      It really is man!!! All I can do is just carve the skatepark rn lol I can barely even Ollie. But when I ride in, I love to hit those ramps so fast and get a nice carve. My inspo is the 70s skate scene. Whenever I get high and just barely make it the expression “ride it like a wave” just pops into my head lol

    I’ve street skated all my life. The last 12 off the board due to knee surgery’s. In my days we only had mini ramps and launch ramps steps and maybe if we were lucky and lived near a skatepark we could go to that. I wasn’t so lucky but I’ll say this I picked my board at 50 after 12 years off it and I’m just having more fun watching these videos and then going to the skateparks that are many in the Atlanta area . I could Ollie garbage cans when I was young but Learning to carve and pump throughout the park and learn lines is way more fun at my age . Skateboarding has saved me again. Thanks for making these videos guys/girls.

    2:39 - Awesome slide. What kind of wheels were used to allow the slide? What kinds of wheels could prevent slides from happening and grip better for faster/tighter bowl carves? Riding an 18" hybrid with reverse kingpin trucks, so I could try larger, grippy downhill wheels unless there's a threshold we typically shouldn't cross.

    • @SkateparkLessons
      @SkateparkLessons  Год назад +1

      Thank you 🙏🏽 I was skating on really hard wheels in this video. You can slide on grippy wheels but it is usually more challenging. Watch my Powerslide video to learn more about slides. The main factor for wheels is doing research to buy quality urethane. For longboards I typically use orangatang and for skateboards I now use Bones SPF or STF.

      @@SkateparkLessonsyes! While I was practicing switch carving on flat I noticed something important: how close your foot is to the center of your tail. For some reason, the closer your back foot is to the center of your tail, it becomes easier to balance when it comes to your front foot being close(r) to the front two bolts.

    Get a surfskate if you really want to know what intense carving feels like. I can't describe it, but its so much more radical that you can do on a skate board because of its mechanics.. (Caution, very very wobbly since it is super super lose)

    • @SkateparkLessons
      @SkateparkLessons  2 года назад +1

      Surf skate can set a limit to your skateboarding tricks, use a normal board and just loosen the trucks as much as you need. Not exactly a surf skate but I made this video on a regular board which allows me to still skate anything I want and not only carves. 💙🛹💙
