- 'Alright Now' by the band Free features one of the most iconic guitar riffs in rock history. Sounds great on just one guitar and this lesson will show you how to play it like the man himself, Paul Kossoff. Download your free 'idiot proof' chord and finger position charts here: www.bluenotegu...
Being a slave to the soil (farmer) we're putting seed in the ground in western Canada. Not much time for guitar now but always check in with your channel whenever possible. Always enjoy the lesson material and your side comments. Keep up the great work!!
im still catching up with the dduddu from apache,,,love your vids..
Most people dont realise hat there are 2 guitar parts
All Right Now is what’s chiselled into Paul Kossof’s grave stone… poor chap. Thanks for this tut, chap. Nicely done. I tried countless times to cover the guitar part back in the day, but didn't appreciate Paul had recorded 2 guitar parts in stereo. Couldn't make a single guitar sound convincing but this interpretation is a fair crack at it! 😊
I always wondered about the chords for "All Right Now" thanks
Ahem... Live with Drums AND Bass, if you please.
You are the COOLEST, you pick the coolest tunes. And I am very thankful to you mate!!!!
Very cool Vox guitar. Thanks for the lesson and the guitar😊
looks like a paper chromatography to separate out the chorus from the verse
That riff is uncanny, put you in a dance mood straight away, thanks for the memories
Yes you do have the voice for it. When we first heard you on "Mr. Tambourine Man", my wife and I were amazed. It's not usual to hear in tune singing during a teaching video. Keep on piickin.
Looks like Paul Rogers!
He does indeed. A little less road worn version.
nope this guy has his own hair unless its attached to the hat
Or Eric Claptons younger brother.
I dont dare play a song according to sheet, tab nor notation without hearing the song a few times first. Theres no possible way to write down grooves and vibes. You have to hear them to understand them. Yeah, I know all about Beethoven being deaf when he wrote some stuff, but classical music contains too many instruments to groove in symphony. Thats solo and up to the soloist discretion.
Nice concise lesson. Now my band has no more excuses. Funny, I have a little Vox battery powered amp with drum beats that sound exactly like your guitar. Lol.
I think your teaching style is fab and acurate ❤
Fantastic tuition Rob as always 🙌🙌🙌 huge respect 👍
you are the best, man... for sure. ¡regards from colombia south america!
Pfft. Nothin. My guitar goes up to 11.
This song popped up in my streaming-music feed last night. One of my favorites!! Certainly sounds a lot more complicated than it is -- I guess because there are several guitars in the recording. Now I just need an electric guitar to play it on. Guess I'll have to see how it sounds played poorly on an acoustic. 😂
Thanks!
You resemble Paul
Fantastic
Alright now …. I want a Vox Apache. Lol
awww adorable, a guitar made of stale crumpets for that dobro resonant edge
You always have built great guitars Tony! ✌️
That's a cool guitar.
How do I get your tab sheets on mobile phone. Not got a laptop

Dubbies Listen to the music or long train running? Great lesson, thanks for posting.
Yep, great choice.
I watched a video recently saying the A chord has to include a 6th STRING 5th fret A note to sound full because Paul was unhappy until he stumbled onto that fingering.
I can hear a top A on the 1st string. Opening beat. Could be a studio dub for the recorded version. ✌️
Thanks Rob, great video!
LOL thats cool!
Does it have a built-in amp?
Sorry Fennah, I just listened to the original and Paul does not play Dsus4 to D. Maybe my ears are deceiving me. But all in all a very nice demo.
Yes, I’ve tried to add notes from the other guitar that is featured on the record. There are two guitars panned left and right. Good point though. 👍🏻
@@fennahrob6934 Ok, thanks.
Thanks
Hi Rob can you do Sunshine of our love by Cream
I’ll check it out. 👍🏻
Thanks!
“Who” songs would sound great on that guitar … n early Stones
Who? How about the Guess Who?
I want that guitar
Thanks Rob; I saw an older video of 10cc's I'm not in love you made, that would be a great song for a lesson to!
I’ll do it Michael. 👍🏻
Excellent, thanks.
is that a gold record behind you?
Yes; I got it for a live album when I was signed to RCA.
Thanks
Thats great.😊
Thanks Rob.
👌😉
Thanks!
Cheers! 👍🏻☕️
Super!!❤
What's the reason for you're name backwards. 🤔🎶
Too many Rob’s. Not many Fennah’s. 👍🏻
Brilliant 👍
Absolutely nailed it, sounds bang on to original single version of All Right Now, who'd have thought that All Right Now would sound so good on a VOX guitar, impressed 😀
How much is it?
Not sure. You can pick them up second hand for around £300 (ish).
Dave wakling played a vox ttear drop not unique
Did it have a built in amp and speakers?
Does Dave’s have a built in amp and speakers? The Vox Teardrop shape has been around for decades, Brian Jones played one, but not with built in amp and speakers. ✌️
To date, Enya Nova go sonic is the only guitar I can find with built in amp and speaker that is now on the market. Have you tried it?
Not yet. 👍🏻
