if go that route. Those universe beyond cards seem cool, but I don't want to upset people if I play them. what do you think?
Would Choose Kellogg, Dangerous Mind over Monoxa, Midway Manager. Paying an extra 6 to roll some dice seems like unnecessary compared to extra Treasure Gen and Commander Stealing.
Why are you pronouncing Caesar that way. I had to look it up to be sure im not crazy. Sure there is a german pronunciation that is almost what you said. Hard C or K sound to start.. but its not the english or really any other way to say it. I mean is that how you say "little Caesars"? You know the pizza place? Its "see-ser" not "kie-sar"... not sure why it bigs me so much. Just though an english major would know that.
If im wrong then im wrong, but please bring a good explination, hopefully with situations.

The biggest outrage of the Fallout set is they did not print the Platinum Chip as a legal copy of Krark's Other Thumb.
And now I'm making it as a proxy, just like I did with Vulpes Inculta as Isshin. Thanks for the idea.

Not only that, but not having blue so I can't win with Mechanized Production and win with an army of Securitron robot Tokens? Literally how you win in New Vegas in that quest line... so disappointing!

I love the unfinity cards in here for flavor because Mr. House's dream was to travel to space.
I bought the Hail Caesar precon and tore it apart to build a House deck. Wizards definitely dropped the ball on the chance to make a great precon for House.
Eh, the only House-worthy cards in that precon are House himself, Luck Bobblehead and the reprint of Ruinous Ultimatum. Aaaand maybe the lands from the set to keep it in character.
They dropped the ball, little wheel, go spin, landed on an unfavorable outcome.
Yeah I'm building roll a d20 tribal but just buying the single of Mr house and like 2 other cards from fallout. Screw hasbro.

Yup, that's my main gripe with it.
This is what I love about Prof and Magic players. WotC doesn't do something, the players don't let it go. They just say "F*ck it, I'll do it myself!"
Atempted Murder is oddly flavorful for a New Vegas themed deck as well. The main character is (attempted) murdered in the opening cutscene of the game and you see crows everywhere as you embark on your journey of revenge
This + the fact that the Storm Crows the card generates have the 50's greaser aesthethic shared by the Tunnel Snakes are the reasons I kept Attempted Murder in my version of the deck.
Hey Prof, my friends got me into MTG commander and your "build your own Precon" series helped me find some of my favorite creature types, aristocrats and vampires with your aristi-cats deck! I can't wait to buy and try this one out next!
Anyone else find it funny that the prof, in his "this is the precon you're missing out on" video, did NOT include the Battlebond lands either?
No. Because it demonstrates why they need to be put in all/more preconstructed decks: They are too expensive. Unlike WotC, TCC "has to" stick to the $45 limit.
Started to adjust the Caesar deck for House, but this is so much better.
I started building this exact deck when House was spoiled. Very glad to see almost every card i put in it was featured here! Some cards i added where Pitiless Plunderer, Illustirous Wanderglyph, and Vexing Puzzlebox to bank off all the tokens youd be making. Thanks Proff

I was disappointed that Mr house didn't really work in the deck. I have been working on the same concept myself.
I gotta say, I think you're missing that Unfinity works GREAT theming wise, this could totally be a Wild Wasteland kind of DLC expansion. New Vegas definitely leaned that direction with Sierra Madre and Old World Blues. That sort of theming, if made darker, would work great with the vision of pre-war Fallout

@TolarianCommunityCollege the neither of the deck lists you posted are $45. On is the $109 and the other is almost 200. The video didnt cover the downgrade either.

I had built my own semi-budget Mr. House deck as soon as I got the Caesar deck! I'm glad our decklists are pretty similar. I included some token doublers in the form of Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Anointed Procession (proxied because both total over $100), more damage pingers like Mayhem Devil, Disciple of the Vault, and Nadir's Nightblade, and cards that bring in Attractions 😁
I can most of these cards to be reskined as if they belong New Vegas. I also love Mr Houce. It was one of the hype moment for me to reach to New Vegas and finally talk to the guy. He totally deserved his own deck.
This is one of the best content ideas you have done. I would love to see more of this. It's the kind of thing Varina players had to do, but not every "lost" commander had popular tribal support.
Started on this deck the moment the card was announced, just did my first few games with it tuesday, so much fun!

I love that Fallout 1 and 2 got a decent amount of love in this set, and that Fallout: Tactics even got a card. I was expecting the Master to get a card, maybe Frank Horrigan or Tandi, but to see people and places like Ian, Aradesh, Junktown, the Cathedral, Necropolis, Vault City, the Oil Rig and the Temple of Trials represented was a pleasant surprise, and Behemoth of Vault 0 was a fantastic surprise.
As soon as I saw Mr. House's abilities, I knew this had to be the first deck I ever built!
Pretty cool watching a video where most of the cards I alright knew about or had, but also thanks for letting me know of the existence for a few that I didn't know about, lol
Rene Auberjonios was one of the best audiobook narrators too!! The Phenderghast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child was really brought to life by Rene! RIP man, thanks so much!

Thanks for the video! I had bought the "Hail, Ceasar!" deck because I already had a Mardu aristocrat deck and wanted more cards fitting that but was disappointed that Mr. House didn't have any real support in it for his dice rolling effect. This'll be a big help on getting the dice rolling (pun very much intended) on my own take!
I absolutely love to see this! This is exactly what I named my house commander deck before I even knew the hail Caesar deck was coming out. I always make a joke with my friends saying looks like it's time to go to the adventure dome. Which is basically an amusement park located here in vegas

I love and appreciate this idea. House is my favorite Fallout character ever, and I was also disappointed that Ceaser got the precon instead of him, considering House's mechanic is much more unique, and on flavor imo.
I love it. This is the kind of deck that keeps me coming back to Commander. Unique mechanics exploited to the max!
As soon as they revealed Mr.House I started building the deck. I printed out a proxy of hin to slot as the commander and went to town a couple months back. Have loved it ever since. Being a big D&D fan helps as well. One of my favorite decks and the flavor of the card and its abilities is top notch!

House’s outburst is one of my favorite moments in fallout 76, just seeing the true him after you have this idealized thought of him is so perfectly written.

I'm brewing a Mr House deck but also including all 7 bobbleheads just because I had to get extra silly with it. I already run a Vrondiss deck and need more uses for my dice tower! Can't wait to borrow some inspiration from this build.
Ever since Maldhound talked about it I've been wanting to work on Mr. House so this should be plenty of inspiration in putting together my decklist.
After I finish working on my Elas il-Kor/Lurrus aristocrat deck that is.
I've been dying to try Commander since watching Prof's channel, and I would love to try this deck specifically!
I'd also suggest Vexing Puzzle Box for this deck! But man this was exactly what I wanted to see! My Caesar deck is already fully modified, but this House deck is awesome!
I've been playing a proxied version of this deck i built for about 3 months now and its so much fun to play. My pod does generally has a higher power level so i run the Ancient dragons but they dont take away from the fun of literally gambling your way to a win

This is fairly simiar to what I was brainstorming as my build for Mr House. Tweak the mana base a bit and toss in the rest of the bobbleheads (I feel that if you run any you basically need to run all of them) and its functionally the same.
You should definitely do an episode of "shuffle up and play" with this deck, I would love to see it in action from another point of view
I too, was hoping for the precon to be based on Mr. House. I love adding "chance time" shenanigans to my commander games. Luckily for me I already have most of the cards you mentioned in this video, so i barely need to spend any money to make this deck.👍

Hey Prof! I was really excited about Mr. House when I saw the spoilers, and I made a decklist similar to this except it had attractions and some 'copy artifact' synergies with Mirrorworks, Sculpting Steel, and Mirage Mirror. I included some of the other bobbleheads (not all), and Vexing Puzzlebox for d20 rolls, ramp, and as a way to tutor out your favorite artifacts. It provides a viable way to win with the Luck Bobblehead if you aren't already winning with your massive board of Securitrons.
After watching the video, and playing with a proxied version of my decklist, I'm probably going to cut out the attractions like you did! Too clunky on the table, and it takes up too much deck space for only one d6 roll a turn.
My own version of Mr House, that I got to try out earlier this week, is probably a little less spicy because literally every nonland card cares about or rolls dice, meaning I lose stuff like the treasure synergy cards. But that's fine, because it's a lot sillier that way.
The fact that this version only runs Luck Bobblehead and none of the others so you can't even try to gamble for the 1 in 280 thousand win should be a crime though.
When using all the bobble heads in a deck it just becomes so much worse. I know I know, fun over winning etc.. but drawing into 3 cost mana rocks which dont do much over n over feels bad

My table let me rule 0 him as a proxy commander months ago and It's been such a blast to play. Been on a ROLL with'em since having a real one to play with!
Love this deck idea, House felt a bit out of place and I am glad to see a fun list built around the dice rolling mechanic can be done. I have a 60 card R/B D20 roll deck from the D&D sets just for the extra mechanic and chance. Since they used Rex for Science! deck you could use K-9 from Fallout 2 as a suitable replacement as K-9 was also a cyber hound on the West Coast.
This is so tempting to build I love how it feels to roll dice in Magic.
Hearing House called a villain threw me off ngl. and am now about to go into a deep dive research into House lore to figure out just how villain like he is
I've built Mr House with many dnd cards and unfinity-- more focused on the treasure making aspect to be able to work more cohesively while still remaining flavourful. I even bought Nuka-Cola caps on etsy and aged them for real TREASURES 😇 playing it on the Holo Foil nuka cola playmat feels amazing along with custom dragonshield sleeves with the pip boy rolling dice on the design. My friends absolutely love playing against it and borrowing it to play too.

YES VERY GOOD I'm so so so hyped to build Mister House and while I am ALSO excited to look into Unfinity stuff with him, this is a really good look into the dice "archetype" as a whole!

I think inspiring statuary could be a good budget include allowing you to generally cast most of your spells without needing to sacrifice your treasures.
I had a good deal of these cards, and itd great they finally have their place. Although I kind of wanted to put all my bobbleheads together, which is looking like a different deck.
Just considering if I should order the few cards I don't have.

I love ebony fly. It's a may affect too so you can simply ignore the rest of the text if there's creature removal on the board.

I'm definitely building this deck, id probably add impact tremors, war leaders call and purphoros, as there is a bunch of tokens being made.
