Great video but I'm curious. Could you run the dishwasher and washing machine at the same time by using the y shaped splitter or would that cause issues?
You can ... it rarely happens that they both are letting out at the exact same time but when that does happen at exact same time it's seems to be fine. I've never had backwash of overflow. So long as neither outflow has a kink that let's the water go back into it. You can get a valve thing that means it won't go back but I don't have one.

I've went on a purchase this Y valve, but the problem is I don't have space for both connection, because both, by dishwasher and my washing machine have this massive connection which you have only here for the dishwasher, any suggestion on how to solve thi? Also..when I scew in the Y valve, this ends up horizontal to the wall so one of the opening is facing the wall, how can I solve this?
