      None of us exactly know how tall is Creek tower
      The reason why Creek tower was stop is due to jeddah tower

    It was initially proposed after Jeddah Tower was announced because Dubai wanted to retain its title of having the world's tallest skyscraper. Since Jeddah Tower is now abandoned, it's no longer a necessity.

  • @Codraroll
    @Codraroll 2 года назад +130

    The problem with this tower is that it has no economic case. Emaar already owns and operates the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest tower in the world. They *already have* the tourist attraction promised by Dubai Creek Tower. It already attracts all the tourists who would want to come to Dubai and see the world's tallest tower. Building another, taller tower won't make more tourists appear, it just means the same number of tourists would be split across two attractions. Doubling the operations costs, splitting the profits, it would benefit nobody. It's much better to keep the tower they already have.
    Another primary purpose of Dubai Creek Tower was to act as a centrepiece for a whole new city district they were planning to build. There would be tens of thousands of luxury apartments for rich people. But then the same reality hit them: Most of the rich people who'd want to buy an apartment in Dubai, already own one. Building thousands of new apartments won't increase the number of customers. There is already an oversupply problem, with several large-scale projects in Dubai going bust because of it. The whole city district was quietly shelved. What's left is a relatively small island of half-empty residential towers way out in the sticks.

    The Russian War in Ukraine must support Creek Tower, because Europe refuses to buy oil and gas from Russia. The request for middle east oil and gas arises and the profits for arabian states will explode. So from point of money, the Creek tower must be possible. And different to normal skyscrapers, where request may be saturated, an arts building like Creek Tower has no saturation problem.

    depends on demand they can finish the tower at 2025 - 2026
    why demand is hight?
    because of war: eu people are moving to dubai (warm and sun), ukraine and russsians people are moving there as well, indian and chineese people parking their capital, us people are moving their capital and businesses as well

    The creek tower stopped because when saudi arabia knew about this they were so quiet and the stopped building the jeddah tower, now saudi arabia is trying to measure the height thats why dubai stopped creek tower and dont worry its not abandoned.

    Hmm.
    Tall buildings in cities are not a tourist attraction for me.
    I would sooner spend my money hiking through unspoiled nature before it is destroyed by creeping urbanisation and climate change.
    Each to their own I suppose.

    Not a mention about the slave labour used for building these monstrosities has dwindled, due to the horrendous conditions they're expected to work in. Many Indians and Filipinos have returned home after they were left for dead, starving during the pandemic.

      but that’s what you want to believe. Hate it or not, no one is being mistreated no matter what country someone is from. The western society does nothing but sprout lies to protect their pride and honor. They used the same psychological tactics such as slavery and say that such and such country has slaves, people dying and being forced. They are pointing fingers while they’re the ones who had no civil rights and raped and enslaved people and after that they had segregation. Where are the fingers pointing to now? Right back at them

      It's amusing reading the comments of people, who obviously have very poor knowledge about Dubai's economy and real estate market, predicting Dubai a crash, and saying that they saw abandoned buildings and that the others are half empty and there is oversupply. Some basic research can knock those arguments down in seconds. You can't get a unit in 2022 to buy, line up with a check hoping to get smth. Lol funny people
