- There's a room behind the Trouble center that I am 100% sure that none of you knew about in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I know this because I know basically everything about the game, and even I didn't know about it.

To people saying i suck at pronouncing "Gus".
GOOSE IS A DIFFERENT GUY
Gustavo 👍
Yeah Gus is wish Ishsnail. He even comments on how we kick his butt.
I like pretending you have an exotic accent.
Wait, me?
I wondering how the eff he got in if the door is taped over and you need to go sideways to enter in the first place
no way someone claims nobody has seen something in a game AND is actually right.
How tho 😭 thought that room was easy to find
Anyone who watched Chuggaaconroy back in the day saw this
I know, right? For once, I did totally miss the thing.
I was there
I've known about Gus running the center, ever since I was 10, 17 years ago. I was an ambitious kid, messing around with every secret I could find, and found this by TOTAL ACCIDENT. Never deleted my save file on my memory card since, and it's STILL on my GC, even a while after I got it modded.
I remember finding this by accident when i was 4, only because I'd keep exploring the ENTIRE map because i could never solve the general white quest.
lmafo I can't remmeber what my hangup was either but yeah my first playthrough I vividly rememmber being stuck and not being able to launch to the moon for a while
@@idahodreams for me personally, it was because it was before I learned how to read, so I *really* couldn't solve it lmao
Brute force only got me so far
Same
@@NickStepBoh my gosh. Reminds me of the time when I played pokemon and I couldn’t read. I was very confused and asked my dad to read some for me lol
@UnsettledSoldier yeah lmao! My mom was my ride or die for reading. I even made her read the e-mails but after 2 she told me they all said the same thing and we should stop 🤣
I've never seen the room.
I've also never played paper mario but that's beside the point
I saw game grumps play it so I definitely never saw like 30% of the game lmao
I've seen that room and finding it is actually really easy, there's an NPC in the west sewers that sells hints and secrets for coins, I grinded that guy and have seen everything he offers.
you did what with the guy??? 🤨🤨
@@paulbooij7425 Unspeakable things, have you seen him? he's irresistable : O sexiest man alive
Bro, you might do stuff like that but I'd NEVER 🥵
@@paulbooij7425 he ran the honky tonky with old Wonky
Phrasing could've been better lmao
I remember finding this, never knew people didn't know about it!
That’s because most people do know
Same!
I honestly didn’t know it was that well hidden.
I mean you done initially think there’s a back door or to use flurries power on that specific spot.
But I’ve been playing this game for 2 decades now it’s rare to find something I don’t know about.
I remember little 7 year old me thinking to myself “There must be some way for the worker to get in there!” So I tried Flurrie back there and I was right 😂
Post like this are made just for hype. "Number 5 will shock you" they do it for views.
I’ve played this game a million times but I’ve never seen this room😱
Another secret room you might not have known about is after the gloom tail fight there is a bombable wall that you can break and get a few items from
@@benjaminsitler5380 knew that since a kid, don't ask how I found it 😂
@@miguelcr3585 the ttyd guide book?
Same!
@@AD-mq9yh nope, I couldn't solve one the tower puzzles, the room with the puzzle that involves blowing up a wall I thought it meant go to the beginning of the thousand year door and blow up at the end of the gloom tail room lol
There's a character in the game named Wonky who lives below in Rogueport Sewers. He eventually gives you a hint about the Trouble Center's backdoor, along with other hints in the game. That's how I learned about it as a kid.
Yeah, but it seemed like such a waste to give him any coins. By this point in history (2004) GameFAQs already existed, so if there was ever anything you were actually stuck on, you could check there for free.
I...I know this game like the back of my hand...I've never seen this.
right i thought i knew everything, i'm shook
Same here. lol I have certain things memorized but I have never seen it before
But not the back of this building
I literally have never seen this room and I’ve played through this game three times. You learn something new every day, I guess!
Wow that 1% seems pretty huge
Yeah it was a click baity title tbh lol a lot of people know about it
Fun fact: 1% of the total human population is about 78 million people.
I'd say it's an over estimate.
99% people have been in it. Uploader is an Fn LIAR 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@chuganoga1908 I didn't know it and I'm now mindblown 15 years later
thousand year door sold like 2 million copies, so 1% is still 20 thousand people
I reckon 99% of people haven't even played Paper Mario TTYD, to their unknown sorrow.
Good thing I picked up the remake then. Having a blast so far. Just got into the Island one. I did watch a few videos to learn things. Like a 7th party member who I got and the remake has 2 new bosses.
This is my favorite game of all time and I was so convinced that whatever you had to show, it would be something I'd seen before. I have never seen or heard of this before and I'm shocked!
How???? Chuggaconroy literally showed this room in his playthrough, I thought everyone knew about this.
I imagine not everyone has watched Chuggaconroy's playthrough.
@@fahkyew7776 I never even heard that name before reading these comments, let alone watched that person play the game. I've never watched ANY full playthroughs by anyone else either for that matter.
@@Alloveck I'd heard of him, but I haven't watched much of his content. There's never been much of a reason for me to watch a TTYD playthrough because I've already played the game so many times. I did know about the hidden room, though, because I think I read about it on some forum like 15 years ago.
@@jsegoviaWhy would you assume people have all watched let's plays of the game, let alone one from a specific person? That's an extremely unreasonable assumption.
Okay, that was not false advertising, I have literally never found this room. I've watched my brother play as well, and he was more religious about checking areas with Flurrie, but he never found it. That's crazy.
Wow I’ve played the game loads of times over 20 years and never knew this room.
This makes me feel so, incredibly old. 😅
Hang on let me boot up my old save file...
You could also just wait for the remake getting released next week.
I’ve never seen that room!!!
Understandable. I doubt a full 1% of people have even played this game
I was gonna say wtf that’s not right, this game was pretty well known back in the day! But then I realized maybe you’re referring to 1% of all people ever in general and then I was like, “hm yeah maybe ur right actually” lol
The amount of copies sold of this game is equal to 0.176812606% of the human population.
1% of _that_ would be 0.00001768126% of the human population.
Glad to be part of the 1%
I've never played this game before. I was shocked to learn of this door's existence.
There's also a room that straight-up has a murder scene in it that's only in the original Japanese version. And literally no one addresses is in the game
Oh shit! I didn't know that! Good to see this game have even more surprises for me after 20 years!
I remember finding this by accident on my first playthrough because I was so lost on where to go
I accidentally found it when I was 5 or 6 by just exploring and screwing around as a child does. Took me like half an hour to prove to my mom that I wasn’t making it up lol. I just felt like the wall looked a little off and went for it with Flurry.
HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW? But for real that is interesting... I never knew the trouble center person even had a face
there's a guy in the sewers who sells secrets, and one of the ones he can give talks about it.
Give us more credit than that. At least 50% of us found it.
more like 80% this is just voluntary negligence or involentary incompetance.
Not really. The hidden door is pretty tough to notice.
@tibby4503 yeah most of Flurrys flyaway papers have a tail tail sign like a corner to signal to use flurries there, with the back of that building you had no way of knowing.
@@Ghostraider202most reasonable people arent going to go around gale forcing random walls unless they find out about it through someone else
@@sythrusthats literally how people USED to find secrets rather than youtube videos. Plenty of people still do it
At first I was like, "you dope everyone has seen that!" But tbh idk if anybody has seen that not even hardcore players
Oh man, I remember finding this room and…being underwhelmed. I’m just like, “cool, a place I found by accident.” It is cool to know that others never found this room tho! :D
I genuinely have replayed TTYD three times and have NEVER seen this. Holy shit. There's no clue that blowing on that area with Flurrie does that, so that's amazing!! Thank you for showing this.
Finally a curiosity video that actually shows something rare. XD
To this day i stand that TTYD is in the top 5 gamecube games ever made and still holds up today as a strong title.
I guess I'm one of the 1% who actually found this on my own. Very cool detail and secret though.
Holy cow!!! This is surprising that I've never thought to try and find this it's right there almost in plain sight!
I admit I never knew this
As a person who's a TTYD fan but never played it, I haven't seen this room until now.
Why would you not play the game if you're a fan? Were you holding out for the remake?
@@SilverLining1 When I got into it, the game was pretty old and the GameCube was no longer the main console. But thankfully a remake came, so I can be able to buy it now!
Apparently child me is part of the 1%, but that doesn’t surprise me since I remember systematically searching every corner of this game for secrets xD
Played this game for YEARS. Never knew about this
99% haven't seen it because they haven't played the game. It's very simple.
I've played the game and never seen it, I've watched a lot of Paper Mario 64 and TTYD content, never seen anyone else talk about this room until now.
@@ergoth154 That is very possible.
There are certainly some people who have played the game that have never seen this room.
@@ergoth154good for you. You want a medal?
Played through this ever since I was a wee tyke and I just thought it was supposed to be ambiguous as to who ran the trouble center. Thought I had uncovered every back door there was. But I'm surprised by this one
i knew about it and i bet atleast 30% of the players did
Bro what?? Never knew
Chuggaconroy showed me and several others this :D
HeYyy what's up everybody
I'd never heard about chuggaconroy until many comments mentioned him haha. Will have to look into him now
I've already found it when I was a kid and after that, my mind just instantly blow!
Hopes this room will be here in the remaster.
Its not out yet?
i mean i found it pretty easily but yeah if you don't think to have flurry out back there and use her gust move then of course it's pretty well hidden
I thought it was standard procedure as a kid to backtrack with a new partner looking for places to use their abilities.
Good for u bro, u want a cookie?
@@youtubeuser5524 like omg it's been totally my life's dream to have a cookie I'll even repeat my comment with my mouth full of cookie if u want look at all those crumbs fly out like dust it's snowing!
It was in the strategy guide lol. I thought it was really cool though when I did it myself though.
Only reason I found this room so easily is because, from the first time I had Flurrie blow away a covering and from the first time I ground-pounded to find a Star Piece, I did both absolutely EVERYWHERE, trying to find every secret I could.
I’ve known about this room for a long time now, but I don’t remember how I first discovered it.
Same here I’ve just always known it was there but it’s been so long since I first discovered it.
WHAT!!! I'VE 100% THIS GAME TWO TIMES AND NEVER FOUND THIS!?😱
I DIDN'T know abut that! What the hell?!
With this game coming on switch, I’ll play it for the first time, it’s great to know in advance this stuff
I only found it after a video like this a while ago. I booted up my game cube and immediately checked.
The way the walls and doors fall open is such an awesome aesthetic detail
Well...my knowledge in TTYD was minimal, even though I cleared the original some time ago, it is nice to find things that we didn't knew even if we are experienced enough
Every single time i finish a chapter, before i start another i always fumble around the city and the sewers either cus:
1. i'm a dumbass and have no idea where to go to continue the story
or
2. i'm a dumbass and forget the correct path to where i wanna go.
in between the chapters, i stumblep upon that room the second time i got on that back alley, it's really not that hard and i don't think that many people never stumbled upon it before too...
I had NEVER heard of this - And here I thought I couldn't learn anything new about this!
I have beaten this game no less than 20 times and I have NEVER seen this room
i found this room while searching for darkly
I'd like to say that I already knew that because I've played too much TTYD, but I actually never had a chance to play it... until next wednesday!
dude how have i never known this

Omg 😱 😲 😱 😲!!!! How did I not know about this? Thanks for showcasing.
what do you mean 99% of people never seen this? more like 97%
@@Makons420 this is the first real version of this comment haha. Everyone saying it's more like 20% are just part of the 1-3%

I would have thought most people had seen it.
You thought most people would blow on random walls when all other spots you can blow on are hinted at in some way?
@@MikeKing001The guy in the Rogueport Sewers who gives you hints tells you that there's a back room.

Guess you do learn something new everyday.
You just blew my mind, I never knew about this and I've played this game a million times lmao

That loop was pretty slick!!
I spent years not knowing this, learned it a few years ago and it blew my minfd
If this is really a thing i gotta check it out! So cool!
This was literally my reaction to finding out about it haha. I saw a picture of the door and said "is that photoshopped?"
I can’t remember if I’ve done this. It’s been like 20 years lol
Poor Goose...
I never knew about this !! Thank you for sharing!
What the heck I actually did not know this. You taught me something, and I thought I knew literally everything about this game.
Never knew about this and I’ve had this game since 2005!
I have found it...i like seeing small secrets...I figured some secrets are hidden like them ninjas using paper to conceal their wall. It was actually clever.
Wow, i genuinely had no clue this was a thing! You got me 👀
I've played this game several times over the past 15 years, and I never knew this existed. There's always something new to learn about this game, and I love it.
I found this room my first time through the game.
Wtf how'd I not know about this, how would anyone know about this?!
Why do people edit their videos to make it seem like it loops forever? It makes no sense
its so that you don't realize and wind up rewatching it. So if everyone views it twice they get twice as much views, engagement, and therefore revenue
Pretty much more engagement, a nice way to tie a video together that got less clever as everyone did it. Revenue still sucks for shorts :/
Because youtube shorts are cancer, coming from the original cancer: Tiktok. The more tiktok you are and cancerous you are, the better youtube likes your video
Omg you just unlocked a memory from when I was a kid. I did this and forgot about it! Idk why I thought to use Flurrie there but for some reason I did.
This is the only game I still own from my childhood gamecube and I've seen it. I was thoroughly exploring everything bc I was bored
I’ve been to this room bro you don’t know how thorough I am when it comes to JRPGs

….how did i not know this? I scrubbed through the game before and, this is…interesting
I was just sad that there wasn’t any way to get Goose to let you take those sketchy quests
Yes, I have in fact. After doing a bunch of troubles, I started looking for whatever the heck Mowz was on about, and just tried a bunch of random stuff.
I have had this game since 2004, and I didn’t learn about this until recently! That’s so crazy!!
