- This is a step by step guide on how to Install a washing machine and dishwasher, from removing the old washing machine so it could be moved for the dishwasher to be installed in its place. the washing machine was then installed next to the dishwasher by extending the cold feed and installing a up-stand washing machine trap.

The client wanted a new dishwasher installed in his kitchen and the washing machine moving. To do this the washing machine would need the waste pipe installing into a washing machine up-stand trap, a 45° bend and 40mm compression tee installing from the existing drainage waste pipe plus the washing machine would need a new cold feed pipe as the old cold feed pipe would be too short to reach the washing machine valve under the sink.
A new dishwasher would be needed, make sure you have all the parts which should come with the dishwasher. The parts should consist of, a cold feed pipe coloured blue, a waste pipe coloured grey, a hot feed pipe coloured red if the dishwasher requires one and all the washers. 1 for each end of the hot and cold feed pipes.

Not sure about the electric socket down there…….
I need to know how to connect both the washing machine and dishwasher together to the cold water supply, do I need a new part? As there is only one connection to the water supply which I use for my washer, how do I connect a dishwasher to that as well?, I can't find one single video on here that will just give me that simple advice.
Yes you will need to get a part a dual appliance washing machine tap (see below) you can replace the old cold water connector with this one
