I think probably the best thing about your works is how you can so precisely nail the emotional standard of whatever game the song is about. Bayonetta has this bright-actiony-casinoy-display of unearthly skill thing to it, and somehow you have made that into music.
Isn't that the truth! His last two songs were COMPLETELY different than this, yet they are all perfect. I love how, unlike 99% of other artists, he covers such a vast array of genres and nails it every time. Yay MoS :D

I've played bayonetta 1 and 2 plus I'm excited for 3 and even I dont know what's happening most of the time like in the second game your mission is to save your firend then suddenly you have killed God a second time
the main characters are 2 witches(Bayonetta and her girlfriend Jean) a demon bartender/arms-dealer whos half angel(Rodan) and Danny DeVito(pretty self-explanatory) also the game takes place in the devil may cry universe

Sometimes we need a change from the dark and gritty to the joyous and fun, with songs as well. After making songs about darkness and death (Into the Mind and Shadow of the Ash come to mind), figured you wouldnt be hard pressed to do a song so cheerful.

I love this song, even almost 3 years after it's release. The piano part is fantastic, the solo in the middle especially with it's fantastic avant garde style. Gives off some serious "Aladdin Sane" vibes.
Controversy or no. Bayonetta and bayonetta 2 games are the hypest hack n slash game since the original devil may cry games (excluding 2 of course and including 4) And Bayonetta is every bit as cool a character as the original Dante.
People like to forget video games are about fun, first and foremost.

DMC and Bayonetta are the stars of the Spectacle Fighter genre, where beating enemies is less important than looking good doing it. Sadly, Dante's lost some of his luster, but Bayonetta picked it right back up.
This song perfectly captures the joy of skimming through a boss fight, just barely dodging and racking up a higher and higher Stylish combo, lost in the perfect zone. It's a beautiful thing.

the funny thing is bayonetta is not problematic. i say this as a feminist. she is the hero, the person that fights and wins, who has emotion, is the centric of the story. She may be sexy but this is part of her charakter, it's her decision to be sexy. To be honest, she is a symbol of feminism. if you want to know a problematic female charakter than look at vanille in final fantasy as example.

100% agreed! And yeah, Vanille... She's just a non-character, a fucking doormat who does nothing, and just lets things happen to her, just, urgh... I could spend hours complaining about FFXIII, especially in the character department.
But I'd much rather gush about Bayonetta, and just how great of a character she is! And imo is a good example of how to do a sexy character right! Not only is her outward design sexy, but also her personality. She does whatever she wants to, because she can, and nobody can tell her not to, and if they try, well then she deals with them, simple as that. And she just has a super strong personality in general.
She is sexy, knows it, isn't afraid to show it, and is just a complete badass in general. And people wonder why she's my favorite video game character.

I feel like this song should have been sung by a woman. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song, and his voice certainly works, I just think a girl's voice would have fit better.

Why am I just now hearing this?? This legitimately sounds like it could be the new climax theme for the next Bayonetta game.
The melody, the lyrics, everything about it sounds faithfully to the style of the game’s soundtrack.
Although, I would like to make a teensy suggestion and that is maybe adding a bit more harmony? I know there is some throughout the song, but when I listen to it for a third time I can’t help but think that something was missing.
An example would be:
“Watch out, because I don’t hold back (G Ooo, F Ooo, E Ooooo)
Keep pressin’ cause I’ll never crack (A Oo B Oo C Oo E Oo)-
Bursting with colour I spin

Even though those were just the soprano notes for the harmony, it’s still an example that I thought might complete the performance more.
