    JB: I've listened to so many instructors on youtube, and honestly the quality and detail in your videos are 100 times better than most. I don't understand why youtube is not ranking your channel more highly. Particularly liked your content about how to bail from manuals - that is unique. Most other channels either skip that topic or just repeat the same old stuff that everyone else is saying.

    I've recently injured my wrist by an unsuccessful frontside rock n roll that led to fall back (because I leaned back) and landing on my wrist. I'd really like if you could make a tutorial on how to fall when u shoot the board forward and got over rotated to the back.
    P.s do u recommend using wrist pads?

    • @SkateparkLessons
      @SkateparkLessons  3 года назад

      Many falls and slams are just that. Some are unavoidable and unexpected so you do the best you can when it happens. This is why skateboarding earns people’s respect.
      One of the best ways to avoid injury is by being alert and recognizing when to push your limit and when to just cruise. 💙🛹💙

    This might be a weird question but Josh what is your shoe size because I’m looking for a new skate deck because mine is way too narrow (it’s a 8.0).

    Is it easier to learn manual with high or low cruising speed in your opinion ? Thanks

      Depends on the person and their level when they decide to learn manuals. Typically adults are nervous and go slow, kids will skate faster and try 💙🛹💙

    This felt like a home renovation show maybe… have been skating 20+ yrs I was really hoping for a couple tips to get my nose manuals more solid. But there were a ton of actual tips that were completely left out- that you were obviously using in the vids. Like explaining the pinch point to your heel or toe, that allows you more balance and can help turning, like you kept doing on and off the ledge. Also explaining truck tightness would have helped a few people I’m sure, but idk, much❤️

      Yes this video was for manuals only and not nose manuals, and to help people start doing them. I’m sorry if you feel it didn’t meet your standards, this video is meant to build confidence and understanding to beginners, it sounds like you would benefit more from a personalized skate lesson rather than free home renovation tutorials. Thanks for your feedback, good luck with your manuals. 💙🛹💙

      Thanks Dude! Because it’s better to have and not need it than need it and not have it, you’ll understand when you’re in your 40s and learning to skateboard, and even if you’re young, most of the best and craziest skaters wore knee pads to push their limits. 💙🛹💙

      @@SkateparkLessons yooo didn't expect you to respond lol. Suppose you're right, I'm certainly not touching a bowl without full pads & a helmet. Nice tutorial btw, helped me wrap my head around manuals a little bit more and I'm closer than ever!

    thanks but .... I fear manuals and wheelies are completely abou tbalance, not technique. You have it or you don't have it.
    I do not.

  • @joshuapowers4623
    @joshuapowers4623 2 года назад +1

    So funny unnecessary criticism. Doing a manual on a skateboard is the exact same thing as doing a manual on a bicycle. To make it like a wheelie you'd have to figure out a way to incorporate some pushes.

  • @hefangdotcom

    Why do you suggest ollie before manual? Isn't ollie much harder than manual?

    • @SkateparkLessons
      @SkateparkLessons  Год назад

      A controlled manual is typically harder than an Ollie, and you usually ollie into your manuals when skating. 💙🛹💙
