Transmission oil replacement, the easy way on Lexus LS460.
With this method you can't drain oil completely. Risk of damage is great. I drained approximately 3 quarts and then added 3. then repeated proces 3 times. I wasted some oil, but it was easier than doing it recommended way. You can drain through the pan and refill using my method, just keep tab on how much you drained.

i just did it. the old fluid came out to be a bit over 5 qt.

In st. Lucia it's 30 bucks a bottle if the conversion is done .

I like your method but it assumes you have the correct amount of fluid to start with....Do you have a way to check the proper fill before you start?

Any drawbacks....can you tell us the exact amount of oil that came out...and what was the temperature you did this at...roughly..for example.. 5.2 quarts at 74 degrees F... thanks!
