When its cold, when it is hot it isnt an accurate reading because the oil gets distributed throughout the whole engine, so it may look like its full when hot, but in reality, its because the oil is flowing

Decently clean doesn't mean the oil is good to go.
Remember oil oxidation occurs during those times.
      Honda oil change.
      Normal:
Every 10,000 km (6,000 miles) or 1 year.
      Severe:
Every 5,000 km (3,000 miles) or 6 months.

    • @smallsimplestuff2791

Usually off. Depending on the age of your car, you might need to turn off the car and let the engine cool down long enough so that the oil can flow back into the oil pan. This will allow you to get an accurate measurement. Usually about 10-15 minutes will do. With newer cars, you can probably check it while the car is running just fine. You can double check with an experienced mechanic or just turn off the car and wait a few minutes just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps!
