Remember episode 2 of the season at Joffrey’s wedding; Tywin told Cersei to have Shae brought at the tower of the hand?? I’m thinking that’s when the affair started happening 👀
41:37 oh, yes. For sure. Remember at the wedding reception meal Cersei pointed Shae out to Tywin and he said, "have her brought to me in The Tower of the Hand," or something like that. This was _before_ Tyrion told Bronn to put her on a ship. Tywin had already intercepted her, flipped her, and probably had spies on her from that moment, which is how the next time we see Shae is at Tyrion's trial. Tywin riding Tyrion for frequenting sex workers and then giving Shae a glow up before bedding her is EPIC hypocrisy.
In the books when Jamie saves Tyrion he confesses to him that his first wife Tysha actually was a real girl and not a whore set up and that Tywin forced Jamie to lie about it. This makes Tyrion so angry he tells Jamie how Cersei is a whore who fucked Lancel and 1 of the kingsguard while Jamie was a way and even says he actually was Joffrey's murderer. That's the reason he goes to the tower of the hand to confront Tywin. When Tyrion was hand of the king Varys showed him the secret tunnels under the red keep and that's why he knew how to find the tower of the hand.
I didn’t cry as the red wedding took place, as I more pissed than I was sad. The first time I even got teary eyed was that Arya and The Hound scene. How can you blame Arya? She’s been in a death camp and saw people get tortured for days. She was in the same vicinity as her dad, mom, and brother, when they died. She saw her brother’s decapitated body with his dire wolf’s head sewn to it and she’s only 11 maybe 12 years old.
Shay didn't play from the beggining. In Joffrey wedding Cersei tells Tywin "that's Tyrion's whore I told you about". They found out about her and probably made her testify against him. What choice did she have? She was a little fish trying to survive. In the books she confesses to Turion that Tywin and Cersei had threatened her life, she begged him and cried, but Tyrion killed her anyway
I mean I would agree otherwise but Shae was told again and again that King's Landing and the Lannisters are dangerous and she should leave for her own safety. 44:10 Well, I didn't read that as Missandei snitching to Danaerys. I think that was more "girl/crush talk" between the two of them. Like, Missandei was asking Danaerys for her opinion or advice on the situation.
@28:17: Pod belongs to the same family as Ilyn Payne, who is number 1 on Arya’s kill list for executing her father. So, she definitely isn’t coming with Brienne and Pod…
This is a legit editing tip: Record the sound of your AC by itself, invert the soundwave in whatever editing software you are using, play that inverted soundwave (in the final edit) while you are watching with the AC on, the inverted pure AC soundwave SHOULD cancel out MOST of the AC sound from your live recordings.
Yeah Drogon is the biggest since he was the most independent of the three, and dragons grow based on how much they eat and how much room they have Edit: Also, yeah tywin is nowhere near as good as littlefinger to make a long con like that but its still fucked up that he did that the night before his son gets executed
👏🏾👏🏾 That rant was entertaining. 😂 Please cut Arya and Sansa some slack. They’re both playing different games in order to stay alive. Keep watching and you’ll see. Seasons 5 & 6 things get turnt up for them (and everyone else). Take a break but come back! 🙏🏽
I've been waiting for you to see this episode for so long. Shae has always lived rent free in your head 😂 and you've been trying to figure her out. Great reaction 😅
I read Arya's refusal to kill the Hound very differently than you. There's multiple ways to interpret it, which I think is really fun! I think she couldn't do it because she has grown close to him. It's different from killing other people on her list because she doesn't know anything good about them. Killing the Hound after he was ready to fight to the death *for her* is different. He's not just "another name on the list" anymore even though he tried to bait her to do it by saying that - and other awful shit Now, it would have been a merciful thing to do, to end his suffering. But she's still a child and I don't think she wanted to be the one to kill him, especially when he was framing it the way he was (as Arya killing an enemy) I can definitely see why people interpret it differently as well though!!
“She wondered how far this Saltpans was, and whether she could find it by herself. I wouldn’t have to kill him. If I just rode off and left him, he’d die all by himself. He’ll die of fever, and lie there beneath that tree until the end of days. But maybe it would be better if she killed him herself. She had killed the squire at the inn and he hadn’t done anything except grab her arm. The Hound had killed Mycah. Mycah and more. I bet he’s killed a hundred Mycahs. He probably would have killed her too, if not for the ransom. Needle glinted as she drew it. Polliver had kept it nice and sharp, at least. She turned her body sideways in a water dancer’s stance without even thinking about it. Dead leaves crunched beneath her feet. Quick as a snake, she thought. Smooth as summer silk. His eyes opened. “You remember where the heart is?” he asked in a hoarse whisper. As still as stone she stood. “I . . . I was only . . .” “Don’t lie,” he growled. “I hate liars. I hate gutless frauds even worse. Go on, do it.” When Arya did not move, he said “I killed your butcher’s boy. I cut him near in half, and laughed about it after.” He made a queer sound, and it took her a moment to realize he was sobbing. “And the little bird, your pretty sister, I stood there in my white cloak and let them beat her. I took the bloody song, she never gave it. I meant to take her too. I should have. I should have fucked her bloody and ripped her heart out before leaving her for that dwarf.” A spasm of pain twisted his face. “Do you mean to make me beg, bitch? Do it! The gift of mercy . . . avenge your little Michael . . .” “Mycah.” Arya stepped away from him. “You don’t deserve the gift of mercy.” The Hound watched her saddle Craven through eyes bright with fever. Not once did he attempt to rise and stop her. But when she mounted, he said, “A real wolf would finish a wounded animal.” Maybe some real wolves will find you, Arya thought. Maybe they’ll smell you when the sun goes down. Then he would learn what wolves did to dogs. “You shouldn’t have hit me with an axe,” she said. “You should have saved my mother.” She turned her horse and rode away from him, and never looked back once.” -A Storm of Swords George R. R. Martin
Man, can't we wait until season 6 to talk like this? It's a weird thing to say because there's still a debate on season 6 being better than season 4. I get people don't like how the show ended, but it was good up until then. Season 4 finale isn't even the peak of the show lol.
During Joffrey's wedding, Cersei identifies Shae to Tywin, and he says to have her brought to the Tower of the Hand. Then Bronn takes her to the dock. Tywin's people would have picked her up then
The reason Tyrion goes to Tywin's quarters is he realizes he's in the Tower of the Hand, where Tyrion himself lived when he held the position. This goes down a little diferently in the books. Tyrion is definitily a much darker character whereas in the show they sort of "whitewash" some of his questionable acts. In the books he was never in love with Shae, and she never was in love with him. Their relationship was a "businnes relation" so to say from beggining to end. So when Shae betrails him during the trial it's not out of a broken heart, Tyrion even concludes Tywin got to her and payed her to tetify against him. When Tyrion finds Shae in Tywin's bed he jumps on her and chokes her to death, she never even tries to defend herself whereas in the show she rushes for a knife so Tyrion kills her in self defense. Sorry for my bad english
I am not sure about how this is filmed, but in the books I always thought it was a good thing that Arya wasn't able to kill the Hound. The show people say it's because she thought he deserved a slow death but in the book it's more like "he's no longer on her list."
Interesting theory about shae, but i think, and as far as i googled, the official version is that shae did genuinely love therion but because he pushed her away she got angry and did what she did, but it still doesn’t feel right for her character, because if you really love someone and think they don't like you anymore, you don’t just want them dead, do you? And i also just found out that the actor that plays shae is actually german and did her own voice over for the german version, i will have to listen to that again but its a funny coincidence
37:10 Going full Charlie “Pepe Sylvia” 😂 Made me crack up. But yeah Tywin and Shae are real d-bags to Tyrion. And its up to the reader/viewer whether they (and Bronn) played him from the jump, just informing on him and trying to manipulate
There's some crazy stuff with Jojen in the books. In the books, he gets extremely depressed shortly before arriving at the cave, showing that he did, in fact, know what was about to happen to him. However, he actually makes it to the cave, and then a short time later disappears. A short time after that, Bran is given a nasty red paste to eat to amplify his psychic powers. Readers have theorized that this red paste included some of the remains of Jojen's body.

Here I am ignoring all the things I need to do!
In the books it makes sense why Tyrion went to find his father, and it also makes him killing Shae more understandable.
Hahaha the women rant was hilarious!
44:10 Well, I didn't read that as Missandei snitching to Danaerys. I think that was more "girl/crush talk" between the two of them. Like, Missandei was asking Danaerys for her opinion or advice on the situation.
I think this is the first time we see tywin scared or shook.
@28:17: Pod belongs to the same family as Ilyn Payne, who is number 1 on Arya’s kill list for executing her father. So, she definitely isn’t coming with Brienne and Pod…
Damn I love that Bri vs Hound fight. Level 12 fighter vs level 12 paladin
That fly has a longer life span than half the show characters at this point
"You will never walk again. But you will fly." just CHILLS
Reporting for duty my King... Hell yeah it's that time again boys!!!🎉
Bro, I'm dead 🤣 That rant!
the music on the hound's monologue is killing me :') love your reactions every time, you're a funny fella
even better now I've seen where the music's from lmao
Yeah Drogon is the biggest since he was the most independent of the three, and dragons grow based on how much they eat and how much room they have
Edit: Also, yeah tywin is nowhere near as good as littlefinger to make a long con like that but its still fucked up that he did that the night before his son gets executed
Highlight of season 4 for me? Barry’s episode 1 rant when Cersei said Jaime stayed away too long. Had. Me. CRYING
This episode is absolute fire...I've been looking forward to you watching it for ages, I knew you'd freak out lol
Aw man… I just binged all these reactions and didn’t realize I was about to catch up to real time… now I’m jonesing!!! Ack!
The Hound wasn't in top form he had an infected wound on his neck cause he wouldn't let Arya cauterize it.
Shea: “Tywin. My Lion.”😂😂😂 Tywin crazy
So when this aired we’d go to work the next day and all rant just like this to each other. It was so fun. ☺️👏👏👏
@26:39 “ I’m not go lie Sandor putting them hands on you… NEVER MIIIND!!! Fck what I’m saying!”
I’m in SHAMBLES 😂😂😂😂😂
I've been waiting for you to see this episode for so long. Shae has always lived rent free in your head 😂 and you've been trying to figure her out. Great reaction 😅
I'm so happy you've clocked Daenerys' bloodlust this early!!!
Yes, not many people do. And those are the people who complain later iykyk
He's not just "another name on the list" anymore even though he tried to bait her to do it by saying that - and other awful shit
Now, it would have been a merciful thing to do, to end his suffering. But she's still a child and I don't think she wanted to be the one to kill him, especially when he was framing it the way he was (as Arya killing an enemy)
I can definitely see why people interpret it differently as well though!!
“I . . . I was only . . .”
“Don’t lie,” he growled. Do it! The gift of mercy . . . avenge your little Michael . . .”
“Mycah.” Arya stepped away from him. “You don’t deserve the gift of mercy.”
The Hound watched her saddle Craven through eyes bright with fever. Not once did he attempt to rise and stop her. But when she mounted, he said, “A real wolf would finish a wounded animal.”
Maybe some real wolves will find you, Arya thought. Maybe they’ll smell you when the sun goes down. Then he would learn what wolves did to dogs. “You shouldn’t have hit me with an axe,” she said. “You should have saved my mother.” She turned her horse and rode away from him, and never looked back once.”

"Few of the birds that Aemon had sent off had returned as yet. One reached Stannis, though. One found Dragonstone, and a king who still cared."
Wow! You and that fly are buggin' lol.
Last GOAT era episode
GOT GOAT
amen brother A Storm of Swords is on its way out
Indeed . The golden age has ended , now we go straight to the Bronze Age and in season 8 we will enter the dark age .
Man, can't we wait until season 6 to talk like this? It's a weird thing to say because there's still a debate on season 6 being better than season 4. I get people don't like how the show ended, but it was good up until then. Season 4 finale isn't even the peak of the show lol.
More like brown age tbh@@stormbringer2840
Arya didn’t want him dead. She and him are kindred spirits.
The North remembers. She finally avenged her old friend whatshisface. People forgive child murder way too easily when it comes to this show.
Bro your commentary is hilarious 😂😂😂
“You don’t trust him but he gone thrust you”😂😂
During Joffrey's wedding, Cersei identifies Shae to Tywin, and he says to have her brought to the Tower of the Hand. Then Bronn takes her to the dock. Tywin's people would have picked her up then
I love your rants 😂😂😂😂
This eppy is lit from start to finish..In the top 3 of my favorites of the entire series..
xo
in the previous epîsode, Arya told the hound, -That wound as gotten you much/a lot slower than usual. That was a nerfed hound
Patreon is totally worth it folks 🎉
The way I already KNEW you would be so upset about Shea.
I think the hound would have won without the gaping hole in his neck from the guy with the weird teeth, but this proves brienne is an olympic medalist
37:10 Going full Charlie “Pepe Sylvia” 😂
Made me crack up.
